  1. The quote is a few posts above yours. Yes it is ridiculous. The offense had many great pieces. The D wasn't deep but had contributors. Cam knew what he was saying. The players weren't losers; their fuging coach gave up and played the worst QB the NFL had seen (until Bryce's rookie year, lol).
  2. Every team has stories but as curious as I am I kinda hope these stay buried. Cam should apologize and straighten up his references to his old teammates. If he's pissed at the org, be pissed at the org.
  3. Hit it on the nail right here. Cam was, by all accounts, a great teammate and it feels like his recent takes seem more designed to get clicks than anything... But the worst part is, his takes are exactly the attitude his haters said he had, but that imo wasn't reflected at the time.
  4. Cam's been very self serving in his comments lately. The roster he came into has more talent than many of today's bottom feeders - including us. Pickles was kind enough to deliver us the #1 pick because virtually any other QB would have kept us out of that slot. The defense was very weak his first year but he came into a pretty good offensive situation tbh. It just got worse the longer he was here unfortunately.
  5. Our OL was one of the better overall lines in football last year ... We do need depth, and our DL is legit garbage but the OL was the best unit in the team by far. Ultimately we still need weapons, tho I'm not big on giving up #8 to get someone that's likely only here for a year or two.
  6. This is probably the best news possible for our offense this offseason. Early in the year he'll provide an important degree of continuity and we know he's helped Coker and others. This is huge for the receiving corps. Yes, we need other weapons regardless but veteran presence is so important and he brings it in spades.
  7. Disappointing and I think most of us fans would gladly trade that mvp for a Superbowl win. But 1) Cam doesn't always express himself well and sometimes that makes him come off poorly when his intentions are different (I don't think that's this but ... ), 2) He's a pundit now and I have a suspicion that Cam 10 years ago would have said something different. Finally, whatever he says now that may sound selfish, doesn't change how much he did for the team, so... Meh.
  8. Young is starting next year because he played well the second half of the year overall and he's under contract.... We don't have the capto get a FA upgrade, and we won't be in position to draft one (in large part due to his play tbh). So he's it, and it's because of his play - if he stunk it up when Dalton went down, we would be looking for a new starter this offseason any way we could get one... Now, the trade we made has put us in a position we can't really invest in a replacement anyway but thankfully for us his play end of last season means we don't need to.
  9. I also don't really get the feeling that's what he and Swift would want, either, and you're absolutely right he wouldn't want to take away from his teammates.
  10. I think Philly had 2 more wins than Washington.
  11. How did this Eagles offense not hang 70 on us? Goddamn
  12. I don't mind it past the LoS, to be honest - we were beneficiaries of that a couple times this year, lol. But the tush push in particular just kinda sucks to watch haha
  13. They should just prevent players on O from pushing each other behind the LoS or something
  14. Yeah, I'd never heard that rule read aloud before... I think Luvus plays were also different from the hard count on the last one... So shouldn't have been grouped together...
  15. I think the point is a defense could keep encroaching on the goal line to just indefinitely prevent a score. But this was, imo, different. There's just no way to stop that play at the 1 unless the O makes a mistake
  16. Feels like if the Eagles get a TD here the game is over...
  17. yup - how many of our 2nd / 3rd round picks are even starters since 2021? BC and Tremble are at least getting playing time and are solid depth, but beyond them, we've got... DJ Johnson...? Other teams routinely find quality starters - or better - in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. We're just happy if they're still on the team 3 years later, lol
  18. I don't think he was considered by many in the same class as Luck and Lawrence... But I could be wrong.
  19. There was also a slew of "Williams is not a generational talent" stories too, and a lot of it apparently had to do with his floor.
  20. I was a little surprised to see that comment above so did some googling... Apparently some analysts did label Williams as generational but the agreement was not there like it was for Luck and Lawrence.
  21. We knew this would happen - that you'd end up with conferences focusing on not weakening their best teams records. Any given Sunday (Saturday) is an even bigger thing in college football. Just look at OSUs losses this year...
  22. No clue... Maybe they figure they won't get 2 two point conversions?
