Ivan, I have it for 360, though I mostly play on my xbox one. My gt is dionysusfiend. I still enjoy the game. I'm struggling with the thorn bounty myself. I've never been good at pvp, except titanfall... So that's kicking my butt! Oh and to demonstrate how casual I am, I JUST hit 30...yeah...
-
That's very impressive! I'd love to see a guy like that returning kicks for us! I'd love to see us have someone who can generate big return yards on kicks. Those kind of plays can change a game.
-
Indeed! I haven't done the raid yet nor even a nightfall, but I still enjoy the game. Pvp is fun, even if I suck (alas no exotics yet!). I even enjoy the semi random events. I like doing strikes. The game is still fun Bungie is updating the game continually. It's not the grand scope but it's still a fun game.

So fun story, I ran my first strike today! Was a rando group for the winters lair on Venus and from the strike list. One dude dropped after the initial lair, so the 2nd guy and I tried to do the rest. He had to rez me a bunch alas! I was running as a defender but my fly leveled. We got to the boss, which was us trading aggro and taking adds as we could. We got the boss down to 30% but we just got over run. But it was a lot of fun! Hopefully I can finish one soon!

I'm not personally worried...I've been to busy with work and finishing the campaign to even get started on strikes....LOL =) I'm a new 20! Looking at the content, they need to add 2-3 new strikes every few months honestly. The "story" missions are all kind of the same, but the strikes are where the more interesting things happen. I feel like if Destiny had 3 more different style strikes, then it would be a lot better. Say instead of simply attacking boss mobs, how about we have to go somewhere and defend a point from waves of enemies, and each time the enemies damage the defense point to a certain degree, we get debuffed, or new challenges pop up. We'll get one new "expansion" in December, which will give another raid and another strike or two. That aught to help a little bit. I think most players would like to see the story addressed better. It would be nice if the story for the expansion was at least logical and coherent. I don't expect the main story to ever be over hauled unfortunately...

Sweet =) Maybe one day when I can retire I'll look into the classic games of the early 21st century =) I'll check it out at some point =)

You're not alone in that sentiment. I'm still 18 because i have no time to play, but I still enjoy it even through the story is pathetic and the missions are repetitive. I love going through areas and finding new ways to attack groups of enemies. I'm learning the various weapons like the scout rifle (which I never used). One of these days I'll hit up the Crucible...and one day Strikes! LOL For folks that power game for hours on end, then it's going to get extremely boring and repetitive unless your friends are really funny. This game should be played with friends. I look forward to doing heroic missions with fireteams for no reason other than to push as hard as we can. Also, for me, the melee attacks really make the game for me =) I love punching enemies in the face =) And mowing down the hive with an auto rifle or pulse rifle is very rewarding. As is a good missile shot... Yeah, it's not a game for everyone, but for "sheep" like me, it's a blast =) Oh, and I look forward to Borderlands as well =) I enjoyed 2, didn't play the first. I love the humor, and that it doesn't take itself seriously (cough cough Bungie!).

So I've been thinking about the story, the general fun of actually playing the game, and the social aspect as I've weighed my DLC/Expansion purchase... While the story is a complete mess in about every possible way, it is possible to fix it. A few cut scenes and dialogue changes should be enough to do that. As players we need something more than "I don't have time to tell you I don't have time..." I think just a little something that tells us why we're going to the other places. I mean, the objectives aren't terrible, you just have to give a better carrot than "OH, this is new on the director!" I still haven't played with friends yet (because I have so few xbl friends, and I'm never on when they are anymore), I can totally see how much fun this game is with other people. Soon, I hope to run some strikes and stuff with at least some randos to get a feel for them. This is the meat that Bungie needs to build the game from. That includes the strike and crucible chat systems, and I heard that there might be cross tower chat! We need more avenues to get to know people. While we do need to show Bungie and Activision our dissatisfaction with the story and repetitive game play with our wallets, I think I'm going to give them a chance to see what they do having learned from and listened to the large amount of feedback and data they collect. I hope they can fix some of the bigger issues! I really love punching aliens in the face!

