I think they both suck, for the record. and just for the record, Joe Burrow had 115 rushing attempts when LSU set the world on fire in Brady's offense that year. and if Grier is better for this offense.....why has it moved better and had more production in the preseason with PJ?

So it's reaching to discus their actual play in the NFL. lol. Only 2021 preseason first half play (recent performance only)... PJ lead offense - 15 points (plus missed FG) Grier lead offense - 3 points (plus missed FG). PJ longest drive - 91 yards Grier longest drive - 53 yards PJ second longest drive - 81 yards Grier second longest drive 47 yards So I would say the Panther O moved the ball better and was more productive in the first half with PJ over Grier. Which echos what also happened in the actual NFL games when they saw the field.

In Will Grier’s one NFL start he took 5 sacks….and had a worse completion % than PJ did in his one start. He also had less yards, more INTs, less TDs, etc. Will Grier and PJ both aren't very good QBs. So yeah, I'll take the mobile QB given what our OL looks like. And again, PJ would be more useful prepping with our D before we play all the mobile QBs on the schedule.

KC I think is getting a little annoyed at him. He has followed up all those XP misses last year by missing this preseason

I’ll guess the guy from Temple as next

So you think DJ and Robby are the same tier WR? I would say he would walk then if Carolina viewed it is as such. The market for him is clearly being set by others and he can get it. I’d tell him not to sign here if I was in his camp. If Sam can throw it downfield DJ willl have a great year. If Darnold can’t he will do what he has done the last two. Either way, someone I think will pay him at least what Golladay can get + the yearly inflated bump added on.

I’d rather you just stick to this conversation where you to tell me some more about why it doesn’t really matter to Robby and his agent when a deal gets done. Preseason or week 8…..it’s all the same per Mr Scott. That blown ACL wouldn’t impact anything. Carolina would just offer him the same deal as if it never happened.

there are decades of players and agents discussing the scenario in great detail. And Robbie and his team being sane and wanting a deal for Robby before the season starts….is common sense being applied to the situation. and Robby got his deal. Before the season started. You would be a horrible agent if you didn’t think that timing mattered. Robby’s agent did a good thing for Robby. Now he has real insurance for the season.

Maybe, but that also featured Teddy. A QB who had spent years in a comparable pass scheme with a built in clock to get rid of the ball quick. I just see them going much more CMC heavy in the pass scheme than those opening Teddy games with Sam. and I admittedly have been super high on Marshall since the moment he was drafted. So I’m bringing that baggage with me. Think there are high odds he falls in line pretty quick. Which is why I preferred them to wait and see what he really looked like…..and then make the Robby decision.

Robby IMO had odds of being expendable. Marshall/Shi could of made that so. Overall, our passing options had good odds of being strong with our without Robby. I think they should of waited and see it play out. and then you take Robby's money/cap space and use it a position that really needs addressing. Like OL, QB, LB, etc.

Deals impact other deals. Deals impact who ultimately stays and goes. I'm a DJ guy. Said before this deal occurred, I wanted them to address DJ first and foremost. He is the dude. Worth noting, DJ isn't a Rhule guy or a Fitterer guy. Which often matters in the NFL. and of course, then there is the whole "freakout" narrative. Lots of people can disagree with stuff. It doesn't mean furniture is being flipped. It's just sports. Bitching about stuff is half the fun of professional sports.
