  1. A team ass young as ours needs playoff experience IMO. Having someone like Cam that has been there can only help. This draft sucks for QBs anyway.
  2. This isn't about 5 years from now. It's about riding a very good defense as far as we can. There are reasons to be optimistic. Cams stats last season weren't always good, but half his INTs came in the 2 games post Covid. He had some very good passing games last year, too. Although we don't have a good TE, which I think Cam feasts with, we have strong receivers and CMC, which will help him in the passing game. And as a run first team, Cam is a perfect QB.
  3. 2020 Cam is still better than any player available or on our roster.
  4. LEmme find that post to poo it for the Sam Howell comment.
  5. Never expected them to bring him back but happy to be wrong. Cam isn't what he was, but he's better than anyone on our roster and any other option available, so that's what matters.
  6. I was hoping he'd end up winning a super bowl on a playoff team this year... Guess that has to be us now!
  7. Glad to be wrong! Really wishing we had Slater now...
  8. Hindsight being what it is... And someone that likes Justin Fields... I think I would rather have gone with Slater.
  9. Wouldn't it be wild if our division had Wilson, Watson, AND Brady? Lol... Oh yeah and Matt Ryan
  10. Hope so. Although PJ ran for his life a couple times in relief already, so we shall see. Should be less pressures tho.
  11. So from this and previous post, given these are overall... PFF says Jordan was better in run blocking than pass blocking while Tecklenburg and Moton were better in pass blocking .
  12. A trip, followed by a grab, twist and pull? Looked dirty to me and plenty of others... Including the players.
  13. Tbf he only had 1 more and 1 of em was a reception... Meanwhile this year Teddy has thrown TDs on just under 5% of his passes, has only 1 fewer passing TD than all of last year so far, a 70% completion percentage and is likely gonna hit 30 total TDs on the year. Actually looking like a decent (altho not exceptional) starter...
  14. Yeah I dunno... Darnold didn't seem to take any rough hits (altho he got knocked around a lil)vs NE... But if it was an "aggravation" it makes more sense...
  15. Let's get a broken QB with injury history, put him behind an OL with significant injury history, not bring in any competent backup QBs to either help the broken QB in the QB room or step in if he gets hurt, ignore the obvious brewing problems in these units thru preseason and our first few games, and then totally fail to address either by the trade deadline. Brilliant! Remember the whole treating Darnold like a rookie? I'd that's true... any rookie we draft is fuged too.
  16. Although I think a different QB may have yielded a 9 win season, I just don't see that happening over our remaining schedule... With the options available I don't see us getting 5 more wins this year personally.
  17. I used to think it was just being un vaccinated and that he'd really take a role as a backup as to why he didn't have a job earlier ... But if that's true... Why doesn't NE bring him back? l think it's because even though he says he'd be a backup *he* thinks he'd still be a distraction whether he would be or not... Because unfortunately maybe he would be. I mean we are talking about the guy that made a video interview with his dad after he was released... I dunno... I think that kinda thing is a turnoff to FOs and coaches, whether it should be or not. I think next year he'll get a shot to compete in camp though.
  18. Tbh, I'm not sure when those banners first went up etc... So I'm hesitant to say this is a deliberate slight. I agree it's strange to exclude him though. I do think that if you want to focus on BoA as the site of this victory it's probably the best of those pictures from the link I posted... There's better pictures by other outlets floating around they could have paid to use I suspect but I don't know how that works out.
  19. Just a note on this. The organization likely selected from their set of internal photos that wanted to show this happened at BoA.
  20. I actually think you are right, fwiw, having looked at some others. I don't think there was animosity in the choice but it is weird not to use a picture that includes the biggest reason we made it that far. Then again, at some point the Panthers started to see cams brand as competition I think.
  21. Well, you can argue why that picture was chosen (shirts, a number of players, celebrating etc)... I would have included a picture with Cam but that is fundamentally different from saying they are cropping him out of pictures.
  22. Cam is being blocked by a podium and a speaker. You can see that in the banner too, it's just cropped a bit. Take a look above - that's the original photo and you can see it at https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-receive-nfc-championship-rings-17235426 .... He's not in the original.
  23. This is from the Panthers site posted after the team got it's rings.
  24. He's doing a pretty damn good job of haunting us as it is... At least all of us fans, haha. More like a curse on team management... Maybe that'll be the next excuse when the next retread fails.
