  1. He seems to show up for big games... His NE game was great too for a rookie given what BB normally does to rookies. His first 3 games had 2 TDs and 5 INTs... Since he's thrown 14 TDs and 5 INTs.
  2. Rivera was a better coach than some of us give him credit for, but he isn't an amazing coach. He is what Washington needed to stabilize their football organization. If he can find a franchise QB he might be in pretty good shape, but that seems unlikely. His team reminds me a little too much of his post/without Cam teams here. Rhule is so bad Rivera looks like a fuging genius tho.
  3. Gilmore very well may give a hometown discount. He'd be good in the locker room for the young corners. But yeah our defense is overrated.
  4. The 6th overall is worth so much more than a mid-late first next year and a 3rd this year. The 6th overall is worth double the 21st according to draft value, and 3rds are... I mean a fraction of that... Trading the 6th for the 21st or 22nd this year, plus a first next year (anticipated to be late first), plus a 3rd this year is something I'd be okay with. But not trading away the 6th just so Rhule doesn't have it as a pick...
  5. The Brady comments are why I hold out hope he walks away when Tepper triea to force a real NFL OC on him.
  6. I thought this dude worked for ESPN, not Matt Rhule.
  7. the disturbing thing is how much of an improvement Garrett and Jimmy G would be. Don't get me wrong, I don't want them. But just remember how our defense was stomped by the Giants as the game went on...
  8. This is very insightful... Thanks for putting it together. I figured it was rare. Shanahan had to deal with a severe injury to Jimmy G too, so it makes sense he'd get a bit of slack.
  9. I'll give a listen later, thanks for posting. We know Tepper has been pushing for a proven QB but word was he also wanted Fields. Is QB at 5/6/wherever we end up likely, if they've soured on Sam?
  10. oh it sure looks like a team where the coach doesn't really give a poo for sure.
  11. even as bad as Darnold is, he still is better than Pickles ever was by a long shot. He'll end up with almost double the yards in fewer games and like 4-5x the total TDs than Pickles this season... Wild poo. Pickles had multiple games he started with fewer than 100 yards passing and never once threw for more than 1 TD in a game.
  12. Rhule is a terrible talent evaluator, seems to play favorites (just look at all the fuging Temple and Baylor players lol), and an atrocious in-game coach. He makes questionable decisions and can NOT adjust after halftime. Sometimes we have a decent first half game plan (I say sometimes because lately we just get routed, but hey), but once actual NFL coaches get 2 quarters of watching what we're doing, they simply stop us... and we have no response.
  13. 1) at what point do you expect to see progress? 2) what does an NFL rebuild look like you 3) what are all the recent examples of 3+ year rebuilds that have ended in superbowls?
  14. With Jimmy Clausen on his side, what could possibly go wrong?
  15. VeRsaTiLiTy I can't even get over how absolutely insane it is that we have rookies talking about learning new positions for a chance to see the field when our team is fuging desperate for competent play at their natural position. What a fuging poo show.
  16. Wish we could send the entire coaching staff for a very long trip to a DBO sign in some other state.
  17. I mean ... It actually makes a lot of sense if true.
  18. It was a week or two ago now. I thought he'd be retained then (I think so now too although who knows if we get blown out this weekend), but I don't think that is a good decision, and I think he'll be fired mid season next year.
  19. I've already answered you on if I thought Rhule would be back or not. Why not answer my Q? Do you think Rhule is going to lead this team to the SB?
  20. Do you think Rhule is going to lead this team to a Superbowl?
  21. To be truthful, if we have a new staff I'm okay with Pickett. I just... I don't trust Rhule with ANY young player, let alone a QB.
  22. Addison is going to have a chance to show what he can do in the NFL for sure. As to Pickett... Impossible to say, because he didn't have it. We also have to consider the caliber of opponents too. Burrows detonated Georgia and Clemson and probably had one of the best games against a Saban defense in a long time...
  23. At first I didn't agree, but Luke especially was a guy that took on a different role and then quit what seemed like a great opportunity for him, and as time goes on, I'm more on your and others side that he got a peak at the emperor before he unveiled his new clothes...
  24. Yup, we are tossing out what he did in year 1... Which for clarity was go 2-9 over the last 11 games of the season. And dump a low end starter he had in 2020 for a total dumpster fire of a QB. The real reason is the simple and plain regression visible across the roster. What players Rhule brought in actually look better in year 2 than 1? What players look worse? Which units showes strong improvement down the stretch? If Rhule is a great coach some part of the team should show that... It doesn't. Hell, our most improved unit is special teams, all cause we lucked into a kick returner that doesn't fumble and an incredible (and now injured) kicker.
