  1. Shitty thing to do to any player.
  2. Honestly I really like Demeco Ryan's... I wanted an offensive HC but there's something about him...
  3. I don't mind Romo but it feels like he lets his biases/former playing influence some of his color commentary in a way I don't really feel from Olsen. But Romo isn't bad.
  4. That would make defensive holding waaaaay too attractive on any 3rd and long.
  5. Without Lamb Prescott has like 15 passes for 60 yards or something ridiculous. He's playing out of his mind. As to CMC I think that last drive was basically Kittle+CMC.
  6. Olsen is the best announcer I've heard in a long time.
  7. Not at all a cowboys fan but I'm glad that kicker made that kick. Seeing a players career fall apart the last couple weeks is pretty shitty.
  8. there is no guarantee - especially without a good QB - that any of the coaching candidates can attain that record.
  9. The trainings absolutely make a difference. Doesn't mean they're perfect and absolutely some are better than others. But they absolutely do help from what I've seen first hand.
  10. Some things are bigger than football, and especially bigger than a head coaching search. In a way, it's a sad commentary on what I think of him that I'm surprised and impressed that Tepper has postponed everything for now.
  11. I'd rather have Wilks and our draft picks, and I don't want Wilks much, but there will be more opportunities for us than that anyway.
  12. Shouldn't be hard to correct but disappointing that the team ignored the requirement in the first place...
  13. How could Denver provide two first round picks lol
  14. Yeah no we better pass on that crap.
  15. There's a difference between intentionally going all in to win, and intentionally sabotaging a franchise. Some posters here are implying he's sto working with the saints to fug us - seems crazy to me, and LPs quite doesn't imply that IMO.
  16. I think there's plenty of fans that would be happier if we'd won a SB in 2016 and had the last few years than if we'd competed say for the division and went to the playoffs all but one year but never made it back to trh SB. I'm not sure where I'd fall tbh.
  17. You're making these comparisons in some weird bubble cutting off the most important achievement of a coach... I'm not saying the Steelers would fire Tomlin NOW. Tomlin isn't still coach now if he never wins a Superbowl is what I'm saying. It's totally different if you remove the Superbowl...
  18. My concern with Payton is minimal but it's that without Brees his offenses weren't anything special. In his years before and after Brees his offenses were typically in the low teens or twenties for points scored and yards.
  19. Tomlin is probably fired if he doesn't have a Superbowl win so I don't see the point in the comparison. I'd rather be good and have a Superbowl but the dumb hypothetical was about Payton getting a ring and "ruining" the team. Do you think Rams fans regret hiring McVay?
  20. I mean I don't think they're the same since Tomlin winning one immediately means they aren't the comparison folks here are making. They were saying ring + mediocre for 10 years vs good but no ring for 10 years. Obviously all of us would rather have consistently good with a SB win than just a SB win.
  21. Not excited about SP personally but whatever... He was a great coach, but my preference is just a younger OC right now.
  22. It means Wilks isn't 100% in, so Holcomb is exploring other opportunities
  23. Well... I've tried digging around for anything legitimate and I can't find it. The only sources I've found have pointed to a tweet by an NFL parody account with a faked quote from an ESPN article (the article is real but it does not contain ANYTHING like the quote). There's LOTS of sources that say that there was no audible, not just the coaches, but also Marshawn (and even years later, e.g. https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/marshawn-lynch-wonders-russell-wilson-audibled-infamous-super-bowl-int-174851487.html) If reliable sources exist, maybe Mr Scot can point them out. I'm skeptical there's anything reliable.
  24. edit: Nevermind. Deleted tweet from an account that made something up claiming a quote from the Seahawks it was an audible. Claimed it was from an ESPN article, which did not contain the line in question. No reason to link "parody" garbage. I can't find anything else other than a bleacher report story referencing it was an audible but with no source. Coaches took the blame and afaik nobody every said any different.
