  1. It's possible. Luke's the kinda guy that would never let us know that tho.
  2. I just have trouble using the word coddled given the beating he took while playing, haha Rhule definitely isn't treating Cam well now though. I don't mind him acknowledging mistakes but it's starting to feel like he's blaming the players when it's clearly the coaches.
  3. I kinda think Luke walks away regardless of the new coach, tbh. He and Rivera had a special bond, his health was at serious risk, he knew it'd be a couple years before the team was competitive for a championship (this is regardless of coach) etc etc. Even a good coach is probably not having the roster competing for a championship immediately... But ideally in the playoff hunt or playoffs this year. Ah well.
  4. Not anymore, no. Not about the refs specifically, just in general. Tbh, our team is poorly coached and undisciplined. We don't get calls in our favor because of it.
  5. The whole thing is a shitshow and I feel bad for all our QBs.
  6. Eh, it's not that simple. NYJ wanted to pick the coaches coordinators or have a very strong hand in it... NY Post reported that Bill Parcells told Rhule not to take a job where he didn't have final say in his OC and DC. Which makes sense. Rhule is bad but so are the Jets. The problem isn't a HC picking their coordinators it's Rhule not being the coach people hoped.
  7. Turns out Teddy was right. I still don't think he's a franchise guy but man he looks a lot better in light of this year's train wreck. Hope he recovers s oon
  8. Lol and didn't like 30 of those other 50 come on one run by Chubba or something? Just wild to throw cam or any QB playing in this situation under the bus. fuging awful. I'm done .
  9. lol this fuging dude. doesnt matter who is QB, they hold the ball too long, etc etc. maybe the fuging problem is the scheme, OL, receivers... I'm so done with this team.
  10. Ehh Rhule is in over his head but he's not disrespecting his team the way Meyer did... Rhule just isn't competent
  11. I didn't expect him to be very good but I thought he'd at least last a couple years. He was spectacularly bad.
  12. losing winnable games, coaching down his players, and cornering the market on cornerbacks.
  13. I'm not convinced that this assumption is correct. I think Tepper's statement about taking five years shouldn't be taken that he thinks a coach will get a blank check for 5 years. I think that the next few games are critical. Can Rhule find a way to get this team to put up a good fight and maybe steal a couple games in the hardest part of its schedule (lol no)? If so, then that could bolster him getting a 3rd season. It isn't just having a losing record, or starting 3-0 and falling so far. It is the way in which the team is losing that I think means it is unlikely he gets another year.
  14. Rhule is awful. This team's biggest problems on offense and defense have never been about our QB behind center.
  15. Jokes on you, I can't despair when I barely care! Which may be even worse, tbh.
  16. Hell, Chinn took a step back, Brown looks like a wasted top 10, Burns looks like he took a step back outside of his pass rush, and even DJ just doesn't seem to have developed any consistency. All that after last year we thought these players were all going to take a big leap forward... Across the O and D we have no idea how good our young players actually are...
  17. This is why this season feels worse to me than pretty much any of our past shitty seasons... that and it really feels like Rhule is ruining young talent, not just failing to really make good personnel decisions
  18. Yah, Teddy isn't gonna lead a team to victory against good opponents often and is more likely to lose than win a game when the pressure is on... We are all so desperate for consistency now mediocrity ends up attractive lol. Teddy isn't the answer to any franchise's long term starting QB situation, but like Darnold, we managed to make him worse... Good offenses lift players up... Ours clearly does the opposite. His value is in showing how our offense manages to make people look even worse than they are I suppose, heh.
  19. IMO it isn't just that we haven't installed a ton of plays yet. The simplicity of this system is one thing we had emphasized by the media (as a strength) thru camp etc. How QB friendly it was. The media just didn't realize how CB friendly it was, too. TB is no answer for us but he does show that the problems on offense make QBs look worse than they are.
  20. they have failed to come up big in critical moments all season, even before the wheels came off our offense... there's TONS of talent on that side of the ball, but coaching is just not there it seems...
  21. why is "Rhule is a moron" not a valid explanation for him benching his starter?
  22. if Rhule is around I completely expect something on D tho
