Not sure what you mean about going undefeated, this isn't his first loss. He's 4-5 as HC.
-
The coaches/team will feel they still have a shot at the division, and especially with TB playing Cincy, they are right. So we'll see how it goes...
-
Half time at home is the perfect time to step up. He had his chance to show he was more than just an effective motivator or wahtever and he didn't.
-
I give him a B overall because he got these guys playing respectable football again with focus, but he ultimately doesn't seem like he's the kind of coach that is going to take a decent team and make it great... So unsurprising that he can't take a bad team and make it consistently good.

Wilks is so much better than Rhule, he tricked quite a few people into thinking he was something more than an average coach I think. I really expected Darnold to be why we lost today - not our D just folding when it mattered most. Ick.
-
I wouldn't say all (I still think Moore is a #1, but not of the same caliber as 89 or other all time greats), but yeah, does seem that way...
-
When was the last time we saw one of our receivers "work" a CB?
-
McAdoo not going hurry up at the goal line fuged us, I think we get a TD there if we keep the game moving
-
yeah pocket was gone, no way Darnold makes it.
-
not when Darnold had to bail - the pressure was there. Marshall got open after Darnold had already tried to retreat away, but nobody held blocks or anything.
-
Absolutely nobody open...
-
Marshall actually shoulda caught that ball, wow edit: ofc getting hit kinda makes that harder but it still hit him in the hands lol
-
Wow, what has gotten into Darnold
-
Alright Darnold, the defense got you the ball back, time to make this a one score game
-
What was that idiot 3rd down play
-
Ridiculous
-
yeah definitely, the fact it is this close with how bad it has felt we've played is a testament to the fact a good coach could turn this around imo
-
so are some of the fans in this thread, heh.
-
If Wilks is the man for the job, this is exactly the kind of game to show it. What had been working isn't, time to adjust.
-
I don't understand that playcall on 3rd down Edit: may be Darnold not throwing it fast enough actually - at first looked like slow developing routes but I think that may not be the case
-
He struggles to read the field imo.
-
he can only do so much. tho I was expecting Darnold to be our let down here...
-
agree for sure - but let's also let this game finish - isn't looking good, but plenty of game time left.
