  1. I've posted the link above already. And I linked that tweet you posted a while ago explaining it was missing the context of the earlier questions.
  2. If you want to hear his response to judge if you think he's bullshitting, see ~7:47 for a question from (Joe Person? not sure) on what Wilks meant by the organization tanking: https://www.facebook.com/CarolinaPanthers/videos/808612346900965 ( don't know how to link facebook vides to time stamps)
  3. You should really listen to the full interview, because he opens the presser by talking about everything around the organization that was outside of player's control, what people were saying, etc etc.
  4. I don't think it was (Wilks) backpedaling, honestly. He started at the very beginning talking about how there's "Its" you can't control and you just need to go out and execute, do your job, etc
  5. Ok, https://www.facebook.com/CarolinaPanthers/videos/808612346900965 Check out the full Q&A, its right at the start. I took the response and subsequent questions as about noise around the team, not his view of what the org was actually doing, but others may see it differently.
  6. he said the words, but he was talking about the noise around the team. The video I found doesn't have the quote, but in context it sounded like a comment on the "noise" around the team
  7. edit: Bah, this doesn't have his further comments, and the question is missing The question was about "all the noise" around the team, the media, and all the comments around the team
  8. We don't know the details of the CMC trade, but it is clear we had quality RBs behind him and I believe CMC wanted a chance to compete for a SB. I don't think that the trade was an attempt to tank; I think a lot was on the table there, and keeping Burns was as much about the future as the present, while CMC was seen as more replaceable at his position (which, frankly, he was - and I love the guy).
  9. I do not believe that tweet is accurate, I think he was referring to perceptions around the team.
  10. There's no way he comes back as DC. If he loses a couple more games and we miss the playoffs, I do think Tepper should and will move on. If we barely lose the division in the end because of 1 game, it'll be a harder decision, especially given some early circumstances (like the bullshit penalty vs Moore etc etc).
  11. Dunno about Bozeman - although Rivera was very loyal to his guys, it was mostly to the detriment of rookies versus good veterans. But you are right on CMC and one of apparent benefits of Wilks over Rivera. However, I'm a little afraid to crown Wilks that way yet since we've had very little time overall with him...
  12. out of pie but this is definitely my opinion. I don't know what Wilks would do with a competent OC and QB, but the reality is that competent OCs get picked up for HCs. However, I will say that if Wilks keeps winning and gets us into the playoffs I think you have to bring him back.
  13. I mean we just beat a team that was in playoff position, and Dallas was just pushed to the brink by the Texans. I'd say it isn't a foregone conclusion we're going to get trounced in the playoffs, especially if we pull off a huge winning streak (which we will need) to get there.
  14. I'd say Woods was probably missed based on some of the coverage lapses.
  15. Not yet, but he's incredibly good and very young. He very well may be the best in the league before long is his improvements continue. Hell, every CB has lapses in judgment or gets beat once in a while...
  16. Absolutely dominating day by the OL and really great team effort all around. Horn recovering the onside kick to seal it was a fitting end
  17. Big props to the defense for this win without Woods. He's a huge piece and they largely made up for it
  18. yeah and PJ Walker has a better record as a starter. We both know that record is largely meaningless
  19. When he's been forced to throw past the line of scrimmage, he hasn't had much success. He just hasn't needed to the last couple games. He's been good at managing the game and not hurting the run game or defense.
  20. Terrible lack of discipline on the part of the D
  21. He's managed this game very well, he's made smart decisions at points he'd make stupid ones before, and he had a couple of good throws. He looks much improved on the end of last season. I don't entirely blame him for how bad the passing offense looks, because receivers just are rarely schemed open, but I'd not say he looked very good personally.
  22. Oh definitely at this point in the game. More generally though, Darnold isn't it, but he's looking like a solid game manager - which wouldn't be bad in a backup. Plus he earned himself the rest of the season I think.
