  1. Give it time. Seems like Rhule will have at least another year to see if he can get us to comparable status...
  2. It's a wonder he let Little go! With any luck we'll have another season of amazing personnel decisions thanks to Matt "it's all about the extra inch" Rhule...
  3. For sure. I certainly don't think he's capable of coaching this team to competitiveness anymore.
  4. I think the competitiveness of the team across all phases will be more important than record. If we see a crazy offensive turnaround, and the D shores up vs the run even a bit, I could see him riding the Brady firing into next year.
  5. That comment stuck out to me, too. Also the comment earlier in the season about not having sat down with just Sam before until after the dude came apart... Seemed weird for an HC not to be more involved in a rehabilitation project at QB...
  6. Like when Matt Cassel won the Patriots a Superbowl in 2008? Lol...
  7. Yes the OL has been bad, yes the QB room has lacked a franchise guy, but he hasn't done the offense any favors. Sure CMC down hurt, but he had two good receivers to work with... His play calling is so predictable multiple teams have commented how easy it is to jump routes, the only evidence we have on a QB post Brady is Bridgewater that looks much better without him and hell even called him out on his way out the door...not like denvers offense is even really better than ours talent wise. Brady has as much a hand in our shitty offense as any QB imo.
  8. Don't disagree about the Panthers being crap but a career year for teddy is still low tier starter. He was right about the coaches, but im glad he's gone.
  9. Tbf McDaniels looks pretty good this year and I'm not sure if he was play calling last year but the offense with Cam looked decent given how weak it was at many positions (at least outside cams covid period)... Brady really hasn't done anything yet outside a great year on a crazy stacked college team...
  10. Spark is a weird comment but insofar as he seems incapable of sustained success with multiple QBs I kinda get how he may not have been doing much to help the QBs with his scheme / offense... Admittedly most of what he's given hasn't been great but seeing Teddy Bridgewater have a career year for the Broncos had to make some people wonder. Still glad we moved on from Two Gloves, but yea... Feels like he can have very limited success with a QB before whatever he does gets figured out.
  11. I thought Bouye was playing better than that... Hell before the last few weeks I thought DJax was too. Gilmore and Jaycee fit. Man, what a duo those two would be... Gilmore should be a priority if he doesn't break the bank. Will be so helpful to have his presence with CJ and Jaycee growing under his tutelage.
  12. What a disaster. Terrace not even on the list, Robby with 38, DJ at 76... Remember when we thought this might be the best group of wide receivers we'd ever fielded?
  13. Very weird way to spell Matt Paradis. Not even the right letters...
  14. I don't hate PJ at all, and as I do with all our QBs, I wish he could have had a competent offense around him. I just also think that his decision making is too suspect for a backup. Then again, with his quick decision making, if he was actually making good decisions he'd probably be a decent starter, lol. I just hope we move on from our current OC and hand the offense to an experienced coordinator that can evaluate our QBs in the offseason and see where to go from there.
  15. uh well he can, uh, make plays that involve tackling... Does that count?
  16. I agree with everything you're saying but I don't think we can bank on PJ being anything. Not saying cut him etc... He's the best option at backup atm. I don't blame him (hell, or Darnold) for not being better, I blame the coaches. That doesn't make PJ better than particular other players like heineke right this second tho. Frankly I hope a new offensive staff can come in and evaluate all our QBs in the offseason. Maybe they can make something of PJ as a backup who knows.
  17. I don't know why you think I need a QB to be drafted high or even at all. That isn't the case at all. I've been huge fans of the various undrafted or low round QBs we've had come through as backs turned starters. On the other hand, it does seem high first round draft pick QBs are the most reliable way to find a franchise leader.
  18. Heineke was only on a roster last year because of tons of injuries and he knew the offense. It wasn't like he was carefully developed. He made the most of the opportunities he got last year and that's why he's playing now. Sometimes backups have that happen. I have no dislike of the XFL. I legitimately have no problem with PJ. He's just not very good unfortunately, or at least hasn't been to date. Maybe that'll change some day...
  19. as to heineke being protected last year but PJ wasn't.. Lol... the dude was forced into action because Fitz went on IR this year or he'd prob still be on the bench... it wasn't like Rivera was babying to develop him... now the WFT were comfortable with him as their QB , since he performed pretty damn well in his relief appearance (remember he came in late vs us) and his only start last year, unlike PJ... 3 TDs and only 1 int in >50 passes thrown. Compare that to PJ last year, 1 TD and 5 INTs (and that many INTs was on fewer balls thrown than Heineke last year). Both Heineke and Walker played in relief of their starters and had one start, and the difference in results was, ah, abundantly clear. I'd love for PJ to have a better career but yeah, it isn't looking like he is more than a backup... this team isn't really able to develop a QB clearly.
  20. Walker may have been a better college QB too... Doesn't look like he's a better NFL player, which is all that matters for us.
  21. I love Rivera and would be very happy to see him win a Superbowl. But he has always been good at reaching the cusp of greatness. I just don't see him as being a good enough coach to take the next step. Then again, people said the same thing about Andy Reid and yeah.
  22. I know people see Rhule as someone that is willing to walk away, and that is true, but that is after he thinks he has built something. There's no way he sees the state of the team and thinks he's built something good, lol. I don't see him leaving
