Daniel Jones would make more sense than Andy Dalton

Miami still got to win there way into the Championship game. Nothing is a given with them in ACC play.
-
I mean, I don't know if you have been paying attention....but from early on in the year I have said Clemson was ACC good but was never good enough to compete with real top of college football. And that was true if they were ACC champs. So what exactly is going to be exposed?? lol They might lose to the Gamecocks. Smarter money would be on Clemson if you had to pick. Homefield, better overall talent, Dabo. It's a rivalry game featuring two comparable tiered teams this year. Nothing gets exposed there. and I think you draw a line in the sand at this point. Meaning the CFP can't be viewed as it was. New era. The real CFP era was Bama and Clemson. This is the CFP era vol 2. Which will feature a bunch of meh teams every year and meh teams bragging about making it and not really being a threat.
-
yeah, you should get an auto spot not an auto top 5 spot. I mean, Big12 still could go sideways and the #5 seed is someone the CFP actually ranks way out of the top 12. Right now it's the #16 seed but it could be lower than that.

If Clemson wins, they have a tiny shot at sneaking in. I’d say if Gamecocks win, that shot is much smaller than Clemson’s was Gamecocks got problems Clemson doesn’t. Ole Miss and Bama. Both ahead of them, with the head to head win over them.
-
This season, Clemson just became the 4th team in the history of college football to win at least 9 game 14 straight seasons. Dabo is 100% underrated. Which I get, he can be annoying to outsiders. The bar for Dabo is just put unattainably high….so people say like to say he is no longer good.
-
I’ll be honest, I haven’t sat down and watched SMU one time all year. I got no clue what they really bring.
-
What do you mean not reward the Big12 champion? 2 ACC teams projected in tonight not 3. Clemson is #12 but they are first out because they are forced to leapfrog in the #16 BIG12 champ
-
Not so much in the Palmetto Bowl. And also not always, see Dabo’s multiple nattys over SEC teams. You’re an interesting cat Mr.Colorado/SEC/Miami/formerTarheel fan.

Is it too early to lock up Horn to a long term deal?
CRA replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
he has barely suited up for 50% of our games. It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way. If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you. Let someone else And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag. should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision. Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon. Flip side is probably Peppers. -
For one, I think with all the Fred Warner talk (and rightfully so).....people overlook how important his partner in the middle was/is. that kid that tore his achillies in the Super Bowl. He has been out all year.

I've seen this movie before... Nightmare on Mint St 37. I know exactly what this new found crowd of Bryce believers is going to do in the coming weeks.
-
Prime is already gone boss. Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
-
I think Bryce Young actually benefits from teams that run a heavy blitz % on D. I think the toughest D for Bryce overall is a team that sits in coverage, sit on the routes, and relies on their front 4 to do the work. Bryce still is limited in how much he can threaten a D with certain throws and allows them to cheat on their coverage roles.
-
We got no one on defense......and yet QBs certainly don't avoid going at Horn this year. I think he is still overly aggressive. Which means there is a lot of reward potentially there if you are a QB/WR. Which is why he has given up a lot of TDs and can be penalty heavy. I think if refs let him maul he is tough. Which he proves. But I think Horn is always a little more susceptible to the big play given how he plays. I also think Horn is a true man corner. You need to be running tons of man. I don't like him as much in zone. Nnamdi back in the day was a great man corner. Best in the league. Meh zone corner.

That’s already baked in to a degree with their poll that has been out. Miami will be #6 going into that weekend. the college football gods already helped prop Miami up and got them through VT, Cal. CFP Committee isn’t bumping Cam Ward out of the playoffs once they put them up at 6. The teams don’t exist to leapfrog them out at that point. it would take a Cam Ward injury to knock Miami out. It he got hurt and they lost…Miami should be knocked out like a FSU IMO
-
I mean that’s not an argument I go with… But in ACC play, both Clemson and SMU covered the spread more than Miami. Miami didn’t cover in 3 games.

Sometimes the deal you don’t make is the BEST DEAL…. LOL @ Giants
CRA replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Giants GM having a rough go at it. His kid schooled him on what QB should get sought after in the draft and he basically laughed him off (Daniels in Washington). Sold his owner no one would pay Barkley and certainly the Eagles wouldn’t. -
100% Gamecocks have a tremendous fanbase. I would have abandoned Clemson long ago if they were basically the college equivalent of a Tepper run football team.
-
I think the 1 win in recent history was because Dabo was emotional….and wanted to prove he could do a version of Beamer ball. Instead of just beating yall boringly with Shipley that ole ego/jealously caught Dabo. I just want a fun game. Hope the 2 QBs are having good days. Both IMO have a tendency to run pretty hot/cold. If one is cold, that teams is done for this weekend IMO.

Bama/Auburn at 3:30. Texas/Texas A&M at night. Probably just TV eyeball math?
-
Ok. I gotcha then. Now I agree overall. They will selectively punish. Honestly, Miami would likely benefit simply because of Ward. Better to have him in than not in. If they beat Syracuse they are in….even with a loss to SMU. Because of Ward.
-
Sure it is. But you aren’t a great team if you are having to pull away from ACC teams late in the 4th essentially every single week. Again, neutral field, they aren’t really even going to be favored over both SMU and Clemson IMO. So what are you then? Miami might win the ACC. If you do, it’s the power of the QB spot. You got the best QB in likely the nation. So congrats.
-
Um…ok. so lets say Miami likely is #6 this week. They beat Syracuse. So let’s say are at worst going into title game as #6…..and then you said the committee won’t punish teams for losing….so I still don’t square how they would keep Miami out if they lost and aren’t punished for losing. I’m a Clemson guy. I don’t think the ACC is a joke but they aren’t the SEC. If the past decade another team had stepped up with Clemson they would have been the BIG10
