  1. Yes the 40 yard pass was a little late or slightly underthrown, but such passes often are... Some of our fans are never happy.
  2. Not sure he would for this team. We seem to have serious issues developing talent that didn't come from temple or baylor
  3. With regards to Cam maybe favoring some part of the field... I'm not worried... Worth noting mid way thru last season new England sports media picked up on the cam can't throw to the left fears we had before his release. There was a nice breakdown of that done by FTW at the time: https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/new-england-patriots-offense-cam-newton-throwing-right-side-injury at least as a patriot Cam seemed to have the ability to throw all over the field but would go thru stretches of neglecting a side, maybe because he had dog poo at receiver there?
  4. His passer rating was highest to his right, then middle, but doesn't quite tell us what he favors since there are other factors involved.
  5. For like 3 of his games... Maybe 4, altho I think even the eagles game he was bad but not Clausen bad... Darnold has 4x as many TDs as Clausen did in fewer games played... Darnold still sucked but yeah lol
  6. The difference imo is that includes the doldrums of the end of Fox (2010 was... Very bad) but 2011 and 2012 were to me more optimistic because of how fuging good Cam looked in those first couple years... The long term future to me just doesn't seem as bright now, but Rivera and Cam did really come together at the end of the period you highlight so maybe Rhule and Cam can figure something out over the next bit...
  7. Our playbook was limited before Darnold started to suck, tho. It's why the Cowboys pointed out for the world how they knew our routes... Which the eagles capitalized on. I thought that meant Darnold didn't know the offense well enough for variable calls but man it looks the same no matter who we have at QB in that regard. Teams just know our plays...
  8. Yup. Heine is playing well but part of that is feeding McLaurin
  9. It isn't unique to Turner. There's been a few situations where it feels like we were figured out in high pressure situations. I think we have the talent to turn that around tho.
  10. This defense has folded in high pressure situations multiple times this year. But there's 2 halves, plenty of time. Gilmore not on Mclaurin is so confusing tho
  11. Its like they heard that Cam Newton guy was back so pressure was off.
  12. I think those teams are also some of the ones that invest most in very very good OLs. I do hate holding as a call, because it can be called on nearly every play. It's why I think the rule needs to change. But WFT is moving the ball because they're just beating our D at the line of scrimmage...not uncalled holding. Imo anyway. And then they go and have a false start on 4th and inches haha
  13. Defense needs to step the fug up. This is fuging Washington
  14. I don't think that is the case. We do get holding calls, just not as many as we'd like. WFT has an incredibly good OL too. Last year we were pretty low: https://www.nflpenalties.com/penalty/offensive-holding?year=2020&view=team This year we are much higher but IMO that is a reflection on how bad our OL is and how long they had to hold blocks for Darnold: https://www.nflpenalties.com/penalty/offensive-holding?view=team&year=2021 Note Dallas is ahead of us and lots of us have said refs favor them. And we are middle of the pack as beneficiaries.
  15. Man cams vision is so elite, and he is so effortlessly fast
  16. Holding is a shitty penalty, but the idea that ref crews are deliberately fuging the Panthers over against every opponent is dumb. I'm not gonna argue bullshit calls in a superbowl lol but this isn't that.
  17. The idea the refs are deliberately out to get this team against the Washington Football Team is wacky. Every drive has holding that could be called. It just does. It's a stupidly defined penalty that is never enforced in a way fans like...
  18. It reminds me of how they treated Darnold but with someone completing most of those passes
  19. Lol why are we the only team that never seems to have particularly open receivers?
