  1. He's been much better at Minnesota at avoiding that stuff, I think Oconnell settles him down somehow.
  2. Lost the challenge and the conversion, wow.
  3. They need to settle Darnold down with some play action IMO, he's just not on his game atm.
  4. I'd say Bryce has been pretty consistently good since the bye, tbh. The Cowboys game was bad, and he didn't always play *exceptional* football, but he was good enough for us to win every game by the DAL game IMO with an average defense. That is pretty good for a 2nd year player coming off the worst rookie year in history. But yeah, people rushing to crown him over all-time Panther greats... I just want to see him keep building. Today was exceptional, and I'm excited for next year.
  5. This Vikings D is so damn good...
  6. Probably, it looked like the back grabbed him as he broke towards the pylon, but I may be wrong. Didn't see a good replay of it
  7. Jefferson was held, that wasn't on Darnold. But if he missed Addison open in the end zone, it is
  8. Too focused on Jefferson? I didn't see who you're talking about but I'd not be surprised. I like Sam a lot but he loses the field sometimes.
  9. Helps when the refs miss a hold in the endzone, haha
  10. Goddamn Jefferson is so good, and Darnold standing in to take a hit!
  11. Darnold just not looking very good overall
  12. Then misses a wide open TE for a 25 yard gain...
  13. It is not shitting on Bryce to say he hasn't yet gotten to the point of being "as clutch" as Jake. Jake did it for multiple seasons. His first season as magical - something Bryce hasn't achieved yet. That isn't shitting on Bryce, get the fug out of here with that, lol
  14. The defense was abysmal for both QBs. There was a stretch (NO2, NYG, KC, TB1, PHI) where the D was playing better, but for both QBs there was a 4 game stretch of 30+ point 'performances' by the D. As to the D helping, they did a bit. But BY also had 3 TD drives >70 yards, and 2 that were 58 yards.
  15. NFL Network just said a minute ago it was because Vrabel was interviewing with the Jets and Kraft didn't want to lose an opportunity to grab him up.
  16. We don't have the personnel to execute his scheme - but instead of adjusting at all (e.g. moving Horn or Jackson to other teams #1s) he simply let them play and ugh. I think Evero may have been just going through the motions a bit too, but he also has the least talent on D available I've ever seen on a team. I think he's a good coordinator overall, but it's time to move on.
  17. Smitty wasn't Smitty when Jake took over, and while he benefited tremendously from a great defense, we haven't seen Bryce in any of the situations we saw Jake. All the hypotheticals in the world don't change the fact that Jake had 7 game winning drives in one season and took a team that had finished last in the NFC South to within a drive of winning the Super Bowl. I'm excited about Bryce and hopefully a better D will lead to the kind of results you think they will, but that just hasn't happened yet and I just don't get the need to stretch a good 10 games from Bryce to being one of the Panthers all-time greats.
  18. The thing is, we can make up all the what-ifs we want. Ultimately, Jake is one of the clutchest Panthers of all time. Bryce is NOT in that category yet - he just hasn't earned it. Since the benching, he's 4-6, so yeah. I do think Bryce is crazy clutch and I'm really excited to see how he develops next year. Never thought he could do what he's doing honestly.
  19. Tua is much more important to that team than I thought
  20. Nope, Denver is ahead of them
  21. That's exactly how I feel. I'm not sold on Bryce entirely, but I think he's shown he at least is good enough to start in this league. That could of course change next year, lol, but I hope not!
  22. I have zero problem with upgrading the backup QBs and pushing the QB room in camp to compete, but Alex Smith was a veteran and we all knew who he was by the time they drafted Mahomes. I don't think any of us can really be certain what Young is.
  23. He did. He also has gone *10 weeks straight* with a passing TD, 4 weeks straight with 2 TDs.
  24. Cam had a couple 5 TD games in 2015 (just all passing TDs, lol) Still an incredible game from Young. 21 total TDs on the season too, in 12 starts.
