I know. I don't think he has ever been an NFL starter but I am trying to think like they may be thinking. Play him cause you have to pay him. Line may be better but u still will have to get a new qb in 2023 draft hopefully Young.

And we still suffering from the damages he stayed longer than he should have.

Depends who is there at qb whether not you take one. You need to get your line soared up no matter the qb. Investment should be on the line and TE, wrs. TEs are a safety blanket need that for young qbs especially. No need right now to really draft a qb when you have so much vested in Sam. Build your line.

Oh yes I agree he is just a good coach. He has enough talent on some of his teams I think to have won more than just one ring. I was just saying that some coaches are just regular season coaches and can't seem to hurdle the pressure that surrounds playoffs. That seems to be the case with him. Good regular season coach, but that's about it. I'm not a fan of him but he does win to get to the playoffs.

I usually agree with u on many things but Darnold is Darnold..he was a turnover machine at USC I believe. I watched him play in one game a drew the conclusion bc in that game I watched him just give the ball away and it wasn't even close to being an explainable throw. He lost that game by himself and it is the same way now. Some things are coachable and some are not. Too careless.

How many times have they not made the playoffs? I mean that's what I would go by. Football is a grueling grind, and it's just a game at a time. Teams get hot and cold, and sometimes certain teams gave your number. I would prefer that the SB would be played like best 2 out of 3 instead of one game and just cut down on the number of playoff teams. To me basketball has a more telling story of who the true champ is. Just like college we looking at Ga and Alabama 2yrs in a row playing different teams each yr and yet they are back seeing who is the best. If ga wins I think the should play again tho.

Qb is least of the panthers problems. They need linemen and coaching. Just wait it out and get Young the following yr. If you build the line and Sam somehow plays better then it's not as bad.Before they do anything he needs to hire some good NFL caliber coaches. Don't want to be the jags.

Tomlin is not perfect by far but definitely better than any coach panthers have had. Yes, he doesn't have many superbowls but tell me who else does. New England just seemed to win best coach and qb together tandem. He should have more subs with some of those teams he had, but we say that about others as well. There can only be one sb winner. He should have let Ben walked a couple years ago. Probably would have had a better chance at the Sb.

I agree he hasn't had the chance of any substance of a starter qb not much as even a back up would. To come in with no training camp and catch covid and no true wrs and no TEs. The thing is Panthers are a sinking ship and really need to work on building the line. they sign Cam back and give him a fair try at competing with darnold for starting position like new england did and hold off on signing a qb bc the line needs major help and they need a tight end as well. If you loose badly next yr you should be in good position to get Young or another young qb the following yr. If this does not happen then Cam will be back on the couch.

I laughed bc that's who they picked for a QB. The guy is just not a starter in the NFL. That's why you don't hire a low level college coach to be your NFL coach and give him the keys to the city who hasn't proved anything in the NFL yet. If you came from a dominating conferences in college and worked magic I would say maybe. But what is a Baylor and Temple...Come on man!

He will not. Even if he is just an Andy Dalton he will not be on a team that has a decent line and wrs. This is what Cam needs right now. I hate to see him go but game over. No matter the circumstances he will not get a fair shake. It's time. Game over!

That's many positions. They needsomeone who can truly evaluate talent and play to whatever offense they want to run. You have no coordinator and the coach is just not on an NFL level. He wants to run the same offense as Ron how could you mess that up?

Darnold has really never showed much promise. Cam has and even Teddy. Darnold was picked high but he was a turnover machine in college and was a gamble. He has yet proven anything in the NFL the other 2 have. Same bad situation, but it is worse with him bc he hasn't gotten anywhere in the NFL yet.

Ok so he turned Temple and Baylor programs around, but who are they in the world of college football. Especially Temple. That is not an impressive resume. I'm not a fan of a coach that comes from a big college like Urban Myers nor Rhule small colleges to come to the NfL. How many of them have succeeded in the transition? Probably best to stick with former coaches and assistants in the NFL before going straight college. As for Cam, I don't know. They brought him in on a team that was fake news. Coaches that just edon't know what they are doing on a day to day basis. Sure Cam is making mistakes, but I kinda expected it. He has no cmc and wrs takes time to build a rapport with. This team is a mess in all 4 phases basically I don't think they could beat an SEC or Big ten college team..lol

Cam is the only one who gives a poo bc he knows this is his last outing. The other guys are young and yet may not be a Panther but will get another opportunity somewhere. So yes he tried to make a save there bc he knows the further away from the sticks the worst it gets. The point is he doesn't know the dudes he is playing with. Jstew or cmc would have still been alert expecting bc they know Cam. He is once again playing a game he can not win. Team football, but it is divided.

True,but what did they expect? Coming in off the couch and not knowing the offense. Rust. Then after the first game with limited plays throw him in 100%. He played well, but he is still limited. They should have eased him in but no. All this knee jerseys reaction is why they are in the position they are in in the first place. Stick it out for a change u not making ayoffs and if u do u will lose in the 1st round.

QBs make mistakes maybe Cam could have overcame the mistake. This was not the time to pull the guy.

I don't give power to the curse by saying it but negating it by speaking positives. It can change, but you have to believe it can and has changed. I believe that Cam can make a difference, but this time coaches have to put him in the right position. He doesn't have the Superman pure strength anymore.
