There is one of two ladies in the stands arguing from this week too. Not a physical fight. Panther lady too calm and cool for that nonsense. So she pretends to have male genitalia and….***** *****. Edit - dang you censor!!

The O did nothing for 3 quarters Sunday except be a liability. and the D gift wrapped the Philly for the team pretty early. The D isn’t the issue. But if you have bad offense for most of the game….you can’t realistic count on your D to shutdown your opponent (if they have good O). It’s asking too much. O and D impact each other. Our D isn’t hanging our O out to dry.

We had no offense for the first 3 quarters. Bad offense leads to bad defense. Through 3 quarters we probably averaged 50 yards a quarter….with more turnovers than TDs by the offense as we entered the 4th.

I don’t think Sam Darnold is a gunslinger. I think he is merely a good overall athlete that isn’t a good QB. Some have called him a gunslinger…and used that interchangeably with the fact he makes bonehead decisions. Tyrod is better than Sam. It’s not Tyrod being overrated or anyone else. It’s Sam being overrated. And he looks exactly like the dude who played in NY to date. He isn’t even on pace for his best season….that’s how you know he is the same dude. And all his primary issues existed before NY touched him.

Daniel Jones played Sunday. They are missing Barkley and WRs. Now a LT. Not sure the timetable on their skill position guys. Guess we will have to wait and see.

PFF: Panthers go from easiest schedule to date to now hardest
CRA replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
but with the Falcons being divisional you can almost disregard their struggles. Those likely be standard divisional games. Same with Saints (they won't be the team we saw in Carolina). We basically have the Giants and Phins. Everything else is divisional or a tough matchup. -
Sam has turned the ball over in literally every game he has played in Carolina but 1. And in the one game he didn't turn it over...he put the ball on the ground multiple times (in Carolina territory). Currently, running a nice 3 game streak of at least 2 turnovers per game. I mean, you don't stay a .500 team with Sam Darnold either. Darnold is a Kyle Allen, Henicke, PJ, etc. Same tier QB.

I just don't like the language. I think it overstates what he did. He took bad teams and got them out of the gutter. Which is certainly noteworthy. But overall, we don't collectively refer to that program building. Building programs implies more IMO than what Rhule did. It is building an org up for sustained success. There aren't a lot of legit program builders. There are a lot of coaches who achieve temporary success. and it's why I always equate Rhule to Fox and Rivera. They all play a brand of football that is good to bring to a horrible team.

I think Sam is on pace for his second best season of his career. His best season still being the last time NY actually tried to win with him.

Bridgewater(2020) vs. Darnold(2021) through 6 games.

could be per snap. But earnings over a career, what Sam Bradford did is insane. He was the last of those mega rookie deals that no longer exist. -

Brock is an amateur pickpocket vs Sam Bradford. Sam pocketed 130 million. Brock didn't even reach half of that. -

No man stole more money in NFL history than Sam Bradford. -
Rhule's college resume is one conference title. One. What exactly did he build his programs into? that tagline continues to be overstated and overrated IMO. Rhule took teams that really sucked....and got them to where they didn't really suck by playing John Fox/Rivera football. He wasn't a Dabo Sweeney, Saban, Chip Kelly, Spurrier, etc. He didn't build any program into a powerhouse that withstood the test of any period of any time.

I don't dislike Darnold. I disliked making him our starting QB and the only plan. And all this was obvious. You think you can fix him? Have it. I endorsed that early on. But you don't do what we did. You throw him on your roster and make him depth. Maybe let him compete in an actual competition....and see what you can do with him. You don't make him the one and only plan. if at the end of the year Sam is clearly the same Sam we have always seen. What is the point of rolling with him past this year? That seems unnecessary. And just wasted time. -

What's the point? Well, to an extent it is just rearranging the chairs on the Titanic. and again, no one is claiming PJ Walker is the answer here. I guess the real point of inserting him...would just be officially ending the delusion that Sam Darnold potentially is. And it would force us to address QB again. Instead of risking the odds of rolling into another season with Sam starting for us. So to me it isn't about PJ at all. It's about forcing this team off Sam and not letting the mistake continue into next year. and if we lose the next 2 I will officially hold that position. Probably even if we go 1-1 over the next two games. Sam is what he is. He is a backup QB and I think there are backups in the NFL who might be better than him. -

If a D gives up zero points in the NFL….the O is part of that equation. point remains, PJ is more a lateral move than anything. He isn’t going to tank us vs trotting Sam out there. Sam isn’t in some wildly different tier. PJ completed 70% of his passes and would have been near 80% of his passes if not for drops. It’s was a decent debut game. Did he have two bad throws in the red zone? Yeah, but our starter outed the team as not even letting him get the reps needed there. And one of the playcalls on one was horrific for a guy making his first NFL start. again, I am not under the illusion PJ is anything more than a backup. But that’s is what Sam is. That’s the point. And PJ isn’t Jimmy Clausen. He doesn’t implode your ability to compete vs what else we have trotted out there in recent years. Because none of them should be starting. It’s a lateral move at the end of the day. if Sam had a PJ Lions game….the Sam fanboys would be peacocking around and using it as an example that Sam can play. Joe Brady just bashed for those horrible redzone calls...and all the attention on everything minus 2 throws. I mean, Sam was praised for the Jets game, in case there is any doubt. -
Yes, but you don’t go from horrible and rebuild mode to magically being contenders. You build into being a good football team inbetween that. And this staff isn’t on pace to even start addressing the OL/QB until year 3. Which again, takes time. It’s a poor schedule/plan.

Yet you could of always said they same thing about Sam though… thats the rub. Going to PJ isn’t actually a tank move. It’s more of a lateral move. There is a reason we skunked the Lions 20-0. We have played a lot of bad teams of late….and yet never pulled off a game like that. PJ isn’t going to come in and prevent us from having a shot at any team we wouldn’t have with Sam. Ever since Cam’s injury…every QB is of the same tier we have watched play here. Different strengths and weaknesses. But all the same tier. Draft status years ago….is being used to argue somehow Sam is different. -
I don’t think it takes 3 years to put together a good football team in the NFL….if you hire the right people. now to be be legit contenders? Yes. It takes time. we should IMO look better than we do overall on offense. We are have done a poor job IMO when it comes to the most important aspects of building a team. OL and QB. And you have to start there day 1. At the current pace and we just going to start addressing it in year 3. That’s a poor plan.

That’s what he did to DJ to open up the came. Was throwing him into the S. and then you end up with WRs knowing Sam isn’t good enough to protect them. Which is what Tom Brady talks about. Darnold didn’t have a good game and he was a contributing factor in some for the drops. Not all. But clearly some. Especially 2 of DJ’s.
