  1. I think he expected AT to keep running to to the pylon. This happened with them once in an earlier game.
  2. It was pretty good placement overall. A little too far out, but I think Moore got his hands under it
  3. Oh damn. I wSs wrong, thought that was holding Another nice run by Bryce
  4. The BIG talks about this periodically. It'd probably just be for football, if it happened, but I think it's a bad idea.
  5. That league would still only get 1-3 playoff spots a year because of the other guaranteed slots. It makes more sense now to go the opposite - Clemson and FSU have a much easier path to the playoffs in the ACC than they would there.
  6. That's excellent news... Coker and Sanders should be the features of our offense this week
  7. Maybe all these sec teams being left out should go join other conferences if their current conference is too difficult for them to win /place at the top of
  8. Honestly we really needed a shifty back to help with YAC. Chuba is good as an RB but he just isn't really good out of the back field. I agree with most of what you've said re: receivers, but I do think it's scheme heavily. As to YAC numbers, I was looking at it per reception (so yeah, average )... Because Coker hasn't had enough receptions yet I had to turn off filtering which meant it ranked him across everyone catching a ball all year. Those stats are *dominated* by RBs, and Coker is around 100 overall across all RBs, TEs, and WRs at 7 YAC/r... Which is pretty good for a wideout, because it includes rarely used players, etc. Sanders is ~6 YAC/r which is again pretty good for a TE. If all our receivers had their YAC production, we'd have a ton more passing yards. I think Canales schemes players open, but not so much so wide open they can make a lot of YAC related plays.
  9. Hahahahahahaha dude could have stayed put with us and been force fed 10 balls a game on his way to an easy 1k yards and a big FA contract... and instead he walked himself off a contending team.
  10. Ugh, XL being out sucks. Need these guys getting as many reps as possible.
  11. So yes we could definitely do better in our receiving group. And yes, the Panthers are among the last in the league in YAC, but both Coker and Sanders have a lot of YAC. Sanders and Coker are both pretty high up on YAC for their respective positions. So why are we so low? 1) They aren't Bryce's favorite targets - that is XL and Thielen. To say their YAC is low is an understatement, lol. 2) They've both been a bit injured. 3) Our offense is not really designed around the 'easy' YAC Plays, in part because, IMO, Bryce just can't throw some of those balls, and because we can't seem to get the screen game right. As to every other team... I mean in terms of league rankings, the Eagles, 49ers, and Vikings are all in the same area of YAC as the Panthers. And compared to the 49ers and Vikings, we also have ~500+ less air yards than they do. I don't think all of our problems are BY based, but I think if you get him some YAC master, that player will be far less productive with YAC here than they were wherever they came from.
  12. Stroud's OL was pretty bad last year, too, though, and yet he had an incredible rookie year. It's definitely worse this year. Our OL was incredibly bad last year, but BY was, too. And I think this board sometimes downplays how much bad QB play can contribute to sacks (though yes, OL play matters MUCH more). For instance, BY averaged 3 sacks per game in his first 2 this year. In the next 5 games (or whatever it was), Dalton averaged only 1.6. Since returning - were we all agree BY is playing much better, though maybe we disagree how much - he is at 2/game. So did we "ruin" Bryce? Or was he just... bad? I Dunno.
