  1. They have been getting preseason reps though Chemistry and time working beside guys matters on the OL. Brian Burns I think commented about how their is still a speed difference between practice and preseason games.
  2. Being hurt all preseason isn’t helping Reggie. Not sure what his injury really is. Rhule called it chronic issue. Whatever that means.
  3. 89 being weird throwing that Richardson line in there. he is out of it IMO
  4. definitely think Rhule errored by keeping this OL out of earlier preseason work. Steeler backups pretty much held the O in check until time nearly expired at the half. I completely forgot when they finally completed a drive that made them look decent….it was against the backup defense.
  5. Marshall Jr is a beast. My favorite pick of this draft.
  6. Everything has been short all night. 89 commented in the first quarter how the D was already figuring out that tendency. it doesn’t matter if it is completed.
  7. Rhule should at least play the starting OL. I’m fine with him sitting Darnold and the WRs at this point. OL needs the reps. It all starts there.
  8. Watch Rhule gonna pull them now. D puts it on the 15 and Marshall does all the work to get Sam a TD. Rhule probably will take that offensive victory and call it a night Marshall is a bad dude though. Gonna be good.
  9. It’s still 2nd and 3rd stringers blowing our O up. Vanilla play calling or not. That’s them getting beat on the basics.
  10. These guys needed reps before tonight. OL clearly needs all the work they can get. and these are backups giving our O problems.
  11. Sam’s doing pretty well. But he is playing like they advised he has done all camp. It’s just about 10 yards or less he is looking… would like to see him try to drive it downfield. 89 keeps saying guys are there. run blocking looks worrisome. Would like to see more success up front vs backups.
  12. He found employment with another team. So while horrible…I give the nod to folks who couldn’t even manage that.
  13. as Darin Gannt says.... Cam Newton makes people stupid. Hate or love Gantt, he has never been so on point with anything like he is with that.
  14. Eli Manning was an average QB. .500 record as a NFL starter. His name just happens to be Manning had some incredible luck in the playoffs.
  15. Doesn’t the bolded largely apply to all 3 though? Would that not describe Rhule’s overall college experience?
  16. Well, they aren’t college coaches. I wasn’t alluding to them being able to go college. But Ron and Fox are the NFL variant IMO. You could give them the worst team in the NFL. Give them 3-4 years. And it would be respectable IMO.
  17. We went to two NFCCGs and 1 SuperBowl 4 years in with Hurney. And Hurney was active in FA and brought in key pieces to go along with his drafts. There were no bad contracts to bitch about. No overinvesting in RBs to bitch about. Everything you hate about him hadn't happened yet. Early Marty Hurney was most definitely praised in places like this. And frankly, deserved at the time.
  18. how was Hurney viewed around 2005? 4 years in, Hurney had a fantastic reputation in places like this. You don't really know a guy, until you know a guy. We don't know Fitts.
  19. Teddy under Joe Brady best comp % most passing yards most passing TDs most rushing yards most rushing TDs Individually, Joe Brady gave Teddy the best season of his career.
  20. I think there is actually a lot of Fox/Ron in Matt Rhule. all 3 would be great coaches to pull a team out of the gutter and put together something stable. Are any of them more than that? That would be the question and I don't think there is an answer yet.
