I'm not sold. I like Remmers as potential but last year no one had seen him play, no tape, now teams will be prepared. As for a log term solution, no. No way in hell I have faith in Martin. Oher is an interesting player, he has the skills. At the most they might get the job done but we need future, promise, and really talent to be coached at the position. At the least it will offer hungry competition instead of relying on a couple rejects and a player without much experience. Gross was still getting the job done but it would have been nice to draft someone to groom years ago. We have Cam now and his style of play demands an oline. He will hold onto the ball, he will bomb it. He will take his time. I just think the oline has to be better. I'm not talk all stars but just not in the bottom 5. The game is won in the trenches, I really believe that. Can you imagine Stewy and Cam behind a monster oline? That to me is much more terrifying than a shiny new WR with no protection.
-
Our Oline allows 9 sacks and you guys want a RB to counter that? Lol We need a damn oline, a playmaker wr isn't going to do poo of Cam is sacked 9 times. The oline prospects might be thin but the Panthers have to put effort into finding something that will work out. I'd much rather see any oline taken before a RB. It might not play out that way BPA wise but crap oline teams in this league don't win. I'm surprised the Colts got as far as they did...but we're even worse.
-
Peat, easily. We have a sure #1 WR, we do not have a sure starting caliber tackle. Also, this draft is loaded with WRs and after the first tier of tackles there's practically nothing. Lastly, Peat would be BPA between the two IMO.

Give the realtor a range, give them things that you absolutely don't want so they don't waste any time. Tell them what's important to you as well. Also, make sure you tell them what you'd be willing to sacrifice for another thing, for an example more land for less bedrooms or a basement or a less land for a more updated house, less distance to the city for a nicer house or vise versa. Just examples...the more information, and flexibility in the right areas, the less time will be wasted. I hate it when people waste my time and I've dealt with a few that will try to go that route like brining you in an area you said you did not want...also make sure and do as much research as your realtor is so you'll have the right questions when you need to.

No one really knows how Gettle operates. He's doing what he has to do right now. Once again, wait for cap space, wait for his draft picks to undergo an offseason (or three), and wait until he handles our big contracts like Cam and Luke. Why can't people just fuging wait, you can't conclude really anything from what Gettle has done, because he's waiting too.

Thomas Davis will get an extension, plus more not mentioned in tweets
Lumps replied to Nick_81's topic in Carolina Panthers
Do you even watch Panther games? You sound retarded. Also, CJ got destroyed last year for 80% of the year and didn't do poo. Why? Uh, no Hardy. 1 on 1 and double teams shut down CJ easy. CJ got better after the star injury settled; when Ealy started coming in and KK got more snaps and also started breaking out. CJ is not better than Hardy in any category. -

Thomas96 is right. Hardy as a player is better. Commanded more double teams and goes up against the better Oline player all game long and STILL did better than CJ. Maybe the trend will continue, maybe not, but if you watched all of 2013 season, Hardy is the better player, period. -
Shula will be a downgrade for pretty much anyone offensively who comes in...and maybe even some rookies that are drafted.
-
Yes, please. Perfect signing. KB and Olsen are 1k receivers, add Jennings as a 800 yard receiver and we'll look pretty damn good. Just need a couple of offensive tackles and LBs/safeties to groom for the future and we're set.

Finding talent is a very small part of his job and what we know about how he gives out contracts has 1,000 times more to do with the cap space. Last year he sucked at filling holes compared to 2013, he knows damn well 'bargain bin' players don't always turn out, but I don't blame him for that, that's the cap he has to work with....opinions should be reserved. That's what we know...we don't know what he'll do with more cap space, if he'll sign guys to longer contracts, or change directions all together. We don't know he could be so frugal or untrusting he won't be willing to sign cam. He might not...those are just kind of what if things we don't know. All I'm saying is because he's only been here two years, his draft players have yet to peak, has never been a GM before, and has absolutely zero cap space to really do anything. Therefore as fans, we should really wait how this all turns out before trusting every move he makes.
-
Why would it? How can you possibly say whether he's doing a good job or not long term? Especially with our cap issues? We have no idea how any of his decisions are going to work out long term, absolutely zero, this is his first GM job. No idea how the players he drafted will turn out. We have no idea how he'll handle the team wig actual cap room. We have no idea how he'll handle our big contact guys like Cam and Keek. We know very little about his abilities, very little and to me an opinion based off something so little, good or bad, is void...it's like having an opinion of how good movie is after 10 minutes. So now that I've explained why an opinion is really not possible with so little, please tell me how someone could possibly have an opinion on whether Gettle is a good GM or not after two years?
-
Pretty stupid for everyone to be but hugging Gettle Jesus Christ people he's been here for two years...can we please wait until he actually completes a team through a few drafts and we see how all his players turn out long term instead of basing everything on their first seasons or not completely sucking. Gettle is a big ? right now and if you say otherwise your opinion isn't really worth much. No wonder the huddle blows up so as we fail yet again because they don't just say 'we'll see' and sit there and act like things are going good. We really just don't fuging know, it's ok to admit that.

Yawn

Hmmm, I wonder what exactly he is going on here? Clearly not our records/wins, or cap management, coaching/play calling Unless he's saying NOW they're run by people who know what they're doing in which case I wonder how he knows that after two seasons. Or maybe he's going on moral victories and players in which case we kick ass.

WR or Dline is going to be the first pick IMO

They better remember his birthday if they want him to work.

The reason Cam isn't in a hurry to sign a contract
Lumps replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
Stewy had 800 yards in 13 games, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and when healthy he's easily a 1k back. I already said his Oline sucks but he has two 1k receiving options, and one is a rookie who will only get better. He just needs a guy with speed and definitely needs an oline. Some of you act like he has absolutely zero help which isn't true at all. We need a decent oline and speed wr, that's all. And cam most certainly doesn't need to be rushing like he does. -
The reason Cam isn't in a hurry to sign a contract
Lumps replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cam has two 1,000 receivers and a1,000 back. All he really needs is an oline and no...he really is wanting until the market sets. I think he should get less than Wilson and Luck but not much less. -
Still concerned about the tackles...which is tied to the health of Cam. The rest I have faith will be OK.

Gettleman: Oher can be answer at left tackle
Lumps replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Kind of...he was injured and took more hits that any other QB. We don't need Cam to survive...we need him to be 100%. -
I'll give Gettle a couple more drafts...at that point we really need to be able to beat a team in the playoffs and have a real chance. Of corse I'm not counting the Cardinals for obvious reasons.

Ding, ding, ding! Aside from obvious fat around your junk (losing weight makes you appear larger, or be larger rather since there is less fat), a bad diet of fat and friend Southern food is awful for your blood flow and long term is one of the main causes behind erectile dysfunction (heart disease, diabetes) second only to smoking but for the same reason, damaging your delicate nerves in your junk and restricting the blood flow. And to make matters worse, killing your testosterone. So go ahead, you guys go and enjoy your nasty ass bojangles.
