  1. I'm beginning to think the problems with the offense is a lot more than just the QB. We ditched TB because he couldn't get it into the end zone, couldn't lead a game winning drive... He's doing that now in Denver, and he certainly has worse around him... I don't think he's the answer but maybe be wasn't wrong about some things here.
  2. Crazily enough Teddy certainly isn't a long term franchise-defining player but I bet weve got a couple more wins with him at least. He is playing much better in Denver.
  3. Man I fuging love Reddick. We need to bring him back! https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32578190/carolina-panthers-lb-haason-reddick-calls-new-england-patriots-mac-jones-dirty-play From the article: "Definitely thought it was a dirty play,'' Reddick said. "I actually saw and witnessed the play while it was happening. At first it felt like he was trying trip or kick Burns. And the next thing you know I saw him tugging on Burns' ankle. I thought it was completely dirty. Hopefully, it's something the league addresses.'' Much more from Reddick in the story. Those who don't want to give ESPN clicks, he also notes Burns will be fine. The refs say it'll go to the league for review. Rhule says it was clearly a penalty.
  4. Maybe if he had a good oline at the start of this year. I think he's done barring sitting behind someone on a new team and getting a chance to forget his first few years in the league.
  5. Teddy would probably have this team at 6-3.. The OL is still a huge problem, but he's much better at protecting the ball. He told us what the problem was last year and that's why he isn't here anymore.
  6. PJ hasn't had a start yet this season so I wouldn't be surprised if he got that chance... I wonder who is sitting at home on a couch or on a PS they could pilfer, lol.
  7. The crazy thing is I'm pretty sure whatever happened in practice was so very bad that they knew Darnold at his worst was better than PJ... I'd love to see them give Morgan and PJ more chances just because Darnold is done and everyone has lost confidence in him. Doesn't matter if PJ is worse or not, at least it would look like they're trying something...
  8. As hard as it is right now, a few of us said that the Darnold experiment was designed to give us a franchise QB one way or the other... Either with a very high draft pick or Darnold being rehabilitated. But I didn't expect the defense to be this good...
  9. Probably OL in the first depending on how these college QBs play the rest of the year, and how they do in workouts etc.
  10. Rhule, because Darnold is who he's always been, as are our OL acquisitions made of glass. Can't blame these guys for being who they've always been.
  11. All of it starts with the QB and moves to the OL and OC. Let's make some changes. Running the ball a poo ton isn't enough.
  12. I love this team but the way the offense is being handled is making it so hard to pay attention to them at all. It's just enthusiasm sucking. We could be celebrating how amazing this D is with even an average offense...
  13. I dunno man. Look at the two Jets backups... Sure that team still isn't good but man are they at least able to move the ball now... At least Wilson has shown signs and is a real rookie...
  14. You know, what angers me is if you want a reclamation project, I don't understand why you make these choices... You gotta put a good OL around the guy... you do everything you can to help them on the field, you get them experienced vets to listen to in the QB room... Just believing in a dude doesn't make him forget the last 3 years of being absolutely garbage.
  15. The crazy poo is he didn't need to bring in real competition, like a younger player like Minshew to be the backup. He coulda gone with an older vet that everyone knew isn't gonna be the franchise. That's NO pressure on Darnold.
  16. To me, Rhule needs to make a change because the players are looking for a chance to compete and Darnold isn't giving us that. We are 1-5 and about to play one of the best teams in the league. It's time to try something new.
  17. The offense has me so completely disheartened. You can tell the players have lost faith in Sam. There needs to be a change
  18. Ive actually wondered about this. So many times announcers remark the opposing team seems to always be in the right place. I'm wondering if teams have learned how to read our plays by personnel etc.
  19. Yeah... I think that when we tried to force him to call a run based offense his calls got much worse. That isn't his strength as a playcaller, nor do we have great personnel for it. But a bad QB and OL are hard to work with in a passing game for sure. Especially when our receivers also haven't been particularly reliable this year.
  20. I haven't seen the exact comparison between OLs, but there are QBs that make things happen behind bad OLs for sure. Darnold doesn't see the field and throws into windows after they close.
  21. Ah hah. I hadn't seen that. His calls just seem really uninspired compared to last year (which still were problematic at times, lol). Maybe he is being hamstrung by Darnold and the OL.
  22. They won't be, but the question is if they could have more success than Darnold. I think that is possible.
  23. Did he say he wouldn't go to LSU?
  24. Yeah... Same. Just not worth it anymore. He's indecisive because he knows he makes bad decisions. He's done. It doesn't matter who else plays at QB but Rhule is at risk of losing this offense I think.
  25. Those are sunk costs. Darnold is done, he's not getting rehabbed this season. PJ may be even worse, but Darnold starting shouldn't be an option.