So this popped up on the bungie forums yesterday: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/70895980/0/0 Depending on how true this is, it kind of makes me sick. I really love the controls, the art, and the possibilities of the shared world idea. If there was a MUCH BETTER STORY lined up, and it got gutted in the process...I just hate it. Now with all anonymous AMAs, there's a certain grain of salt that one has to accept. But it reads really true. Personally, I'm now really on the fence if I want to buy the expansions. On one hand, there is still the potential the clean up the narrative, and I do enjoy punching aliens in the face repeatedly. I'd love to see Bungie and Destiny have their 10 year run. On the flip side, buying the expansions sends money to Activision and tells them that it's OK to ship this broken of a story with this many issues (Loot, PVP, repetition, etc..). It kind of pulled the bandage of my silly enjoyment off to remind me of the very real faults of the game. What about y'all?

http://www.bungie.net/7_102-Patch-Preview/en/News/News?aid=12202 And Bungie is also going to whip the cryptarch into shape as well as add more high end engrams to the strike missions. So while there won't be easy loot caving, the rewards are to more certain. Purple Engrams and Legendary Engrams are going to be giving exotic and legendary loot, no more blues! Though I'm just getting started with my blue gear (level 15...). I for one and glad for the changes. I've also noticed the past few missions I've done, I've had a veritable landslide of items, including my first two blues. I go and buy a sweet Shengin uncommon rifle, and then I get two more uncommon rifles just doing the Gate Lord quest! Plus some sweet arms! And he's my n00b guardian with my terrible stats! http://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/1/4611686018429685651/2305843009216030947#gear

Has anyone been searching for secret areas in the game? While I haven't had the time, I found some videos on youtube of the areas that are fairly complete, even with enemies! But they are blocked off. I super interested to see what the expansions have to offer with this stuff. I am actually really excited about those because I want to see more of the game. I'm not bored (only level 15), but I have an explorers heart, and I want/need to see every nook and cranny they created. From what I've seen of King's Landing (not the name, but what I'm thinking of), the Jovian Complex, and the Seraphim Vault...Oh baby!
-
Fun stories? Again, keep in mind, I'm playing on very limited time! On the Moon Wizard mission, I punched the wizard to death after hitting him with a flash bang. That was sweet! To top that off, I jumped up into the hole in the ceiling and found a rocket launcher... >=) I'm eagerly awaiting blowing crap up soon!

So a few quick thoughts. If you like MMOs and shooters like halo, you're in for some fun. Yes, there is a lot of repetition. No this game was way oversold on how much it was. Its still freaking huge with several factions of Enemies and places to fight them. Yes it starts off easy, but gets harder the harder you push. Like go try a level 10 st i keep at 8...challenging yet? Do a hard mode! If you like super tight controls and super cod twitch, this isn't your game. The story is vague a first, but specifics as you play. Be nice and make friends. Dance! Don't be a prude! I'm loving it. Only level 3 due to time constraints, but I've been following the game for the last 8 month's or so...neigh obsessively...

All beta characters were deleted because things changed. If you like Borderlands, Halo, and social games, then you might enjoy it. It's not for everyone, but I'm going to love it. I adored the Beta xbox 360 - DionysusFiend

It's funny reading the bungie.net forums, and watching the streams. Folks are out of their minds to be "first" max level and stuff. It's kind of sad. To me, this is more than just a shooting guys in the face game. There's that and exploring the world and the grimore cards and stuff. I'm going to take my dear sweet time =) But I can't wait to get out of work here in less than 4 hours...In a hurry to play slowly =)
-
Yep. I'm so stoked. Checking out the twitch streams all day. I doubt the game dies that quickly. Its not for everyone, but it's fun. Looks to get way more insane the harder you push yourself. Kurb. I'll be on an xb1 in like January. ..

I'm so pumped for Tuesday! I can't wait to get in there and catch up to my beta character! Lol Actually, now hat I know a little bit, I can't wait to play better! Not die 5 typesetting the warp drive...I'm such a n00b!

So it's almost Destiny day...if you haven't seen it, here's the slightly humorous live action trailer... http://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Live-Action-Trailer/en/News/News?aid=12089 It's super campy and cheesy, which is what I expect for a video game! Anyone else here got their pre-orders situated? I'm picking up my xbox 360 version on Tuesday after work. I'm so freaking excited! Also, there are more of the Bungie crew and tester profiles coming out...seeing the names of places and the gear has my inner loot ***** standing at full attention. I think that's what's getting me exited the most. Secretly, I'm a huge loot *****. I love shiny stuff! See y'all on Tuesday!

