  1. of course I turn the game off and I see Howell makes a crazy throw. Lol
  2. This Dallas game is atrocious. I'm going to find something else to watch.
  3. How the hell is Russell Wilson THIS BAD, ugh
  4. his potential is sky high, but his draft would make the HC choice even more important.
  5. I do think the top 3 QBs will be gone by 9.
  6. According to various coaching candidates and media sources, we are an attractive destination. Part of that is indeed how bad our division is, but that isn't changing next season. I know you aren't seeing this is a good roster, and we just disagree there. It isn't perfect and yes it needs depth, but we have many key positions locked down. This team under Wilks is 6-6, with poo for QB, and significant injuries to our top two CBs. I mean fug Wilks went 4-2 with Darnold, and he did beat the red-hot Lions. We easily could have beaten TB but he's not a very good coach. Our roster is lacking depth at some positions, but a good coach knows they can fix that.
  7. We're a very, very attractive coaching destination because we are just a QB and a good coach away from being a competitive team and I think that'll make an offensive coach interested. We do have other needs, but we aren't in terrible shape, and we still have quite a few draft picks. Having Moore still could allow us to move quite a bit up the draft board, since CHI is in need of a WR...
  8. That's a better question than to just say pointless to talk about draft yet! I think HC is 100% more important than wherever we are drafting and likely more important than whomever we draft. I think it is likely a HC will want a new QB. That probably means the draft. But maybe not, maybe it's signing Gardner Minshew (ugh). We'll have a shot at a good player at 9 no matter what, especially with what appears to be a feeding frenzy for limited QBs. Other positions we could use help at (not necessarily first round value) - DE/edge, TE, LB, DT, CB, WR... Actually I would rather we find a new safety and a put Chinn in a different role...
  9. Moore is absolutely held back by QBs (in addition to scheme). He's so used to being underthrown he slowed up when he was wide open on the first pass of the game, or catches that ball in stride for a TD.
  10. so uh do we just not talk about the draft until we hire a new coach or?
  11. So remaining, PHI to win, WAS to WIN, LAC to win, GB to win. Actually that seems very possible
  12. Moore was open quite a bit, but he also isn't being schemed open, and Darnold can't hit him deep (Fields has a much better arm than Darnold and I think he could).
  13. if they pick the right trade partner it's likely multiple top 10 picks (this year/in the future) as it is exceedingly rare a first round QB wins many games. This could redefine that team, and if Fields flames out next year, they'll be in position to do their own trade up for a different QB.
  14. If the answer wasn't obvious already, today sealed it, lol
  15. the only reason the deal makes sense is if you believe DJ Moore is being held back by our QBs - which I do and I bet Chicago would, too. DJ plus OL upgrades instantly makes that an extremely dangerous offense.
  16. It's possible, but maybe not - he still wouldn't have had Darnold until he did, and he was 2-4 before Darnold.
  17. definitely, but I picked it because I think it is our single biggest offensive need other than QB.
  18. yes, though I think this was an exceptionally 'good' year for a bad team to make the playoffs.
  19. I think we'll see during the evaluations if a non-QB rises very high. I don't think there is that player. I think they trade out of the #1 pick, remain in the top 10, and get another 2 first round future draft picks (or equivalent value) and/or a good WR too. Someone else (Krovvy I believe) had suggested Moore plus a couple firsts to move up to #1. It could work. Woulda been more likely if Moore had balled out with Sam today. Woulda really increased his value to have another 1k yard season, but I think it is very easy to argue he's handicapped by terrible QB play.
  20. This team (if healthy, which, yeah) with a good QB and a good HC is a playoff team. Trot Sam out next year with a... what, first round TE? lol ... and we're .500. Or worse
  21. I like them both but I share your reservations. I think the best years to move up are when there's a sure fire "generational" talent plus a couple of other quite-possibly-great guys. I don't think Stroud or Young have wowed people into the generational category, and the QBs behind those two seem like they're only being mocked near the top because so many teams are desperate for a QB.
  22. I dunno man, by 4 at least the top two QBs are gone, and maybe 3 depending on other moves. This year is hard to move up period, because after Young and Stroud there is a massive drop-off it feels like.
