There may be something to this black panther/cat mascot bad luck theory. Holy Fug. Even the worst franchises have SOME luck. -
Who are You Drafting with the #1 Pick of 2025???
Mills replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Maybe we can get a deal for the first pick similar to the one we gave the Bears that helped rebuild their entire roster. Its doubtful though because they have a competent GM who we passed on, and we only want dawgs. -
Lol you cant be fuggin serious

Stop Olave (and shaheed). Win the game.

Is it my fading eyesight or did neither Person or Mike Kaye include Jonathan Brooks on their rosters?

Well we missed on draft picks AND free agents so its a start.

I said emphatically that the franchises fortunes would not change until the scouting dept was overhauled. Way too many misses on draft picks. Mr Scot and Juan both said to wait until after the draft. Glad to see it happen.

Give me Payton Wilson who should be available over Lassiter.

For poos and giggles, Would a hypothetical Burns for Diggs swap be more intriguing than mortgaging future picks?
-
https://nypost.com/2024/02/03/sports/stefon-diggs-uncertain-about-future-with-bills-changes-going-on/amp/ With the news of Stefon Diggs having an uncertain future in Buffalo, what does the huddle think about Morgan making his first power move with his old team and getting Bryce a proven #1? Granted, this is coming from Diggs himself, but still could be a possibility with the Bills cap situation. Him being close to 30 would give me pause. However his cap hit is only around 20 for the next 4 years. Pairing him with Theilen and a speedy rookie or FA would instantly make Canales’ offense more dangerous. What say you?

Canales says porn and cheating past behind him I dont care if he watches animal porn at half time as long as he wins. Interesting info nonetheless.

Brandt Tilis hire official - Executive VP of Football Operations

I’ve always been of the opinion, and said before that not much will change until the scouting department is overhauled. The number of draft picks that we’ve missed on is inexcusable. I know that a few of those scouts are holdovers (Cole spencer, morrow). Not sure how culpable they are/were in the terrible drafting but we couldn’t have been much worse in the last few years. -
https://www.instagram.com/p/C2OFl1fMiGI/?igsh=Zjd0dnMzd3gyOXI3 The title of this ESPN Demeco Ryans clip.(swipe left for the IG challenged) Granted, probably not much different than the things most coordinators point out. One of his players in the comments singing his praises. Someone else pointing out how grown men address him as sir because he commands respect. Dear Nicole Tepper, please tell dave to choose the best candidate, not the one that makes him giddy.

When you get a coach who doesnt have true leadership qualities, you open yourself up to poo like the divided locker room fiasco that we experienced this season. Sure, it can happen to anyone but you best believe that the Wilks, Campbells, Tomlin types are shutting the Chit down and making for damn sure that he doesnt lose the locker room. Youre dealing with testosterone filled, 20 something year old alphas like Smitty, Ray Lewis, Aaron Donald etc., who have to WANT to go to war for you, and not just for a paycheck. They are looking the coach in the eye and evaluating him the same way that they’ve been evaluated athletically. The Reich & Rhule types aint it.

Shout out to redditor “Danofthecloth” for the find! Seems well respected, knowledgeable and thorough in his approach. Also has a good track record of hires. We shall see. “In 2015, the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles brought Forde in to take a look at their organization; soon after, they decided to move on from head coach Chip Kelly. Forde said owner Jeffrey Lurie and general manager Howie Roseman approached him about helping find a replacement. “I don’t know whether we could help you,” he told Lurie, “but I can probably tell you the mistakes I’ve made when hiring coaches and that could be of some value to you,” a nod to Chelsea’s having run through nine managers in Forde’s seven years with the club. But first he called up around 15 friends from the sports industry to gauge their thoughts. “And to a person,” Forde said, “they all told me, ‘Absolutely, you should do it, you guys are perfect for this.’ And that kind of gave me the green light.” https://www.theringer.com/nba/2021/4/14/22380676/nba-general-manager-mike-forde -

I somewhat agree. I also feel that guys like Demeco, Tomlin, Dan campbell, Sirianni all possess a certain hard nosed quality that shapes the football culture. I do believe that teams take on the personality of their coach to a point. Yes Mike McDonald is an offensive savant. His team also tucks their nuts when they get hit in the mouth. The 9ers always play Shanahan football, even when McDonald was on staff. Leaders of men is an overused cliche. BEING a hard nosed leader is not. Knowing football aint enough. Reich knows football too.
