  1. I would wager only the AFCS are the only ones they will really not want to deal with. While the general preference might be the NFC they aren't going to turn away a good offer from a AFC not in their division.
  2. Teddy has consistently always been the exact same dude. He isn't going to get better. His issues are in his QB DNA.
  3. I would never say they make decisions based off of fan buzz. I do think fans can influence some things though. Just like any successful business, customers always have some influence. For example, I think fan buzz can factor into when coaches get the axe. Fans could be the difference between in an in season firing or waiting until the end. Coach was getting fired no matter what. Maybe if they give the fans that it can help w/ attendance in late pointless games as an example.
  4. Big Ben gotta take a pay cut to play. They said it nicer.
  5. but Front Offices do get the word on what the buzz is on social media/online. Maybe not everything, but they know when a fan base is really unhappy about X or want Y.
  6. The moment they gave Nuk away like that I knew Watson was going to be done w/ them. The answer was simple. If a mediocre coach can't deal w/ Nuk in his prime? You go get another coach. You don't break up the Watson/Nuk combo. Watson's two years as the starting QB he he logged double digit winning seasons before they started going insane this season.
  7. you talking about the dude who gave Nuk Hopkins away for a 3rd?
  8. no one is going to want to trade for Teddy either. We just need to forget that thought. Teddy serves one purpose. A backup QB. Teddy only made sense in Carolina as temp solution because Joe Brady was installing a new offense in a COVID season and had less time.
  9. 2nd for Stafford is a good deal. Just playing the odds....he will be better than the 3rd or 4th QB drafted in a given draft. Stafford has the arm for what Joe Brady wants to do. A legit proven upgrade over Teddy.
  10. homerism aside? and only looking at the most obvious. well, if winning and only winning mattered? I'd probably go to NE. They are an instant contender w/ BB and Watson. Especially when they aren't leading the league in players sitting out w/ COVID. But I am not sure Watson wants to sign up for the Patriot way. If BB has the QB who has proven time and time again he can patchwork up the rest. For a good combo of things? I don't think Carolina is bad option for him. Nor do I think it is homerism. Which is why I think we are legitimately on his list. Close to home. Young coaches. Good skill position talent to throw to. A pretty liberal owner.
  11. Chicago would be tough IMO for that FO. I mean, they have spent the last several years being mocked for not taking Watson in the draft and picking Mitch instead. Guess it depends on how you look at it though. To me, it just highlights what a joke that FO would be....to then give up the farm to get the guy you had and refused to take.
  12. David Tepper should trade all his Gamestop stock for Deshaun Watson!!!! *stealing this from Ross Tucker
  13. I once watched Watson on a torn ACL complete 74% of his passes with 4 TDs to destroy his rival SEC opponent. Some kind of mythical creature, he is half man, half god, half possible Centaur, but I’m not sure, but either way, I wish he was my dad…
  14. I'd go two 1's and CMC as my no higher mark. and as a franchise I would quit paying RBs. A lesson we never have learned.
  15. How many Super Bowls had Peyton Manning been to 4 years into his career? How many Super Bowls did Dan Marino win? How many did Warren Moon even appear in? Deshuan Watson is special. Always has been. From the first game he stepped on the field vs Florida St as a freshman to now. Now, can we debate if cost is worth it? Sure. But he is exactly what teams are looking for.
  16. I agree. That is why it is my fear. I'm also in the camp where I could handle them passing on Lance.
  17. I'm just saying our entire FO are unknowns. Not saying they shouldn't be trusted. We have had 1 draft with Rhule and Tepper together. That's it. Fitterer a total unknown now coming in. Just in terms of playing the fun guessing game. It is really hard given they have virtually no history to really guess off of. Since they don't have an established way of doing things and behaving.
  18. yeah, #4 seems to be as high as you could go. But like you said, the chart is probably to conservative given the QB heaviness of this draft.
  19. my issue would only be Mac at #8 and why it is my fear. Teams might a lot of dumb moves when it comes to QBs....especially QB needed teams. GM/Owner/HC are still all unknowns IMO in terms of drafting/decision making. I think there are places in the draft where he could be a good value.
  20. my biggest fear. We don't make a move for Watson/Stafford. Then, and some mocks show it, Trevor, Fields, Wilson and Lance all go before #8. Matt Rhule drafts Mac at #8 after getting to know him at the Senior Bowl so well.
  21. the cost to trade up to #2 is crazy though. Going off the "chart" at least. Our entire 2021 draft wouldn't even be enough to move up to #2 from #8.
  22. he was coaching in the NFL....when the new Lions HC was still playing in the NFL. man, the Lions suck. Always good to know the Panthers will never be the worst.
