I say Brady is the GOAT. #1. Montana is #2. Tom Brady is not the best QB though, present day, in 2021. And he has to alter his game because his skills are declining. Rodgers isn't on the downslide yet. Mahomes is on the upswing. In a vacuum, Brady isn't the best QB in 2021.

again, we comparing present day individuals or teams? Right now, Tampa > GB. They are a well built team. Probably the best built. Remove QBs from every team in the NFL? Tampa is probably the roster. Again, Peyton Manning has HOF career. Top 5 all time QB. Cam Newton was still a better QB in 2015 than Peyton Manning. Tom Brady is still a very good present day QB. But he is also 40+ year old and continues to alter his game as he ages. Rodgers is just a better QB today. Better arm. Can do more for a team. GB needs him to do a LOT more than Tampa needs Brady to do.

Fields at #3. Fields is the only guy the 49ers would have been worried the NYJ could of had a change of heart to .....so the 49ers have done their best to make Fields seem as unappealing to the masses as possible so they didn't get clowned after mortgaging everything to get to #3 so early. I'm totally down with this conspiracy thoery. Way better than Flat Earth or the fake moon landing.

What does someone's past, their teams success and history have to do with a present day comparison of individuals? in 2015 Cam Newton was a better QB than Peyton Manning. Present day Rodgers is a better QB than Tom Brady.

Nah, he is in Tampa playing on an absolutely loaded roster. Rodgers > Brady. I mean, if we are just talking about the individual. Team success is a different story. Tampa built a better team. Tampa > Packers.

I don’t think Rodgers and the Packers actually like each other though...it’s a weird dynamic. Last years draft was a middle finger IMO to Rodgers.
-
It sure does feel like the Packers org would prefer to move on from Rodgers.....it’s just the fact he is the probably the best pure QB in the league, the wins and fans getting in the way.

I think in the end, the Mac Jones thing was a Kyle creation and bullpoo. Then the media started running with the clickbait story thanks to Kyle’s good buddy Simms. If I a was in Vegas I’d throw a dollar on Mac being the 5th QB taken....like it always was suppose to be.

What Are You Going To Be Upset About If We Draft A
CRA replied to OceanPanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we pick a CB at #8 it better be Surtain. Not that I want a CB at #8. If we draft Farley or Horn.....I swear on all that is good I will post a gif that voices my displeasure!! Maybe 2 of them! One probably will be from The Office of Michael Scott. I'm not afraid to do it. -
shock of the draft. Justin Fields goes #3 to SF. Panthers try to trade back but no offer is good enough. They draft a DB at #8. 60% of the board goes crazy because Slater and Lance are on the board. 20% loves it. 20% just doesn't really care.

If we stay at #8? Horn or Farley. I don’t want Lance at 8 either. -
with a medical record like his in the first? The back is a big concern. And he just injured it again after sitting out in 2020. Not sure how he gets a green light while still recovering from his 2nd back surgery. Someone might take him early. But I still think he has big fall potential. All it takes is for the DB needy teams to have someone they like a little better...and for him to hit some teams that took him of their board, don’t need a DB, and don’t like the injury. I don’t doubt Verge. I’m sure we are interested. But we are a team interested in every DB because of need. If the other teams like us go a different route he could fall.

Cam was Julius Peppers playing QB. I mean he is the answer. At least easily in a discussion that names Josh Allen.

I agree that moving on quick from a mistake is nice to see. I think how they went about it was pointlessly messy and they likely helped drive Teddy’s value down some in that process. Cam/Teddy. Business can be business. I’m starting to get some Gettlemen vibes though in how they go about their business though. Which I just am personally not a fan of.

Rhule installed a new O, new D, new everything....with no preseason, no normal camp, etc.....and was in every game at the end except for the ones against the Super Bowl champs. Despite not having CMC for most of the season and the roster gutted of franchise fixtures. He overachieved in year 1. We shouldn’t of been that competitive.

I think Denver's move increases their odds of just seeing what falls to them. NE is the one to watch IMO. I personally think BB is determined to redeem himself after Brady held up that trophy and he suffered his first losing season. They have been pretty aggressive in trying to get on track this offseason. I think BB likes Cam. But probably likes Cam being in the building more than playing QB.

Do the Panthers have a legit starting QB on their roster they believe can help them achieve their goals? It's that simple. If the answer is no, then you have to be willing to acquire high end QB talent when the opportunity presents itself. If Sam is Sam....we likely aren't in the position to draft a Justin Fields caliber player the next season. Because Sam isn't Clausen. If a QB doesn't fall? One you like. Well, you draft BPA. Get the OT. Get the TE/WR. Get Surtain. Whatever. Nothing you can do about that.
