  1. Basically Fitt can talk in a microphone/in front of people and doesn’t come off poorly.
  2. GM is getting a bump he doesn’t deserve strictly because Rhule has looked so horrible of late.
  3. What if you have non-ideal arm length?
  4. I think it was more Teddy just being a better QB though than Sam. 2020 Robbie existed because Sam wasn’t on the field. Teddy lacks a lot. But he offers a lot over a bad QB like Sam. Rhule botched the management of the QB spot and that will be what ends his career in the NFL. Gotta find it quick and he wasted time. Should of let Cam play out that last year of his deal and drafted a kid that year. When he messed that up he should of kept Teddy for 2 seasons and drafted a kid last year. That is what made sense for a rebuilding team. He had two windows to do it and didn’t use either one IMO. Now he is in some weird have to get wins now in year 3 to stay employed window….which I think will have high odds of Sam/PJ being played in some bad conservative scheme thinking it is the best path to squeak out a win each week. And I think he will annoy the GM to still go get Jimmy G or Baker if it gets cheaper and play them. When it should just be about seeing what we have in Corral. but even if Rhule finds a QB…I think his leadership at this level and in game management are pretty suspect. We have had suspect in game management before but the others were good leaders IMO until their times were just naturally near the end.
  5. I think Romo is the best former player they have put up in the booth
  6. Horn kinda a wash given we rented Gilmore after he went down. Who has way better than a rookie Horn would have been. but I do think Arnold was a dumb trade. Not that Arnold is great. But we lacked a quick pass option to the middle of the field after he left…..which was also a key aspect of the pass attack in 2020. we really neutered the O going from 2020 to 2021 IMO and that was by our front office. Downgraded QB. Downgraded the middle of the field pass options for the QB. I just don’t think it matters. If you start Sam Darnold you are going to lose no matter what you do elsewhere. And we did.
  7. I go back and forth on the CMC factor. we have seen a fully healthy CMC play lights out for an entire season (2019)….and it still only resulted in 5 wins when paired with weak QB play. So does he really win us more games last year? Or do we just have the best fantasy football player and it doesn’t actually translate to wins.
  8. Your exact words “Rhule had no talent, and no QB” Rhule inherited Cam, CMC, Moore, Moton, Burns, Jackson, Samuel, Shaq, etc. So either he did inherit talent and your statement was nonsense….or you think those guys aren’t talented.
  9. You called Cam, CMC, Moore, Moton, Burns, Samuel, Jackson, Shaq, etc talentless. That’s nonsense so I called you on it.
  10. Fox took over a 1-15 Chris Weinke Panthers that was coming off a 15 game losing streak. Rhule inherited Cam -was talented enough to win 7 games with the worst roster in the NFL. More importantly, his franchise best leadership to get whatever you wanted up and running. Rhule opted to kick him to the curb. CMC - best RB in the NFL DJ Moore - was already sleeping walking to 1000+ yards with no QB play plus a bunch of young recently talented guys like Burns, Moton, Samuel, Jackson, Shaq Offensively, Matt Rhule inherited a better gig than Fox did.
  11. Maybe Ron did inherit a slightly better mess. That’s not really the point. Singling out Ron. . Capers, Fox and Ron all inherited comparable messes…..and weren’t jokes at the conclusion of year 2. There was something being built. Direction. Improvement. Belief. and I do agree that Rhule wouldn’t be married into a mindset like a Spurrier, Kelly, etc. I mean there innovation is what got them the jobs though and to see them give it a whirl at the next level. So I don’t think they compare well to Rhule. But it just brings me back to what are waiting on Rhule to show at this level? What’s the NFL equivalent of his college success?
  12. I mean, I still think his college resume is greatly overblown too. a lot of really great college coaches just don’t work at the next level. GOATs of collegiate eras we are talking about. But Rhule was never a top tier college coach. He wasn’t known for innovation, offense or really anything of note. And he didn’t dominate small time college ball either. Somehow this program builder mantra started….but I don’t think Rhule is a noteworthy program builder in college football. Taking a team that is bad and making them respectable is an accomplishment. He did do that. But he didn’t hang around long and he never really made them anything outside of respectable.
