We all know PJ isn't the answer but... The fact he's really worse than this is... Scary
-
Honestly I think Brady knows where he's gonna be next year and it isn't Charlotte.
-
Defense is having a great game for sure... Hope we can somehow entice Reddick and Gilmore to stay... I think we probably need to replace the entire interior. Definitely need a QB too. No point in even playing Sam anymore.
-
Our team isn't total poo but our offense certainly is. Darnold is bad, the OL is bad, playcalling looks ... Uninspired. Make a change at QB and see where we go from here.
-
Minshew isn't available. He's on a roster.
-
Yup definitely.
-
Looked like it.
-
I think even this coaching staff has to give up on Darnold now.
-
Refs are such garbage lol
-
This is just so disheartening... One good play one bad play
-
fuging Darnold man...
-
This offense is so terrible
-
Maybe you're right, but I still think they'd play PJ if he was better because I think Rhule has shown him crazy loyalty. Honestly I do not think PJ is better than Darnold, just more fun to watch. I woulda been fine with him starting this game because Darnold took a huge hit and hasn't practiced. But yeah.
-
Darnold was injured ALL week, tho. This woulda been the perfect game to let PJ play. The reason they didn't is they were desperate not to. If PJ was better than Darnold he Would be playing. Edit: and they could easily have sat PJ next week to let Darnold come back in... Because we all know PJ isn't going to just light the Patriots on fire even if he is better than Darnold... His best game as a pro still wasn't good and he's been one of the few QBs worse than Darnold this year...
-
Because Rhule wanted his boy as a backup. He has huge loyalty to his former players
-
I don't buy this. PJ is as much their handpicked QB as Darnold is. PJ has been atrocious this year. Only reason he didn't start is whatever he showed in practice, IMO. If he was better he wins this job.
-
Early in the season he was moving around in the pocket pretty well, but pressure up the middle is making that very difficult. The OL isn't consistent and it just doesn't seem like we can put a quick passing game into practice at all. Between drops and bad qb play...
-
Hes probably browsing houses for sale in Baton Rouge.
-
I don't think so... Remember Rhule pulled Sam once. The results there spoke for themselves. Gave him a week in practice and...
-
I generally agree. We are fuged at the position and our coaches just demonstrated their complete ineptitude in evaluating QBs.
-
Eye tests also show those pocket numbers are misleading. He is consistently pressured in 2 seconds of dropping back. Doesn't mean Sam is good btw. He's not.
-
You guys do realize just how bad PJ must have been in practice to not play? Think about it. What player has Rhule shown more loyalty, given more opportunities to? Not long ago we used to say all we wanted the O to do was not turn the ball over... That's why PJ isn't playing
-
And PJ somehow looked even worse... Both suck, the offense sucks. Brady is mailing it in IMO, since he already has his job lined up for next year
-
I'm not disputing the numbers, but he's been pressured on more than 30% of his snaps in 4 games, 28% in another, and I think last week is the first time below 20%... Jones for instance only has one (his first) over 30%... I think it's a mix of needing to scramble, making slow decisions, and terrible play calls that don't create a quick throw opportunity.

Why even bother with the checkdown... Wow
