  1. it’s just basic business. Protection. Robby blows his ACL week 1….he gets fugged if his agent didn’t get that deal done. that’s not a new concept. It’s been talked about for decades in the NFL. and it’s great for Robbie. He has a good agent. One that looked out for Robby’s best interest.
  2. Maybe, but that also featured Teddy. A QB who had spent years in a comparable pass scheme with a built in clock to get rid of the ball quick. I just see them going much more CMC heavy in the pass scheme than those opening Teddy games with Sam. and I admittedly have been super high on Marshall since the moment he was drafted. So I’m bringing that baggage with me. Think there are high odds he falls in line pretty quick. Which is why I preferred them to wait and see what he really looked like…..and then make the Robby decision.
  3. I have CMC hovering around 900ish as realistic. Sam’s last season the Jets actually tried Bell was 2nd on the team in receptions. So it’s not like Sam isn’t likely to make good use of the best receiver out of the backfield in the business.
  4. Would it shock anyone if Robby was 3rd in receiving yards and 4th in rec TDs this year? In that context, it just doesn’t seem like the best way to go about it for me.
  5. Robby IMO had odds of being expendable. Marshall/Shi could of made that so. Overall, our passing options had good odds of being strong with our without Robby. I think they should of waited and see it play out. and then you take Robby's money/cap space and use it a position that really needs addressing. Like OL, QB, LB, etc.
  6. Deals impact other deals. Deals impact who ultimately stays and goes. I'm a DJ guy. Said before this deal occurred, I wanted them to address DJ first and foremost. He is the dude. Worth noting, DJ isn't a Rhule guy or a Fitterer guy. Which often matters in the NFL. and of course, then there is the whole "freakout" narrative. Lots of people can disagree with stuff. It doesn't mean furniture is being flipped. It's just sports. Bitching about stuff is half the fun of professional sports.
  7. Golladay just signed a deal for 18. An old Julio just signed a deal for 22. So I would say you look at deals like....and whatever you think he is worth off those numbers. You add to it. Because time will inflate what it ends up being.
  8. yeah, we don't if that was true or not. But we know he isn't going to be playing any longer under the worst case scenario. and it was based on common sense and NFL history. Robby would have been correct in wanting a deal BEFORE this season started. An injury would fug him. That's just business.
  9. the "conspiracy theory", or at least one I was aware of, was Robby didn't want to play football this season without a new deal. Here is the deal.
  10. reminder, Samuel just signed a 3 year/ 34 mill deal. they overpaid Rhule's Robby IMO. And now there are high odds DJ Moore walks away. The better younger WR on the roster. That doesn't seem smart.
  11. They have attempts an almost identical number of passes in actual NFL games. PJ edges him in about every aspect that exists in the stat column. That is not an argument that PJ is better. It’s just one that in actual games there isn’t much of argument that Will Grier is somehow better in that department
  12. Give me a garbage OL and I’ll take the mobile QB if the QBs discussed are in the same ballpark Reverse it with a good OL
  13. PJ completed 70% of his passes in his NFL start. would have been 79% if you factor the drops. QBR is QBR. It was what it was simply because off of two red zone throws. Which IMO were very poor play calls and positions to put PJ in (you know, back up QB making his first start). Then on top of that, as Teddy alluded to....even the first string QB was put behind the 8 ball in those scenarios. Nothing wrong with thinking PJ isn't a great QB. But he played well vs the Lions all things considered. Two things can be true.
  14. I think Lance, Mac, Fields all have potential to be on teams that win this year. Has more to do with how those teams are built than the QBs themselves. I think any 3 of those teams have potential pull a winning season without asking a lot from a QB.
  15. Trevor is in the worst spot of all the QBs. Bad supporting cast + Urban Meyer. Jets HC at least has some NFL sense to him. He gonna get Joe Burrowed this year and get broken. Jags should not have drafted Etienne with their first round pick. So dumb. They already had a cheap and promising RB coming off a great rookie year. Better off trading that pick for a offensive lineman or drafting OL talent.
  16. He had decent talent around him on O in 2019. Then they went full on tank mode in 2020.
  17. Nah, just the best dual RB threat in the NFL…who is about the take the biggest beating on the roster once games start.
  18. I know you can join a random fantasy league where you deposit an entry fee and play with yahoo. It will payout at the end if you won. But I am not sure you can actually host a league of your friends unless something has changed.
  19. maybe. I have watched it a thousand times. It's just horrible. I have a new take every time because I key in on someone else that failed miserably. other TE is Ian Thomas. He didn't get knocked backed as much as he was just easily shoved down to the ground using his own momentum.
  20. Gotcha. That makes a lot more sense lol. Dopp must by a NY Jets fan. Hard to not have him ranked. Teddy finished I think the 19th fantasy QB. And that was without CMC's magic inflating his numbers.
  21. Do they have Matthew Stafford as the 21st ranked fantasy QB? or is there another Matthew that I am not thinking of?
