Even if neither they nor Miami does, I imagine there's always the risk of someone trading with one (or hell, both) of them to move up and take QBs. Personally hoping we trade up to 3 for Fields.

Well,there are certainly some posters that are demonstrating a startling lack of decency (not an accusation against you. More in reference to the crazy poo in the last thread). I haven't followed Icege's posts closely but I don't think I would personally call Watson a predator just yet. Still a lot to learn. Watson seems likely to have done some inappropriate things, and so I don't want him until at least we know much more about the facts. There are 2 cases filed that are MUCH more concerning than the others... but the very fact the lawyer is lying about police contact and making really weird and false statements about his knowledge of the McNairs makes me want to hold judgment on any one case.

Eesh. The nice thing is we aren't forced in this circumstance to choose between two people accused of rape. I hope somehow Watson comes out of this clear but it seems unlikely he will. I don't want him as QB if what he's accused of is true.

Maybe, but all of these allegations are very recent in the grand scheme of things. In the conniving vision of the Texans owners you have, why is it they don't ruin Deshaun *after* he is traded, rather than before? Why tank his value *now*, rather than once they get something back from him? edit: keep in mind that Watson has been maintaining for MONTHS now that he wouldn't play for the Texans. His stance didn't change. Its only once it seems *the team* has started fielding offers, the owner pushes the button to nuke the trade value?

Sexual harassment and assault victims often wait to report. As to proceeding with the session, we don't know the timing of the encounters. There is the one case where the masseuse saw him a second time, but in all the others we have no idea on how the situations were handled in the moment.

We will see how it goes. No matter how this plays out someone gets hurt. I'm not saying Watson IS guilty of anything illegal yet either, but we will see what happens... it does appear the police are looking into it, but AFAIK, no charges yet.

There's a difference between two parties of equal power agreeing to something, and someone of greater power effectively threatening someone else to do what they want. The later is the accusation here. When that threat involves sex... Regarding Bill and Monica, there's weird power dynamics at work there and I don't know enough of the details there. However, if Bill had told her that he would make or break her career prior to or as part of them hooking up, that's coercion and assault yeah.

Rape can occur without verbally saying no. I don't know the details and I'm not accusing Watson of rape, but what I read said he used language about making or breaking her career to coerce her into it. This may still become a criminal complaint too.

The issue is this isn't one case. It's at least 7... We don't know why the first plaintiff chose this guy but after that first person it does make some sense to go with this lawyer.

There is no way at all McNair is paying these women or responsible for this in some way. The timing was suspicious I admit and the lawyer is sleezy but the more info that comes out the worse it looks for Watson.

Calling all the accusers escorts that are lying just to make a payday does seem like an attack to me.

If 4 QBs go in the top 7, I think we've already traded up to get one of them.
