Then please post where our D ranks in pts allowed kind sir. Our D is 19th in points allowed https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team/_/view/defense/table/passing/sort/totalPointsPerGame/dir/asc 19th is the bottom half of the league. 32 teams. But I am open to look at whatever info you got that is counter to that
-
We technically are #2 in yards allowed. But we are ranked in the bottom half of the league in points allowed. Which makes us not a top defense.
-
No OC is winning with Sam and this OL and no good OC is coming to work for a lameduck HC that doesn’t belong in the NFL. It’s a one year gig which you are likely to be scapegoated and fired right before Rhule is canned.

The defense can rush the passer. Same as last year. Better at it than last year. But they are one trick ponies. they basically feasted on bad QBs and pass offenses when it gets predictable IMO. we benefited from a weak schedule of opposing QBs IMO. Brady, Allen and Dak all lead teams to over 30+ points on us. Even the Vikings with Cousins pulled of 30+. * now, granted they had no offense at times to help them. Which makes their job hard. So they are good. No doubt if paired with a real offense. But this wasn’t a top 5 Panther D. Too weak vs the basic run game.

Original said The fanbase also seems to back Rhule, as the crowd was cheering for Rhule at the last home game and fans were even chanting that a Charlotte Hornets game this past week. that really is quite the “typo” that spellcheck didn’t catch. Just an alternate universe. Maybe Dr Strange opened up a multiverse or something.

It’s not complicated. If you ask a player to go on record…..they defend their coach. You can’t put anything in that. if Trevor Lawerence was standing at a podium while coached by Urban….he said good things. That what you do. Doesn’t make it true. It wasn’t. Trevor just saying what he had to say. Urban could of been back. So Urban is nothing but good publicly while he is now power if a name is on it
-
If Rhule is back I’m not buying a seat to a single game. No merch. Nothing. No money going into this nightmare. Same for soccer. Only way fans can communicate. I’m totally cool with building and not winning while that happens. There just isn’t an argument for that happening with Matt Rhule. Wasted time. I’m fine being a general NFL fan for awhile. Fantasy sports, betting and all that already make that easy anyway. I’ll follow Carolina as that is my team. But from afar.

Article is now changed The fanbase has shown impatience with the head coach, as the crowd was cheering "Fire Rhule" at the last home game and fans were even chanting that a Charlotte Hornets game this past week.
-
That’s an embarrassing article. Even for Newton. Cheering for Matt Rhule? They even had Fire Matt Rhule T shirts on. And basically every local news outlet has covered the boo and fire chants at BoA and the Hornets game.

Panthers Bringing back Rhule. Planning to start OC search next week
CRA replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, I won’t be paying customer next season. No reason to bring Rhule back outside of Tepper’s ego refusing he made an obvious mistake. Tepper well on his way to being one of the biggest joke owners in the NFL. yes, Rome wasn’t built in a day. But Rhule is a storm chasing roofer. Not an architect. He ain’t building poo. He is a poor game day manager. Bad X and O guy at the NFL level. Bad talent evaluator at this level. Bad leader of men. He is a college coach and this whole thing is going just a predictable with Rhule as it did Darnold. -

Yeah, it’s a very specific audience. But that hits hard. So good. -
After thinking about it, if I were Tepper I would probably keep Rhule
CRA replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
and when year 3 of Rhule goes just as predictable as making Sam Darnold our starter did…..Tepper will end up looking worse than if he admitted the mistake now. -

It’s actually surprising who is on there. Everyone from Trey Lance, Zeke Elliot to Joe Montana. It’s basically free money. -
AB clearly has no one around him that cares or that has the ability to help him. Dude is a trainwreck. Seems like a ticking timebomb.

Outside of watching my children being born….that might be the greatest thing these eyes have ever seen. I mean that is freaking hilarious. 10/10. Will watch again. -
I tried to listen to a couple minutes. AB just painful to listen to.

Panthers taking offers for Cmac in the off-season

Zeke has 900+ rushing yards in 20 and 21. Paying all that money to Zeke....and Tony Pollard easily has the ability to be a 1000k RB. He frankly looks like the better overall RB IMO. I like Zeke's pass protection and he still runs hard. But Tony Pollard is the scary guy that can take it to the house. RBs outside their rookie deals getting hurt matters. It matters CMC gets hurt. Take Mixon, what if his next season looks exactly like his 2020? And Henry's looks like his 2021? I'm not saying toss them in the trash. I don't think MLBs are garbage. But I don't think have the same value as in prior eras. RBs simply have to be revaluated in today's NFL. In terms of how much teams are willing to finanically invest in them. They used to be primary pay guys because the offense ran through them back in th eday. Offenses don't run through them anymore and it is easy to find guys who can run in the modern NFL pending you have an OL. The NFL is going to keep trending toward the pass as it has. -
I don't think DJax is that good of a DB to overpay. Outside of half a season....he has been pretty pedistrian IMO. Let Horn and CJ be your guys and keep adding new and young talent at DB. Not saying CJ has to be the corner in 4 years. DJax to me doesn't fit the rebuild mindset. He is like a Robby Anderson. Don't overpay okay guys. It's not hard to find a DJax caliber DB.
-
all depends on what we are. Are we rebuilding? I think if we are rebuilding you let Gilmore and Jackson walk in all honesty. You got Horn and CJ. Those being your DBs makes the most sense. And while they aren't Gilmore....we are rebuilding. Gilmore is a win now player. We frankly makes little sense to even have him this season if we are rebuilding. That time would really be better served to be repping someone we hope to grow for the long term.

From Carolina Blitz. Should the Panthers fire Rhule

this X1000 Matt Rhule isn't rebuilding. Fans would in large been totally ok with a HC that came in and wanted to build this thing slowly from the ground up. But Matt Rhule hasn't spent the last 2 seasons doing that. The arguement to keep Matt Rhule is basically, well, Matt Rhule fugged around for 2 years and now we are going to give him the opporutnity in year 3 to start what he was suppose to be doing in year 1.
