I think any other target but Tremble makes that catch for a TD. Tremble just hasn't taken the next step as a receiver yet like we hoped
-
If he actually catches it he has room to land in bounds.
-
The injury came on a good pass with JT fighting for extra yards. There was a "lob" earlier but it was a ball thrown to a specific place so meh.
-
That was a Good throw Tremble missed.
-
Get the fug out with that, Bryce had nothing to do with JT fighting for extra yards. Disrespectful and disgusting.
-
fug, JT I hope it's nothing serious, but it did not look good... At least he was able to move right after...
-
Yup. Some really poor play when it mattered most on that drive...
-
Ooof. Defense just can't stop anything. Of course, Jackson being just pushed off lol
-
Still not so great in the red zone.

One of Bryce's best quarters I've seen, despite not leading a TD drive. He's seeing the field and being decisive, and without a major run game. Wow.

If you wanted Danny Dimes here’s the chance

Given how he's played, is it really tanking to go with anyone else? Lol They know the result if they start him... -
Real Mid-Season Development at QB: Bo Nix
mav1234 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nix has definitely been improving, no doubt about that. I think you can see it when you watch him play. He's also older than Bryce by a year, and I think that has helped him to some extent adapt quicker. Bryce's last three games have been better but are still pretty bad, lol. He's had a bunch of nice throws at least but at some point we need to see more consistency in that across an entire game, vs one or two drives. Real big test against KC this week... I think we all know how it's going to go, lol -
He had another 600 yards receiving and showed dynamic playmaking ability... Over 1k from scrimmage as a rookie is pretty good. The concern was he was a RB that couldn't run between the tackles so he couldn't be an every down back. To the point of limited production on the ground specifically, definitely.
-
I mean, Young is the smart choice for the team, because Dalton isn't the future and the last couple games made some people wonder. Seeing Bryce play KC should silence those whispers lol. Plus it's really hard to bench a QB off two wins lol. So Tepper may not even have needed to get involved...
-
Right, there's tons of examples of teams tanking in the last week or two by weird player choices etc. though in yours I think that was just Ron being Ron... But a team isn't doing that with this many games to go.
-
I think you may be giving some of these couches too much credit - some of them are incredibly, ridiculously stubborn and will continue to do things that aren't working because it's how they think they need to, heh. Daboll wasn't rolling over, he's just got a bad team and he isn't very good, either.
-
Was it or was it not an intentional fumble?
-
So you're saying playing a former high draft pick that has had at best mixed success with far more disappointing outings than good ones is tanking, to be clear? Starting which of these QBs is tanking: the one with a QB rating of 66.9 this season or the one with 79.4?
-
Lol so you think that Daniel Jones trotted out on the field to lose deliberately so the Giants could draft his replacement???
-
The thing is you can't just trade away every player that is decent. At some point you need a competitive roster even if you're willing to deliberately weaken the team around midseason to try to get a higher pick. That doesn't work if you've got nobody on the roster on the first place. We do need a QB room reset - unless Bryce proves he can be a decent backup the rest of the season. While a high draft pick helps there, we of all teams should realize it's no guarantee. As to deliberately tanking at this point in a season - that's very, very hard. It's much easier with 1-3 games to go, where you bench starters to avoid injuries etc.
-
I mean his QB rating was 86.4 and his QBR was 58.4, both of which are among his best so far. They're also above average (QBR of ~60 is top 10 in the league across a season). As to his 71.4, a 70 is considered "above average." 80 is "good" and 90 is "elite", 60 being "average." So, do you think that on a game-by-game basis most good teams have 5 elite players? Maybe, but I'd bet that more often than not they've just got one or two and a bunch of 80s. Hubbard, for instance, is the 5th best RB in their run grading at 86.4. But his overall offensive grade is 76.4

Giants have one of the worst rushing D's in the league. Wonder why...
