They aren’t even close to the best team in the NFL without Kyler and Nuk on the field. and what is this nonsense about McCoy lol
-
I don’t think it is a poo team. We have had the NFL worst QB imploding us. we have the #2 D in the NFL right now. That gift wrapped a bunch a games for us and we still gave it away. Largely because Sam couldn’t do basics the last 5 weeks.

Matt Rhule.

If Cam is simply 2020 Cam. That is a good pairing with this D and team.

Still have a big game Sunday...what are the keys?
CRA replied to TheMaulClaw's topic in Carolina Panthers
I remember Sam clausening our team the last 5 weeks. Say what you want about PJ. Clausening ain't his game. Rule out the the chance of the upset if you like. But not this guy. Not on the week we saw Cam Newton return. -

to my knowledge, Murray and Nuk have been out all week. They both missed last week's game. That's why we have a shot at the upset. -

Not turning the ball over. Some average offense. With the AZ injuries pending no surprises the D should be able to take it to that O. If we can control PJ's aggressive throws. I think we have a shot. And I still think he should take some shots. But where you greenlight that matters. -

PJ is simply easier and more fun to root for than a Sam or even a Will Grier. Think @Mage sums the why part up perfectly above. Hoping whatever has to happen does....so that I can show up and give you all the Lavar Ball gif you deserve late Sunday. -
that was surprisingly worth the quick visit

and Cam hits you with the Keep Pounding at the end. Nice.

Cam won 7 last year with NE....and that roster was comically bad. It was a weak roster that was then hammered by COVID holdouts on top of that. I mean, NE Cam would have had this version of the Panthers at the top of the NFC if he was here from the jump. It's still amazing the offense was bad enough to lose some of those giftwrapped games the D gave us.

guessing it would take too much attention away from things right now. Think that was the point of putting Shaq out there to start stuff off. In house, they are trying to pull an uspet to help stay in this thing. So there is something to the team rallying around PJ and not Cam in the present moment. I would assume early next week Cam gets thrown out there. Plus, you can put him out there next week and then have him play some maybe I'll start this week and maybe I won't. Not that it really helps that week. I mean, Ron knows Cam better than any other coach so I it isn't much of a monkey wrench to have that unknown hanging out there

I think with no input from Joe Brady....this front office could of easily thought Teddy made sense if they wanted to be done with Cam. So you take Cam away and ask this front office to then look around for a band-aid? Well, that was Teddy. That wouldn't be a unique Joe Brady take IMO. Matt Rhule knew he had limited time and he knew Teddy knew the system he was going to run. Joe Brady isn't a Rhule guy. Snow is a Rhule guy. There just hasn't been any indication IMO that Brady has any real pull here. We know Snow does. I don't think it makes a lot of sense to believe a random first time OC that Rhule doesn't even know.....dictated how the foundation of the Matt Rhule era kicked off.

Yes. If he plays well you bring him back. You then draft a kid. Let him learn behind Cam. Obviously you don't give Cam a mega deal. But you pay him very well in short increments. Basically what we should of done this whole time. Kept Cam. Paid him well on shorter contracts as we monitored his health. Drafted Fields. Fields learns behind Cam in an offense that would have already been slanted to what you would want to do with Fields.

This Sunday.. Tight Game.. We're on the goal line........

Cam Newton is still the best 4th and 1 call in the NFL. That's over anyone. -

Give how tough the redzone is. How important it is. And how tough that area is for PJ. I don't see why you wouldn't have a Cam package vs AZ. I mean you could make it two plays. Some type of RPO with CMC and a then some type of QB power play. -

Where is this 'win now' mentality coming from?
CRA replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
We have the #2 ranked defense. And we managed that while playing horrific offense. Which is an amazing feat. what do you want to call our defense if not top 5? I wasn’t even talking playoffs. I’m just saying you can’t really have CMC and a top 5 D and suck badly….and just get away with it. If your QB play is that bad that it implodes that to a 5 win season….well, that is a front office imploding a season IMO. Most teams in the NFL have 2 QBs better than Sam. Front office has more than just egg on its face. -

I don’t think I we can lump Teddy and Sam as the same type mistakes. I mean what they did going all in on Sam is a completely different level than the Teddy thing IMO. Teddy helped get the new system installed and running in a COVID world. He was at least competent. Team always competitive. We probably have a winning season right now with him still here. The all in on Sam thing really isn’t forgivable in the way Teddy was. Just mind boggling what they were thinking there.