  13. End of year 2 (final quarter of the season) Capers: 3-1 as they went into the postseason Fox: 3-1 as they went into the postseason Rivera: 4-0 Rhule: 0-4 (finishing off a 7 game losing streak) One of these things is unlike the others.
  14. Again, Capers, Fox, and Rivera. overall, all walked into bad spots. I’m not the one trying to rank them. Rhule is the only one who had no identity or direction after two years. 89 wasn’t the identity of what Carolina was doing down the Ron path and what he was building.
  15. I mean, you aren’t even reading the posts you reply to lol. who was Capers’? Who was Fox’s? They all inherited a mixed batch. Rhule didn’t inherit some uniquely bad situation vs the other 3. Capers, Fox and Ron simply had success in building early on that Rhule hasn’t. They already had to gut his entire coaching staff 3 years in. No identify. No direction after 2 years. Can’t say that about the other guys.
  16. Corral would benefit from having a legit vet In the QB room with him. I think the GM is open to that. But that’s a teaching body. Film room. Etc. I think Matt Rhule has wanted and does want a vet he could play week 1 and this season (Baker)
  17. Every coach inherited a different batch/mix lol. Capers and Fox didn’t inherit an 89 either. Only Ron did. *89 was just a returner. That’s what Fox inherited to date. Fox opted to put him on a path for success and 89 was birthed under Fox’s tenure. If Rhule inherited a crazy little punt returner he probably would be talking about ideal WR size him not having it… and playing Robby over 89 and it never happening.
  18. No, this is just you making up a bad take and projecting it out…..because you have chosen to take a stand on a bad hill in regards to Rhule. Capers, Fox and Ron all came into bad situations just like Rhule. Rhule is only unique in the fact he hasn’t done diddly.
  19. Ron went to the playoffs 4 times in 5 years. That’s pretty good window. Fox went to the NFCCG 2 times in a 3 year span. I think sometimes the no back to back winning season thing can get a tad overplayed. I mean you can find teams that pulled off back to back winning seasons in those windows above….and they were less successful in reality than Carolina.
  20. Rhule inherited the #7 overall pick. He also had 3 total picks in the top 2 rounds. Rivera only had the Cam pick. Nothing else in the top 2. Rhule had better overall draft capital that first season in reality simply because of where his picks were. Ron’s pick clearly was a grand slam. But he opted to do that. That was a Ron move. He could of gone the Matt Rhule route. He opted not to. Cam was not a no brainer. It was gamble and risky pick. Rhule inherited freaking Cam Newton. Probably the greatest leader in franchise history. He tossed him to the side. That’s on Rhule. And Cam had enough gas that year to go on to win 7 games with the actual worst roster in the NFL. He also inherited CMC. Best RB in the NFL. DJ Moore who can sleep walk to 1200 yards with me throwing him the football. Moton. Jackson. Shaq. Basically leadership and talent at every level. Ron, Fox and Capers all walked into poo too. All inherited teams that at most won 2 games. None walked into the door with a leader like Cam Newton or a talent like CMC. Only Rhule had that. Coming off Fox/Rivera we were due a lemon. We we got it. Rhule is clueless. And we don’t need to give him a half decade to get a clue.
  21. Cam actually looked really good In his first start especially factoring everything in. He carried that momentum from AZ to Charlotte. But the D couldn’t handle Heinike. And it took Matt Rhule a half of football and getting abused to realize Gilmore should be on the one good WR.
  22. Question becomes…is Matt Rhule building anything? 5 year rebuild still means very important steps get made over the first two seasons. We have no identity. Nothing to show after after 2 years. He might be making plea to Tepper about remembering the deal. But I’d say Rhule hasn’t upheld his part of that process to date.
  23. Capers, Fox and Rivera all got to the postseason by year 3. None of those 3 inherited better situations than Matt Rhule. And none of them had teams that consistently got worse as the season went on each year. Well, at the end of their tenures. Which is why it was the end.
  24. Only took 2 years to win a Grammy after his debut album. Rhule made his debut in 2020. Jay Z was a superstar by now.
  25. Matt Rhule would be gone midseason if we started 0-7 or 1-6. Fitt put together a staff that could handle the entire Baylor squad walking all together. Rhule was being boo’d out of Charlotte last season until Cam saved his job. And that is exactly what that PR stunt did.