That was probably the problem. Shooting him in the body is going to take forever... Sent from my VS980 4G using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

Yep. I can't wait to get a crack at him! I've seen in many videos where he takes forever to down. Got to keep blasting those legs, and rezing your team members. I'd thing your heavy weapons would be really important there. Sent from my VS980 4G using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

If you're like me, and dying a little bit everyday in before the game launches: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/31/destiny-what-a-level-29-badass-looks-like-a-ign-first That really makes me excited for the game. I'm also actually excited for the end game after watching this: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/30/destiny-the-endgame-is-only-the-beginning-ign-first Some folks are going to really bemoan the lack of match making, but having play games with match making, I'm glad we have to actually work with people you kind of know. Or at least you know they want to do well. In LOTRO, I remember getting stuck with a healer who was constantly AFK because of his bowels. Or the hunter who had to keep checking their screaming kids (talk about screwed up priorities!)... I like that you have to figure out a way to find people to run these with. Well, there we go, I really can't wait until this game comes out =)

So the beta closes tonight, and I've had a chance to put in a little bit of time between the 360 and PS3, though I haven't played the PVP (not interested at this point because I'm not too good at Halo PVP). I really like the game. I like the story, the missions, the challenges for me, and the gear. It's fun. I haven't had a lot of luck with Fireteams, but then again, I don't have a ton of friends on XBL or PSN. I just really like the game. It's not for everyone. The hardcore FPSers who gave the Halo community a terrible name are still there. Check the bungie.net forums...ewww.. Some people don't like the amount of content (those who hate DLC), soome don't like the gear grind, and people have been finding all kinds of flaws in the game. I do really enjoy my time. I like the feeling of success when I beat a boss, and frankly some of the attacks like a Titan's punch or headshots with a sniper rifle, or the Warlock Nova Bomb are really satisfying for me. I look forward to getting my preorder and enjoying what I can when I can. I don't have tons of time so the Xbox DLC delay isn't a big deal for me. PC master race folks will laugh and scoff at me, but I look forward to enjoying some Destiny soon! PS - Plus I love being able to manage my characters from the app...I spend a lot of time checking my dude out =)

In playing in the 360, and I've got two beta codes. Pm me of you are interested in playing. So far, I like the game. Is fun for me. Wish I had the scratch for a ps4 or x1 Sent from my VS980 4G using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

So anyone with a ps4 play the alpha this weekend? Anyone check out the twitch streams or YouTube stuff? For me, looks a lot like a halo game. It also looks like a mmo. I think it it could be fun, but there is little difference in the classes or races. The alpha gave little in the way of story. I look forward to actually playing the summer beta in July. Whether or not Hardy is in fact guilty or innocent, the damage to his reputation and person has been done. All one has to do is look up Greg Hardy and there are numerous news stories that have already cast him as the guilty "big, bad football player" who beat up his little girlfriend. That's what is currently in the internet due to the current documents. On the flip side, until there is a well defined timeline and sequence of events, all we have is people making things up based on extremely limited information. There are so many blank areas in this situation which need detail, it's really hard to make any kind of informed judgement. On my fan bias, I want Hardy to be innocent of hurting someone. I want him playing for us being only guilty of doing something stupid which injured his person/reputation and he caused no one any physical injuries. I'm fine with the AA meetings or any other kind of counseling because he's got to understand the consequences of his actions beyond the millions this will cost him. On my personal bias, I want the truth to come out, all of it. Were they all doing drugs that night? Was he sleeping with multiple women? Does he really own 25-30 guns and keep them loaded? When did everything go down (I'm big on the timeline thing...)? As a human being, there is so much murk in the water it's extremely difficult to know if I should want to punch Hardy out for laying his hands on a woman in that way or reinforce the simple idea of being careful with the situations you put yourself. Regardless, Hardy DFU'd (Dun F_____ Up). Either he's guilty of beating up his girlfriend, which he should never do, or he's guilty of being a dumb young dude with money and power. It's going to be very interesting to see if this goes to court or not. If it doesn't, then this will cloud the rest of Hardy's career, and might very well end it with the Panthers either way. If he laid a single hand on her in anything but gentle self defense, he's done with the Panthers. No matter the situation.
