  1. Oh I wasn’t implying it hasn’t always existed. It has. Bama had mastered the old system for example. Which basically what this Saban/Jimbo beef is IMO. The new version? Well someone like A&M does have new advantages now. Which he isn’t happy about. Now it’s more cash. A lot more. And they don’t really have to hide it. They just use the NIL cover.
  2. The NIL in theory is good. But what presently exists at big schools now isn’t really that. It’s just pay for play. With a lot more cash and not in secret. NIL does need some work.
  3. Saban didn’t even accuse Jimbo, the players, etc of doing something illegal or wrong. Jumbo’s rant was against an accusation that wasn’t actually made. LOL. Jimbo is just mad Saban outed what the wealthiest college did and what is going to continue to happen. And Jimbo is going to want it to stay that way for him to reap the benefits. Saban wants the rules/NIL changed.
  4. Sam Darnold is basically the WR that runs a 4.2 at the combine yet can't really run routes or catch well. Yet instead of him disappearing quitely out of the league..... they keep putting him back out on the field depsite it being extremely clear he isn't actually good at football at this level. I mean, there is actually no purpose of Sam Darnold being on our roster at this point.
  5. if you hadn't eaten in 3 days...you would probably get hype over a random box of rasins you found. that's kinda how things are in Carolina world of late. Minshew is exciting....after watching Sam Darnold.
  6. Teddy is basically Tyrod though. They both have basically the exact same edge over him in the W/L department and TD/INT department. I know hating Teddy is hip here. And he isn't good. But he is still better than Sam Darnold.
  7. I mean the Tyrod thing is pretty weird. Maybe he is factoring his recent health. I guess that could make sense. He clearly should be above Sam Darnold based on careers to date. Tyrod has a winning record as a starter and pretty much better everything statisically.
  8. Michigan was in the college football playoffs last season. Harbaugh just signed a 5 year contract extension 2 months ago. Michigan beat Ohio St and Penn St last year. Just pulled the #5 QB per rivals from the 2021 class.
  9. but again, props to the social media team. I'm sure that young lady that left was underpaid. Followers on social media apparently was the 2nd metric that went into it. but if anyone walked into Arrowhead and then walked into BOA lol
  10. also in regards to Wilson finding success. Seattle was a top 5 rushing offense in each of his first 3 seasons. Seattle's D was also top 10 in points allowed in each of his first 3 seasons. Success and development so often is, situation > talent
  11. Need more legit pass catchers to compete vs the good teams too. Can’t just be DJ Moore. You can’t keep pace with other teams with just DJ. Need to add legit pass catching help whether that is via TE or WR Imagine if DJ Moore missed time. The perceived best WR for the Super Bowl champs wwas Robert Woods heading into the season last year. He ended up missing the season. The Rams were a QB away. We aren’t even close to a roster (minus QB) like that.
  12. Chelsea refuses to play on turf. So Tepper is putting it down just so they they will come play. That’s it. Then the grass goes away after Chelsea.
  13. well, that's not what he meant by doing more for than the community. He means maximizing what he offers to the community...in order to make the most money out of his investment. I mean, the most important thing to him isn't the Panthers winning. The most important thing is maximzing Tepper Sports.
  14. Matt Rhule's wife liked Chubba.
  15. hope to split w/ Atl and NO. That gives you 2 wins. Detriot. That gives you 3 wins. Then hope you pull 3 wins of these 4 - NY, Sea, AZ, Pitt. That gives you 6. But that's why the Vegas line is so good. Because of that last group of 4 teams. By taking the 6 wins you are betting you win most of the coin flip/winnable games. Everyone else is just flat out better than us pending injuries don't alter who they are. And that assumes Watson starts in Clev week 1. but yeah the opening 8 games are crucial for Matt Rhule and there isn't a lot of room for error on the couple winnable games there.
  16. Vegas knows what they are doing. That line is perfect. I wouldn't know what do with it. Gut says 6 wins though.
  17. they must not know that we got THE Ben McAdoo now.
  18. Ok. Remove CMC entirely. Pretty much like the case has been the last two seasons. That’s where this convo this starts. Loaded per Shocker: 2 RBs who are best suited to be 1st and 2nd down rushers. Not having an Abdullah style RB is a hole. Need that diverse RB and he needs to be solid at pass pro. He was the best RB last year when CMC went down. He was just late to the party. We should of had that from day one last year instead of Royce Freeman. And we basically are doing it all over again but with the Titans back this time. You are suppose to learn from mistakes not repeat them. it’s an easy hole to fill in advance. It’s little stuff like that which helps a team be successful. and if CMC were to stay healthy it would allow more downs he could go into the slot while we still have a more diverse threat in the backfield. I mean the general consensus has been to keep CMC healthy then they have to alter how we use him.
  19. Pretty sure he addresses it not long ago. Probably the presser before the draft. Basically conceded it wasn’t the best choice for football…..but he has the concerts and all that jazz made it make sense. He wants to do more than football for the community which, I mean is probably true. But it does reinforce the narrative that it isn’t about football and winning. But him just growing his wealth.
  20. Per the NFLPA, 28% higher rate of non contact lower extremity injury on turf
  21. Thanks. and I’m super hype about Corral. Icky. Horn hopefully getting a full season. Basically about seeing and watching everyone that has long term potential. I simply think we have an issue with our coaching staff and owner. And you are unwilling to accept people have that stance and that it becomes relevant in conversation.
  22. I mean, getting hype about Ben McAdoo shouldn’t really be a thing the way I look at it. Getting hype about McAdoo really speaks more about where the current leadership has taken us prior to his arrival.
  23. yet his HC tenure is stained largely by the fact his offense was painfully predictable and bad.
  24. Tepper got Garth Brooks and other stuff to worry about.
