  1. Bryce in truly rare country. Best of all we likely replace him with Geno next year!
  2. I'll just take myself a Joe Burrow and a couple of rookie QBs, please I agree with you though, we basically can upgrade QB with FAR more options than we could realistically downgrade QB, lol. I'm in favor of drafting one *but not reaching* and bringing in a vet and another developmental guy.
  3. So 5+ years after Cams best football was behind him, now you think we don't deserve a franchise QB? I dunno man, plenty of us malcontents here loved Cam and were huge supporters of his. It's not like we fans drove him off in his prime, either - he was never the same after the shoulder injury and Tepper Teppered that situation all up.
  4. Thanksgiving was a parade of excellent QBs. Even when they were making mistakes you could still see the talent.
  5. I think a player like Jake at least allows you to build a team around him without it feeling like you are ignoring the best position on the field entirely. And he had a couple of years in the top third of the league IMO and many others where you knew he was a threat and no stage was too big. We just desperately need new blood in the QB room.
  6. I want a Cam at QB but I'd settle for someone that isn't statistically in the bottom third of everything. Edit: alright id not really settle until we had an elite player at that position haha
  7. Just a tremendously sloppy game from them. The talent is clear but man...
  8. Trying to tuck the ball is the only one of his turnovers I fully fault him for
  9. Lol we made the right choice? Are these people trolling?
  10. Some crazy sunk cost fallacy poo at work if we keep him.
  11. Spot on. Then, after complaining that Canales didn't support Bryce enough with the run game, Twitter fans will instead complain that Canales didn't trust Bryce enough for us to win the game.
  12. And don't ever put all your eggs in one basket
  13. Was just thinking this... Weird to see the Chiefs on the other end but it is the Cowboys.
  14. 100%. Gotta take shots sometimes, but be ready to move on when you have a historically bad player in his third season. And maybe not trade the farm for the next QB. And maybe bring in some real vet competition. ...ahh well.
  15. Drafting QBs is a bit of a crapshoot - honestly it's why I don't necessarily think we need to tank as hard as possible every year until we get a QB.
  16. Ehhh. I am really skeptical. The only investment specific to him is his contract which isn't a big deal If true, though... This will immediately switch my opinion of Canales and Morgan both. And probably cause me to check out next year.
  17. Sorry, I think perhaps what I meant isn't clear. TMac is our best player on offense we've had since CMC left. I don't think he's in the same tier right now (though perhaps some day)
  18. Oh man he's no CMC, I said since CMC for a reason haha. But I don't think he's come down to earth - he had the best game of his career not long ago. He just still makes some mistakes but it's things I believe he'll clean up.
  19. But in all seriousness we have to win the division. To do that, Bryce needs to play in Atlanta every week. I'm hoping that somehow we find a way to win with him... It just seems unlikely.
  20. Doesn't even make sense, lol. Half the complaints are that Canales isn't running it enough. Fair enough, but he put the game in Bryce's hands and he couldn't deliver... Despite there being opportunities to do so.
  21. That's totally fair. I think it's impossible to talk about the mess that is the offense without looking at its QB. But you are right that there's mental errors. I think that when our margin is as thin as it is, those errors are more obvious than otherwise.... For instance even in the Rams blowout win, there were receivers clearly running the wrong routes given Stafford's expression after some of his misses. I DO think that Canales should consider giving up play calling to focus on game planning and preparation. I think we often have solid designs etc, execution just falls flat.
  22. The Rusty Rifle was never a plan B, he was a friend on the sidelines for Bryce. I also think somehow this organization was completely fooled by the end of last year and the PFF metrics etc. which is an indictment in its own right. Either way it's time to move on...
