We have a top 5 D and CMC. I mean, I don’t know if we are actually in a win now mode. But we are in….you can’t actually really suck and get away with it area given what we got.

Darnold isn’t tradable

Well, Sam and Cam aren’t comparable. Darnold has been the worst QB in the NFL over the last 4 years. Cam was MVP, took us to the SB and even while not in his prime now, he still has a unique skill set no other QB has.

I think we could get through WFT, Miami and Atl and stack 3 in a row. That would give us a winning record. Saints is realistic. Bills lost to the Jags. So even they can be beat. Tampa just a horrible matchup though. You basically have to just drop back and pass on them. We don’t have the OL for the gameplan needed there.

Well, I think everyone likes Sam. He is like Joey Slye. Good dude. Bad at football.

Yeah, nflpanthers07. That’s the Delhomme video guy. Glad someone picked up on his work. Keeps getting better. I already showed my son the coming home vid. He was hype. He basically turned his back on Carolina when Cam left.

I think he can. The zone read concepts actually can help a weak OL too. I don’t think it will be pretty at first but Cam and CMC paired with this D. That can work. The greatest tragedy will be that stretch of Philly, NY and NE. Even the most average QB play wins those games for us. Especially two of them. Think that will be what costs this team.

Well, we agree on that. I hope Tepper is actually on board to make Cam work. And isn’t looking to give Tepper a “well, your guys didn’t work either” lesson. outside of red zone, I wouldn’t want to see Cam until Washington. But I want him in then. Even a basic game plan I am fine with.

Defense only pitches a shutout if the O helps make it happen. and I’m not ignoring the red zone picks. I just acknowledge all the rest of the game exists. and I said way pack them. That first pick is equally on Joe Brady. Horrific play design in the red zone to ask that if a guy making his first NFL start. Other all on PJ. PJ isn’t good. But the effort to discredit what was a good game by a backup QB is just junk. Was then. Is now.

That would be Rhule doing Cam dirty and sticking it to Tepper IMO. Starting that is. You could roll him out in the red zone I guess to pound it in.

Those aren’t even Mike White numbers we talking about. That shouldn’t of happened either. best a bad QB looks is the first couple starts he is trotted out there. We see that over and over.

He completed 70% of his passes in his lone start and the WRs had more yardage with him than any other game in the Matt Rhule era. People act like PJ is Clausen. He isn’t. He is super aggressive. I mean with his play style it could happen.

I think if PJ actually beat AZ WITH a good game by the QB. PJ would get another week. And that would be the correct call. I mean there is a locker room of guys and some of them know PJ better than Cam. That’s a bad message to send to not put him back out. But you probably have Cam red zone plays put in and trot him out of we get close.

I doubt Cam is going to roll in like he is King of the Castle with his recent journey. And Cam never lead the D. It had tons of leaders. That’s never been his turf.

That was weak. They trotted out only Shaq and DJ. Two dudes who are going to say all the right things a coach would want in this moment.

Joe Brady was already running Sam and Sam ain’t a runner. But I suspect the OL will look similar to what Bill did in NE with Cam. Run and play to the D. A conservative O with a power run QB mixed in. And with this D and OL….that’s a smart play IMO.

Panthers should post that. there have been some guys around here really good at that. It’s not up anymore but the guy who did the Jake Delhomme tribute to to the Killers song is still my favorite.

Nah. Debut should be at home. Playing him vs AZ is just doing him dirty IMO. Give PJ AZ. Cam debuts at home. Give him at least a real week. He hasn’t played all season and this is a new O.

The problem is….we didn’t have Cam vs Philly, NYG and NE.

Well, he already has chemistry with CMC and DJ. just comes down to the playbook. Given Brady is a college guy? I would think they can make a simple game plan for the WFT game. Some RPO stuff that gives the simple plan some options.

That all depends on what the question is….
