  1. Chuba is a great back, but I think DWill, JStew, and CMC were all better at points and at least the first two on rosters that were better... And the original D Moore is a better receiver than anyone we have now and was with CMC.. 2004 Panthers had a 1400 yard receiver and a 750 yard rookie receiver and had Proehl still producing. Chuba is better than Goings, sure, and Sanders is promising but he's injured. Then we could talk about 2015 which was simply a better team on offense... Or the 2020 offense...
  2. He's been promising but this game has been a head scratcher. He's been gutsy before...
  3. Uhhh since 2003? Is that a joke? The OL is quite good but our skill positions are sorely lacking today. MAYBE some day XL, Coker and JT rise to that level but two of them aren't on the field today and the other just isn't there yet. Olsen on his own is leagues better than any player on offense active today, nevermind Smitty and Moose and Double Trouble and CMC...
  4. It's ridiculous there's no camera pointed at the other angle of the play - it doesn't make any sense that would be true. How is that even possible? fuging ref too, I think he just thought Thielen didn't get the knee down...
  5. Canales doesn't seem serious about winning with the FG calls on 4th and short. Bryce has looked pretty good. I can't wait for Coker to get back.
  6. I mean he just threw a TD... Bullshit call... But I agree with your general sentiment, we need to see that kinda thing more often so we actually avoid some of this crap with refs, drops, etc..
  7. I don't even get it, he had control in bounds... A knee was down lol
  8. If you've got an athletic QB they need to punish defenses in those situations... I'd never advocate dedicated runs for him though hahaha
  9. When Bryce is decisive good things happen! Not a bad first half from him so far, and still plenty of time to go...
  10. The one issue I have with Canales is how he uses the run. But, maybe this is his way of giving Bryce a chance to show he has what it takes
  11. I don't exactly wish ill on former players. But tbh, given the way he threw teammates under the bus... There is something sweet about his struggles.
  12. Division games are weird and imo unpredictable. I don't really expect us to win but Bryce should still be able to have a decent game given their D. If he falls back to his version of earth, though, he'll probably lose me, because the highs haven't been that high. Canales though has shown me enough to be excited for year 2 basically regardless (assuming wheels not falling off etc)
  13. Juan's thread when an actual star comes back: "Panthers depth improved with activation of this defensive lineman" Derrick Brown returns to the field...
  14. He's got some ugly balls and he's got some crazy good ones. Several of his KC throws were intense and he's had a decent number of difficult throws he's made the last few weeks. I think a lot of people see "rainbows" and believe it's poorly thrown. That's not necessarily true.
  15. PFF has it's problems for sure, but their grades aren't really spontaneously made up for Bryce lol Going into next season with Bryce alone based on these games would be idiotic, but so too is judging him based on his career to date and not seeing what the rest of the season holds. His last few games have been decent to good... So we shall see. We need a competition in camp no matter what.
  16. In some ways, He Hate Me was a bit of a Panthers legend haha. I think my issue is using the legend term, not the players they're highlighting.
  17. Will he keep this up? Who knows. He's had a few decent and one good game. If he keeps trending in this direction I think we go with a veteran and late round development QB if one falls we really like. If he reverts back to early season play, I wouldn't mind earlier investment in a QB because he has had a lot of time to show consistency.
  18. Crazy when Bryce Young has a deeper depth of pass than a dude with Waddle and Hill...
  19. Those are all good guesses. I wonder if they include incomplete passes, where it isn't on the QB. I wish they'd publish what the big time passes were. It's helpful to learn their methods. Thanks for checking for us
  20. They don't care. There's a difference between intentionally trying to lose for draft position (tanking) and being so awful your entire team stops trying to win.
  21. McCarthy is thinking playoffs somehow I think, lol
  22. For sure. I think Burns on an already very good defense would be a really exciting player. But he's just not consistent enough, especially in the run game. A good enough D could make up for that a little... In an average or bad D he's just a liability on a lot of plays.
