  1. if Fields is great AND Horn is great and Darnold remains Darnold…..we still have egg on our face though.
  2. I will say this for Cam. His bread and butter was always working through the TEs. Belichick went out and got not one but two studs at TE......plus all their COVID hold outs will back. Plus, Cam will have a year in the books of what is largely regarded as a tough O to walk into. I certainly wouldn't bet against him if he stays healthy.
  3. low tier roster players are often fodder used to make points and examples out of. I mean, Jeremy Chinn could go all Ronnie Lott on someone.
  4. dang, corner didn't even have to lay out for it. Stayed on his feet after pancaking him and then turned to try to make a play.
  5. listen Bill Nye, I'm tired of worrying about muffed punts! What does science say about my blood pressure. I'm prioritizing my personal health here. * but your facts are noted
  6. 89 was still our primary punt returner in 2005 (the triple crown season) and when he wasn't returning punts our starting CB Gamble was.
  7. Crunch time the Ravens would put Hall of Famer Ed Reed back there.
  8. better players than them have returned kicks too. it's football. I have never really bought into the it's too big of a risk thing. CMC literally plays every snap already. I don't think playing certain downs where he mostly likely fair catches a ball is actually greater risk in the grand scheme of things. Just as likely to have his knees destroyed in a pile up IMO than hurt on kick returns.
  9. I said he was a niche player and we only used him that way one season.....which was 2020. You throw Samuel on the outside and ask him to do what Robby Anderson does and he will be weak. Because he isn't a pure WR. Playing from the slot and backfield is his niche. CMC being hurt and the addition of Robbie allowed him to fall into the role he was always meant for.
  10. Curtis Samuel is a bad dude. He just has a special niche you need to use him in. Which Carolina only did one season. We were always a bad landing spot IMO for him given CMC was also coming here IMO.
  11. I agree with this. It’s like moving Captain from nickel to outside or Samuel’s from slot to the outside. They were good players and frankly drafted to be a certain player. Then some years because we neglected other spots we move them out of their ideal spots….and it just makes them lesser players. We just need to go get a LT.
  12. Apparently this kid looked good. Also the #1 rookie jersey over Lawrence, Wilson and Lance. So I guess some people are hype.
  13. Modern day NFL. Spot fouls for breathing hard on players. Horn isn’t going to be allowed to do what he did in college though. And it is significantly more costly in the NFL to commit PI than college. He has has the tools to be elite. But he is going to have some growing pains most likely. Which is fine.
  14. Love this pick. That 88 going to take my brain awhile though....
  15. I wanna see them DJ Moore one on ones. He is the test of where Horn really is IMO. He is our most physical WR and best all around.
  16. Joe Horn is not old enough...for the ref to keep that flag in his pocket
  17. yeah, my 10 year old kid isn't itching to watch a movie that came out nearly 20 years ago. if you brought up Pirates of the Caribbean he might say something like....oh, I think I saw something about that on Disney+. But I haven't watched it. You ask him who Johnny Depp is? He has no clue. No reason for him to. Johnny Depp currently is some washed up looking homeless man present day that isn't relevant. No one is talking about the Pirates movies. It isn't a thing for his age bracket. You allow him screen time to watch what he wants? He will ask to get on you tube and watch someone else play a video game. Maybe Dude Perfect or something. I don't get it. But that's what it is.
  18. My son doesn't know who the fug Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise are. Those are nobodies. He is a 10 year old. He knows who Steph Curry is. That's a celebrity to a 10 year old boy. That's why he wants to wear Steph gear. Odd that multiple companies from the NBA to Under Armor produce Steph merch to sale to the masses if he isn't a "celebrity". And no matter who comes along later you likely will never convince him anyone can ever be a greater shooter. That's how it works. And Robert Downey Jr is nothing more than Iron Man to him. That's it. And that's all he likely will ever be to him.
  19. Ok, but it seems like a weird bar. That only megastars can be considered celebrities. Then Tyson Fury, Luca Doncic, Mike Trout, Logan Paul, Jojo aren’t celebrities. I mean fuging Blippi can be called a celebrity. It’s a niche. Like most. and Floyd isn’t even Mike Tyson on your scale. Everyone knows Mike Tyson. Floyd isn’t even that in reality.
  20. The Paul brothers are a household name for certain age brackets. Outside of Oprah, Micheal Jordan, territory…most celebrities are a niche thing. Tyson Fury and Deonte Wilder could walk up to the majority of Americans and they wouldn’t be recognized.
  21. I don't consider Will Grier's brother a celebrity. I do consider some internet personalities celebrities. That Floyd fight only existed because The Paul brothers are celebrities. The internet isn't a fad. Unless TV was a fad. I mean there are a tons of actors who aren't celebrities. Same applies to the internet. The upcoming generations dictate celebrity and it's evolution IMO.
  22. Celebrity evolves just as entertainment does. The Paul brothers are defiantly celebrities. The one just duped a bunch of people with a Mayweather "fight". I mean, that fight only happens because he is a mega celebrity in the current world we live in. Old farts not knowing or caring doesn't change the fact he is a celebrity. Younger generation could give 2 shits about some old celebrities too.
  23. I am sticking with Rhule and company have managed the QB position poorly from day 1. Feel free to view it otherwise. And I’m sticking with they know it too.
  24. If we would have had the 3 spot we would have been guaranteed a QB. When we acquired Darnold there was talk all 5 could be gone.
