  1. I'm not convinced we've seen the worst things Gruden said.
  2. This isn't true. The team lost and different plays from Darnold or Anderson or the special teams and we likely win. Different play calls or 2nd half adjustments and we likely win. Darnold deserves blame and Id even grant he deserves more than others for that game, but there were plenty of opportunities for a win despite him.
  3. Im gonna give him a pass for coach speak for now but it really came off as not taking any responsibility... Virtually the opposite of Rhule...
  4. Taking a day off of practice while recouping isn't necessarily a setback, especially a Thursday.
  5. Darnold has to be better at guessing which turnstyle will spin first...
  6. Emotional on the sideline is fine, but is Robby upset with his usage and that is causing him go drop passes and run lazy routes? That's a small concern I have. Darnold needs to play better, yes, but Robby has been dropping balls all year.
  7. Right. It sounded just like bigotry. This wasn't as if a team was blowing major draft value to appease Goodell... It didn't make a lot of sense...
  8. The actual presser, and in context, it did not sound like his message to the team and media has been "the defense is at fault," but that it was a team loss. I think you're keying in to something important though, he has higher expectations for the D. But we need the same investment and expectations for our O or we will squander the talent we have on D. Acknowledging the amount we've spent on D is not blaming them exclusively when it's part of a wider set of comments though. I really think some of this is being taken too much out of context.
  9. I agree... If he isn't playing next game, it almost has to be an indication there are significant problems with him we don't know about. It has taken Rhule time to replace some vets before but Miller is getting Darnold destroyed and dragging everything down with him. He has to see that...
  10. Rather than arguing on who Darnold should have thrown to (not the other team), why don't we ask if the problem is Robby's lack of position versatility? I mean, think how much more flexible we'd be if he could play guard. Maybe we should start a positionless offense. I mean, it can't be worse than our current offensive line, can it? Yes I've lost my mind. I've been reading too many threads on here lately.
  11. I bet he'd get a higher PFF grade at guard than Miller.
  12. In on every deal! One more CB/safety and maybe we stop that last eagles drive
  13. Darnold will have a ton more games for show what kind of QB he really is as a Panther. Ideally we have something resembling a professional OL in front of him for most of that time, but I'm skeptical.
  14. Those are offensive grades alright! I'll see myself out...
  15. Lol I love people earlier that think this press conference is going to lose Rhule the lockerroom.
  16. Teddy told us where a lot of our issues were last year in terms of focus in practice etc too. Still glad he's gone.
  17. Most of us expected days like this during his development. So, let's not panic toooo much and see how he responds moving forward. Oh yeah and let's try literally anyone else on the interior OL.
  18. Lol what. Darnold is going to have a ton more time to show what he really is as a player.
  19. Heh, I was just thinking this. The sad thing is we miss the decent posts that do come up mid week occasionally, which just makes it worse... I'm just kinda bummed and extra negativity in my life isn't necessary, so I'll probably be back next week for the next game. Winning cures all ills and all that, so we will see
  20. The defense and the offense both seem to poo the bed in the 2nd half. Difference is the capital we have spent on D.
  21. I don't get the coddled narrative... In the regular season he isn't being coddled at all.
  22. I agree with this. I think deep ball is a mix of rushing throws because he doesnt trust the O Line and not yet having the chemistry he needs to know where the guys will be.
  23. you're ignoring the 20 (lol) projected rushing TDs. which, I don't think he will get. I think he'll probably end up in the mid 30s total, with more passing TDs as the year goes on (esp now with CMC back). TD/INT ratio is honestly pretty deceiving... Last year tho Tannehill threw an INT on only 1.5% of his passes... which put him in the company of Rodgers, Mahomes, Watson... That said... Tannehill this year has thrown an INT on 2% of his throws. Sam has thrown one on 2.1%.
  24. If Darnold's rushing TDs are included I think he is right up around 5th or 6th in total TDs by a QB, too (also doing the same for other QBs, obviously).
  25. Thanks man! I really hope Saleh can turn it around for you guys, and that Wilson can get the help he needs to excel. The Panthers worked hard (and I'm sure still do) on consistency in Darnolds mechanics and it looks like it's paying off.
