  1. you talking about the negotiator of the Robbie Anderson contract?
  2. Jets are the smarter play than Carolina and I don’t think it is close. They have a young QB they just drafted. and will be adding 2 more top 10 picks in the draft. They also own 2 second round picks. All 9 of their picks are in the top 5 rounds. That’s a lot of new good talent they could add and the rookies are often some of the best Hard Knock story lines. if the angle is young rebuilding team? Jets > Carolina. We basically have a lame duck HC, one draft pick in the top 100 and Sam Darnold as our QB.
  3. We have the worst QB and HC combo in the division with no OL.
  4. Well his twin brother that goes up and speaks at Panther pressers isn’t a natural salesman. that dude is a nervy, yammering, bullshit guy that can’t sell anything once questioned.
  5. Jerry Jones probably at Sean's house right now. I still don't think he has told his coach he is safe yet has he?
  6. In 3 years with Peyton Manning, John Fox's worst record was 12-4. It's been a QB league for some time. I think we see that over and over again. Payton without an elite QB like Brees would have been fired long ago. At least Pete Carroll can speak the truth.
  7. David Tepper really has screwed this whole thing up. This is all a prime window
  8. Payton retiring? Or just leaving the Saints to go to a team better situated to win?
  9. any vet that is good would only be coming here to be overpaid IMO. Why else would you come here. Or have some local tie where you are basically signing up to make life better for your family. You basically are signing up for the end of a lameduck and then a new HC's rebuild.
  10. Specially Akers who just came back. If it wasn’t for his multiple fumbles. The game isn’t even close.
  11. No worries. We got Sam Darnold. Basically a rookie. Now that he isn’t on the Jets he will surely flourish. It’s the JayZ model. Gotta remember the JayZ model. Just more time is needed.
  12. If the draft charts mean anything….a future 2nd and 3rd isn’t enough to move up for the 26th. So it would cost more. That makes me a hard no on continuing to trade draft capital
  13. Ok. But I am not arguing that he isn't referencing Martz in that comment. He easily could be. I also think there are two separate things at play. 1. Prioritizing scheme over personnel (which Martz is a textbook example of with Olsen). 2. HCs that allow great players to go off script and adapt as they see it in game. I think Greg is clearly referencing #2 and the pros it. I know Martz is guilty of #1. Maybe he is guilty of #2 and not allowing that too.
  14. wonder how many years he got
  15. Martz prioritized scheme over personnel. No doubt about that. The Bears publicly acknowledged that mistake once Olsen did historical things here. They should of altered their scheme once the best receiver became the TE. Instead they stuck with the scheme and traded the TE.
  16. I mean, he is talking about a lot more than one coach. He is talking about head coaching in general. What he views as positive. Maybe he is talking about Martz with that one line. He isn't just talking about Martz though in his point. Just like he isn't talking about just Andy Reid. Or just talking about his staff in Carolina. What side of the equation do you think Matt Rhule falls on? The guy who has been criticized for wanting to be too hands on with every aspect. That blasted him former MVP publicly for taking a built in audible. A coach who had opposing defenses running the WR routes for the WRs all year long? I'd say Matt Rhule doesn't trend toward the side of head coaching that Olsen is praising.
  17. I do not think this is the Matt Rhule way.
  18. Greg is talking about a coaching type though. Ones that presently exist in today's NFL. He might not be directly talking about Matt Rhule. Matt Rhule certainly seems to be the type coach Greg would be referencing in general though.
  19. I'd say Greg is probably pretty in tune with what Matt Rhule is doing here given his Carolina connections. Plus, he knows what Cam really thinks about this joke shop. and I think it was reported early that one of Rhule flaws was wanting to be too in control of every aspect of things. So even if Greg isn't specifically talking about Rhule with the line of not telling....it sounds like Rhule is that type HC he is referring too. For example, Rhule threw Cam hard under the bus for merely taking the built in audible on that 4th and 1 play. Per Rhule, that should of never happened. A vet and former MVP that knows short yardage as good as anyone....should of never audibled in that scenario per Rhule. And it was built into the freaking play. That just screams what Greg is talking about IMO.
  20. Keeping Rhule leads to a pointless season. So if we keep Rhule, he should just have to roll with Sam. GM should focus on adding foundational talent in the trenches that can be here for the next HC. No reason a rebuilding team that already knows the Rhule era is a dud.....should keep burning draft picks up on pointless QBs.
  21. Cousins is pointless in the big picture. Wasted cap space, cap space we could use elsewhere trying to develop players that would have a longer lifespan here.
  22. basically this. GM should draft OL talent. Make Rhule ride or die with Sam. And Sam can ride or die with Rhule's overpaid Robby Anderson.
