  1. yeah, I can see the folks coming for you. But Verge you didn't say that could happen! yeah, well no one can predict the Raiders. I mean they are the token for that but any team can change the plans and how the board unfolds. We see it all the time. Someone doesn't go where expected. Suddenly a bunch of teams have guys they assumed would be gone in play and they adapt.
  2. look, you can't stop the freakouts. No one can. and Verge might have great intel....but no franchise can actually predict how the draft unfolds. All it takes is one to change how the board falls.
  3. There are a million Mac Jones' IMO. You just have to let them play QB at Bama. Nick Saban QBs are the same as Urban Meyer QBs IMO.
  4. I probably need to starting looking for the appropriate gif to spam the draft thread with this evening when the pick is announced....
  5. 1. Trevor 2. Wilson 3. Fields (boom!) 4. Pitts 5. Sewell (Burrow doesn't get his guy, team more worried about his knee and keeping him upright) 6. Chase 7. several teams compete for it, someone gives up too much for a QB. 8. Panthers end up in my worst case scenario.
  6. Owner then takes the mic from Goodell and fires everyone in SF. 49ers gave up 84 first round picks and their first born to get up to #3.
  7. I say Brady is the GOAT. #1. Montana is #2. Tom Brady is not the best QB though, present day, in 2021. And he has to alter his game because his skills are declining. Rodgers isn't on the downslide yet. Mahomes is on the upswing. In a vacuum, Brady isn't the best QB in 2021.
  8. again, we comparing present day individuals or teams? Right now, Tampa > GB. They are a well built team. Probably the best built. Remove QBs from every team in the NFL? Tampa is probably the roster. Again, Peyton Manning has HOF career. Top 5 all time QB. Cam Newton was still a better QB in 2015 than Peyton Manning. Tom Brady is still a very good present day QB. But he is also 40+ year old and continues to alter his game as he ages. Rodgers is just a better QB today. Better arm. Can do more for a team. GB needs him to do a LOT more than Tampa needs Brady to do.
  9. Fields at #3. Fields is the only guy the 49ers would have been worried the NYJ could of had a change of heart to .....so the 49ers have done their best to make Fields seem as unappealing to the masses as possible so they didn't get clowned after mortgaging everything to get to #3 so early. I'm totally down with this conspiracy thoery. Way better than Flat Earth or the fake moon landing.
  10. What does someone's past, their teams success and history have to do with a present day comparison of individuals? in 2015 Cam Newton was a better QB than Peyton Manning. Present day Rodgers is a better QB than Tom Brady.
  11. Nah, he is in Tampa playing on an absolutely loaded roster. Rodgers > Brady. I mean, if we are just talking about the individual. Team success is a different story. Tampa built a better team. Tampa > Packers.
  12. I don’t think Rodgers and the Packers actually like each other though...it’s a weird dynamic. Last years draft was a middle finger IMO to Rodgers.
  13. It sure does feel like the Packers org would prefer to move on from Rodgers.....it’s just the fact he is the probably the best pure QB in the league, the wins and fans getting in the way.
  14. I think in the end, the Mac Jones thing was a Kyle creation and bullpoo. Then the media started running with the clickbait story thanks to Kyle’s good buddy Simms. If I a was in Vegas I’d throw a dollar on Mac being the 5th QB taken....like it always was suppose to be.
  15. I just got a text message from my best source about tonight! She said she didn't feel like cooking dinner tonight and it was on me.
  16. If we pick a CB at #8 it better be Surtain. Not that I want a CB at #8. If we draft Farley or Horn.....I swear on all that is good I will post a gif that voices my displeasure!! Maybe 2 of them! One probably will be from The Office of Michael Scott. I'm not afraid to do it.
  17. shock of the draft. Justin Fields goes #3 to SF. Panthers try to trade back but no offer is good enough. They draft a DB at #8. 60% of the board goes crazy because Slater and Lance are on the board. 20% loves it. 20% just doesn't really care.
  18. If we stay at #8? Horn or Farley. I don’t want Lance at 8 either.
  19. with a medical record like his in the first? The back is a big concern. And he just injured it again after sitting out in 2020. Not sure how he gets a green light while still recovering from his 2nd back surgery. Someone might take him early. But I still think he has big fall potential. All it takes is for the DB needy teams to have someone they like a little better...and for him to hit some teams that took him of their board, don’t need a DB, and don’t like the injury. I don’t doubt Verge. I’m sure we are interested. But we are a team interested in every DB because of need. If the other teams like us go a different route he could fall.
  20. Farley 2017 - acl 2019 - back spasms 2020 - sat out missed pro day - back surgery missing draft - covid It’s like the warning signs slapping you in the face with Farley. He is a great talent but the draft is risky enough with a 100% healthy stud.
  21. His medical red flags are kinda nuts. More than just the back. I’ll be shocked if he goes in the top 16 (top half).
  22. Cam was Julius Peppers playing QB. I mean he is the answer. At least easily in a discussion that names Josh Allen.
  23. Heck, I think there are odds you could see Farley at the top of the 2nd
