  1. 2010 was a worse team, but we had the number one draft pick to look forward to, and so this is a significantly worse season overall for me.
  2. Very interesting article. Hard time believing that Tepper actually stays out of what he doesn't know, as implied there...
  3. I suppose it depends what you consider a game manager, but IMO, Dak is aggressive with the football, even at times he shouldn't be, which pays off in part because of the talent around him. He DOES change the game. He's very hot and cold tho... Like to Cam's point, his team is so stacked he could win games by just doing nothing. But that isn't what he does, and it's a big reason why they've scored 30+ in 6 of the last 7 including 4 games with 40+ points. I mean IMO one of the best ways to measure a difference maker / game changer is 4th quarter come backs, come from behind wins, etc., tho of course this also depends on the team. But still, Dak had 8 4th quarter come backs and 14 game winning drives in his first 3 years... Brock Purdy, by comparison, has only 1 4th quarter comeback so far (albeit in only 22 games). Lamar Jackson has 8 4th quarter come backs and 10 game winning drives... Fwiw, Cam - who I love, and am not knocking - has fewer game winning drives (20 vs 21) across his career and with basically 40 more starts only has 3 more 4th quarter comebacks. A lot of that is the teams and I would 100% take prime Cam over Dak in a heartbeat.
  4. He is wrong about Dak. Dak isn't always amazing but he's not a game manager... Others are harder. They each have their moments.
  5. I mean Teddy showed much more his rookie season, let alone after. At this point, BY getting to Teddy's level as a pro would be massive improvement
  6. Bryce Young is only here because he went to Alabama. All the talk pre draft of how we can't trust Stroud's play because of the team around him and low and behold Alabama wasn't being carried by BY after all...
  7. I don't put tons of stock in pff but I thought the line has looked better lately.
  8. The entire point of this thread is that it isn't one game in isolation, tho. CJ's had a couple bad games but dazzled and is probably saving Nico Collins' Texans career lol. And even if we DID want to talk about one game - We had 200 yards on the ground yesterday (>160 without Bryce). Miles f'ing Sanders had 74 yards on the ground! Our OL held up. We had wide open receivers.. I mean Bryce has been missing open guys for a while now, but it was real bad yesterday. We can poo talk our supporting cast all we want, and boy are they not very good, but I wager they'd look A LOT better with Andy Dalton this year. He of course could change his story, but it isn't happening midseason...
  9. Uh well yes actually like CJ Stroud. Ofc you pick a game he exits with a concussion... Dude has 3600 yards and 20 TDs already. Who was Nico Collins before CJ Stroud? I'm not asking for Young to be Stroud, tho that'd be nice given what we traded for him. I'd settle for Young being Andy Dalton...
  10. Lol the dude can't even hit wide open receivers anymore. I'm sorry, but regardless of how poor our talent is, it isn't just a failure of him to elevate people around him like other good QBs (even rookies) do, it's his inability to even play decently. He's just getting worse and worse... He needs to sit.
  11. Young is so bad I don't even think he would look really good with good weapons... Maybe after an offseason he'd be just OK, but it's hard to imagine him ever being worth what we gave up... My cynicism has reached a point where I'm feeling like the one bright spot is I feel he near guarantees us the first pick in the draft in 2025 because of how bad he is. Which I hate for him and the team, but...
  12. Yeah he's just uncomfortable now, and it's clear. I think his confidence is shot... He's missing layups of throws...
  13. Bryce does not look good out there and I don't think he's going to just learn as he goes...
  14. Bryce between like 62 and 57 from where top ends and bottom begins. About fits... Burns could be anywhere from a 79 to 56.9 so who knows lol.
  15. Can't watch but did he really just admit that Reich wanted Stroud and he didn't? fug...
  16. That isn't entirely true. Cam frequently drove us down the field and got us points and the D then gave up the lead. I said offense excelling too, not winning games - very hard to argue Cam was not the biggest reason for offensive succes in 2011.
  17. Cam frequently lost because our defense let him down in his first couple seasons. It is very hard to argue that is what is happening so far for Bryce.
  18. Bryce can be contributing to our offensive woes while also suffering because of them. He isn't making the most of every play, but he also isn't getting much help. Many of us expect a #1 pick to be the reason an offense excels, not need a lot of help. But it doesn't matter anymore where he was drafted... What matters is he needs help on O and he's getting very little.
  19. It really isn't just that Stroud looks so good... Bryce was supposed to elevate this team and instead he needs to be carried by them. Which obviously isn't possible.
  20. Hahaahahaha man you just captured me trying to read wtf is going on in this thread perfectly
  21. honestly, he hasn't shown enough to get much in trades. Incentive laden contract is the best bet.
