  1. Other teams receivers catch poorly thrown balls all the time, lol. DJ and CMC are so far our only receivers that can do that.
  2. Clausen was worse but this offense has SO much more potential. Just crazy.
  3. It's a mix of both. Darnold is missing people, doesn't have time to push the ball down the field because of pressure, and we are calling a big chunk of screen plays.
  4. Lol this offense is just bad. Darnold isn't good but this is ridiculous.
  5. The fact PJ isn't starting should tell you plenty about how he performs in practice. With the loyalty Rhule shows... But yeah I agree. We're running with Sam barring injury.
  6. The entire reason Sam is playing, and why our offense is operating like this, is because Rhule would rather run 3 times and punt, not turning the ball over, than risk a turnover even if we can move the ball some... Imo anyway. PJ will push the ball and throw more INTs.
  7. And blown blocks out there anyway. Shitty playcall, bad execution on multiple players.
  8. Ugh this offense. Almost feels like Brady is just saying "fug you, buddy" to Rhule right now with these playcalls
  9. Giving up 7 points mid way thru the 2nd is pretty good for a defense. Not realistic to shut teams out all game tbh.
  10. Not like Darnold missed him tho. Batted pass...
  11. The problem is Rhule is looking for a shortcut. He's trying to avoid the investment of a first round pick to solidify the QB spot. It is a mistake. I get why they went with TB actually given the Brady connection, but they should really have just gone with their favorite QB at our spot, unless they were really sure none were going to be good. Just feels like a mistake to neglect QB like this...
  12. Lebron weighed in during the whole release OBJ push from his family (https://www.wkyc.com/article/sports/nfl/browns/lebron-james-weighs-in-on-cleveland-browns-odell-beckham-jr-drama/95-e1e51cbe-8813-4f66-89b4-99aa7698fa5b)
  13. In the past OBJ also really, really helped his QBs out with how he'd attack balls in the air too. He hasn't really played enough recently for me to tell if he still has that ... He doesn't need to be how he was in his first few years to be an asset to someone. But I don't think we can afford him.
  14. Definitely read this quickly and was confused why we were asking about a parade for our injured punter.
  15. After listening to the press conference I can confirm you are right, people do hear what they want these days.... Because Rhule did not say "if Sam is able to play he'd be the back up," lol... He said everything was on the table including Sam as backup, depending on clearing the protocol and if the shoulder is or isn't good to go... That means that if fully healthy, Sam starts. If a dinged up shoulder but could play if we are desperate, he might be a backup. If in the protocol or with a serious shoulder problem he'll be inactive... That's exactly what pantherj's post implies...
  16. Sometimes guys bounce around a bit before finding another place they can make an impact. I don't know what happened between closed doors so it's hard to comment, but hopefully he lands some place he can catch on.
  17. Were there some tweets about this? It kinda sounded from the Panthers story like he was still limited.
  18. Baker is better than a lot of potential landing spots for OBJ, tho. I just don't think he's been the same in years. As to the release, it's what OBJ wanted, so it's pretty much a gift to him. I think he's expecting to clear waivers so he can be a free agent and choose his destination.
  19. Glad to see our forum tough guy is here to poo talk professional football players, lol
  20. Assuming he isn't asking for much, yes. Even if we manage to find better with a later round draft pick (we can't spare anything early for the next couple years at LB, imo), he's very valuable depth. In today's game LBs are important but they aren't quite as important as they once were.
