  1. Good for Wilson to get some confidence vs 2s. Tbh I think that is a good strategy on the part of the coaches for a young QB, especially on a team predicted to struggle in many aspects.
  2. I feel like as Panthers fans many of us have lobbied for long shots at QB... I still wonder what would have been with Matt Moore if the dude hdnt gotten a concussion -and then played with it - in 2010. Lol
  3. Jury is out, but promising compared to past OCs. Some great stuff between the 20s. Felt like he was limited by what we bad at QB, but he also struggled at times with situational playcalling. Or Teddy sucked ass at execution. Or both.
  4. DL in total feels a bit low. Chinn must be ranked as a LB and not a Safety here or he'd bring Safety up more I think and LB lower. Everything else feels fair/right. Receiver is very generous... But maybe it is right with our offseason additions.
  5. If the above happens against the Ravens 1s I will be ecstatic.
  6. I don't normally complain about refs but that game certainly advanced some conspiracy theories heh. But then again, Cam always got treated kinda crappy . Reminds me a bit of how centers in the NBA can be treated.
  7. I am a little curious and concerned how long Cam downplayed injuries he had, too, because we had "built" a team that required him to even have a chance. How long could his time as a Panther have been lengthened if he sits more games, especially earlier in 2018? I suppose we will never know if more permanent damage was done. I love Cam and the very nature of his competitiveness meant we needed coaches that could more objectively assess his health. Felt like it didn't happen. It wasn't 'just' a failure to bring in competent offensive coaches or skill positions or a line...
  8. I'm trying to temper my expectations since it is just preseason, but it does look far more promising than past regimes. Crazy to think we might get better production out of the 7th we got for Little than we ever did from him...
  9. I love your enthusiasm hahaha. Guess we will see.
  10. I'm not the one that has PJ competing with Will Grier for the #2 lol.
  11. Lol what if pj magically becomes a god and turns opposing players to sheep would you still root for Darnold?! ^ only a bit less likely than PJ going on a 6 game win streak with a 2-6 team. Not trying to trash PJ here but there is nobody that has watched our QBs that thinks PJ is even all that close to Sam. Take a look at a couple of Foles' first seasons in Philly. I wish PJ the best but these comparisons are mad. Let's let him get to competent backup level before we decide he's going to be the next Brady, Warner, or Foles...
  12. when you getting a covid vaccine means you're saddled with another person for 18 years that may or may not be a reminder of the rape and/or incest you had to experience, lemme know. what a false fuging equivalency.
  13. I feel for you, dude. I'm so sorry that your family is being hit with this, and that someone on a message board would even think to bring up teens (I normally enjoy talking with you Sizzle, but...). I doubt this will reach anyone that cares, but Zod is 100% right on this. I live in a Canadian province now with 20% more of the adult pop vaccinated than in NC, approximately. I was in NC until June... But man, is it so different here. We are completely open here. Yes, covid cases are up here, but hospitalizations and ICU beds are remaining stable and not a major concern right now. We have HUGE events still (albeit with some minor limitations). Some masking still, like in public transit. We have fewer than 50 COVID-related ICU cases... Most people I know without kids go out like nothing is happening. People are getting COVID here, yes, but not filling the ICUs because vaccines are working. They're limiting severe cases and frankly limiting spread compared to less vaccinated places.
  14. Is this a comment about the military killing infants or a real bad take on fetuses?
  15. I actually kinda like WFT. Not a fan of most of the others tbh. Not that it makes a difference for me haha
  16. I think PJs stats are deceptive and he could still be a good backup IF he can learn to protect the ball a bit better. I like his energy and willingness to push the ball down the field... It was a stark contrast to Teddy. Not sold on Darnold as long term solution at QB1, but I'm hopeful. He has the physical tools. Only question if he has it between his ears to play smart. No qb controversy in Carolina anyway. Just a couple of Huddle threads. When there's real controversy... It's much worse hahaah.
  17. Any news on why Burns is in that wrap??? Darnold sounds like another mixed day, but not surprising if his top 2 were out for some / all of it. Good news he might get some game time reps.
  18. I get management's talk has been about treating him like a rookie but you are right. He's got one to two years to prove he's a franchise QB. Probably one to show consistent improvement and a second to take a big step up to being a quality starter.
  19. He took them in New York, so it seems likely he will here.
  20. My problem with Teddy wasn't the scheme, nor that he took what the defense gave him... it was he actively avoided the shots that were there down field or was physically unable to make others... If Darnold can make a couple more of those deep throws per game it'll open up so much more of the short and intermediate stuff too.
  21. He did, but they kept him in way way way too long. I can't help but wonder how things could have been different if Rivera and co were better at reading and managing Cam's real physical condition. Cam was such a competitor he would go no matter what...
  22. Lol he did, but I don't consider that an *injury* if you're talking about concerns of someone playing a preseason game and risking his health.
  23. Oof. I went and looked and Cam actually did have a lower intended air yards per attempt than Teddy last year. But the receivers Cam had around him... Hopefully this year is different.
  24. We all knew Cam was injured in 2018, and had been banged up before that. Frankly Cam should have missed more games than he did, and how many of us blame the coaches for letting him play injured? Cam didn't need preseason reps and it seemed a risk not worth the benefit, was my point As to Darnold, he's had an ankle and seemingly a minor shoulder issue. The relative risk in preseason is minor compared to getting him reps. There's a difference between a season ending injury and a couple missed games imo.
  25. Right. Different league, no? Mother Grabber mentioned the XFL specifically. Warner is a great story. PJ could become an amazing backup. We don't have a QB controversy, just a big unknown at long term solutions to QB.
