  1. Ray Lewis is one of the most iconic and beloved players in NFL history. Also not a snitch. If OJ had been 25 and capable of putting up a 2k season….I’m not confident he wouldn’t of played again.
  2. toxic for a long time in the NFL is like a year.....if you can play at a high level. and no, I don't want Watson at this point. But Watson isn't a unicorn. Lot of dudes in this league do shameful things we wouldn't want to sit down with our kids and go....but he makes plays and is fun to watch so let's just move on. Which basically every fanbase will do to some degree.
  3. it apparently is now a thing for coaches to demand people that don't play for them call them coach. Jason Garrett apparently channeling Primetime today.
  4. or Scenario 4. We find ourselves in need of a QB late in an attempt to sneak into the postseason. CRA stands up in the crowd and starts a slow PJ chant. PJ, PJ, PJ. Soon it takes over the entire stadium! PJ! PJ! PJ!. Rhule gives him the shot. He continues his undefeated streak. We go on to win the Super Bowl. PJ Walker gets a statue. In his speech for the Hall of Honor, he credits me for starting that chant and making it all happen. PJ and I become best friends. Everyone here is sooooo jealous. And scene.
  5. Well, if any other team in the NFL coming off back to back 5 win seasons added Sam Darnold to put behind their weak OL......what would we be saying about that plan and their outlook? Who is defending Teddy? I was a PJ Walker guy last year.
  6. I think the guys in Vegas are pretty close. Think they have us at 7.5. never know how the ball bounces though. We could get lucky. But I think 9 is pushing the ceiling though.
  7. Well he only has one job. Prevent the throw. So yeah, he wouldn’t get the PBU in a game because a QB would be forced else thanks to Horn (insert whatever the seatbelt celebration is he does).
  8. We had a top 3 rushing offense the 2 seasons Otah largely played. He was the dude to run behind.
  9. I think the Cowboys are gonna be good. Especially on offense. Dak got tons of weapons.
  10. We won 5 games largely without CMC last year. But we won only 5 games with him the year prior. and people outside Carolina don't view Sam as an upgrade over Teddy.
  11. Sam has has a 71 rating. Which per Madden, has him tied with 3 guys as the 33rd best QB.
  12. We won 5 games last year. And our starting QB is now Sam Darnold. What type respect should people be giving us? You really want to dig in that Sam Darnold should be viewed as better than Goff or Trevor?
  13. You probably got Dan Marino on your all NFL bust list.
  14. Eric Shelton never gets proper respect when it comes to the biggest bust conversation. I mean, at least the Jimmy Clausen's of the world were good enough to suck on Sunday for a minute.
  15. well, the last 2 years.....Justin Fields was largely regarded as 1b. or #2 at worst. and that is NFL.com reporting where the team scouts had Fields. Not me. I am a Trevor fanboy. I think he is Peyton 2.0 but more athletic and chill.
  16. According to Cynthia Frelund of NFL.com, about a quarter of the scouts actually had Fields as the No. 1 quarterback in the draft, ahead of even Lawrence. Frelund said she talked to about 16 team scouts, and at least half of them had him as QB1. Every board is different. Plenty of folks never came off Fields being 1b right there with Lawrence. Which is a position he road for 2 years.
  17. Lot of bad stuff goes on. I mean, the Patriots and Browns orgs are also recent examples. They knew what nightmares they had on their hands. Texans knew about Watson. NFL PR is NFL PR. Teams go out of their way to hide stuff and protect guys until forced to address it because of leaks or incidents. You most definitely can't believe anything teams or athletes say IMO. Well, when poo hits the fans and they are forced into some honesty.
  18. NFL players do a lot of fugged up things. They generally don't admit to it all when someone else is in trouble and dominating the news cycle. Watson is essentially the reminder. These dudes just play football. Even the squeakiest clean appearing guys...likely aren't.
  19. I mean, there is no doubt a lot of teams still have their eyes on Watson. Especially given the opportunity to get a steal if things fell the right way. NFL teams know fans forgive and forget. Big Ben, Tyreek Hill, Ray Lewis, Mike Vick, Leonard Little, and on and on. If Watson can get back on the field....teams will be interested.
  20. Some decisions that involve personnel are also business decisions. It it is a business first and foremost for Tepper. I think you are overplaying the current Panther PR that surrounds a green HC and green GM. I'm sure they have been given some rope to get started. But NFL teams have always been mom and pop shops. Tepper will be in the mix. That's just the way it is in the NFL. Degrees vary. But there is no such thing as an actual hands off owner IMO.
  21. Undefeated QB out there doing undefeated QB things!
  22. I mean, I would imagine that likely does factor in for every guy that isn't a roster lock. I think there are refs out there today too.
  23. Marshall has the best odds IMO of being the most loved rookie on the huddle. Lot of that has to do with where he landed and the position he landed in. WRs in today’s NFL have an easier time making a positive impact over other positions. Joe Brady can insert his guy into good opportunities….CMC, DJ Moore, Robby will all garner more attention/respect. Horn likely has a bumpy year one. DB is a really tough position to excel in right away. Or in general. Lot of great WRs. Hardly any great DBs. Especially in today’s NFL. And his game is going to have to be revamped. Which will take some time most likely.
  24. Once Aaron Rodgers hit his prime…he is basically an automatic winning season. Which is basically true for Russell Wilson, Brady and almost every elite QB in the NFL. Cam’s body failed him and the fact the NFL refused to treat him as a QB.
