"Best bets" article puts Panthers under 5.5 wins
CRA replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think I read the post wrong. You said make it past 7 games. I read that as wins intitially. That's where my mind got 8. You meant CMC. But yeah, I'd take the over if forced with 6. I can't get much higher. -
Even San Francisco media is tired of Checkdown Jimmy G leading the 49ers (msn.com) yeah, there is. They are both checkdown QBs that can't and don't make the throws downfield you need from a QB. That comparison has been here since Jimmy's name was very first brought up awhile back. * It's why they have almost identical career completion %.

I'd just rather get Matt Corral on the field by midseason. That seems more fruitful and has more purpose. I think adding these guys stops that from happening.

If Matt Rhule gets his hands on Jimmy G no one here is seeing Matt Corral. New season, same Panthers. The brand is basically Groundhog Day.

Jimmy is a good dude. He cares

I mean, the Rhule and Tepper hate would probably go from an 8 to a soothing 4....if there weren't Rhule and Tepper fanboys running around every day claiming the Earth is flat. kind of like here. You once again, are complaining about people complaining about Matt Rhule. Which you do over and over. Often not in response to someone actually complaining about him. Of course you do that then too. Because someone can't just say Matt Rhule sucks and you let that slide as a reality. I mean the Qanon theorist comparable isn't people saying Rhule/Tepper suck. As you say. It's those that argue they don't suck and/or have a problem w/ it being pointed out. And they insist on making that known over and over again.

I have yet to see someone take a schedule and put the actual 8 wins out there though. It would then require the Panthers pulling some big upsets IMO after basically running the table on all the close ones. -
Matt Rhule needs wins to stay employed.

and excuding somewhere like maybe Montana. Most of the maps where internet is lacking is prime college football real estate. -

If already said if I had laid money I would take the over because I am calling for 6 wins. But that line is perfect at 5.5. Hard to figure out which side of it to go. -
and Chuba can’t catch well. Foreman has 18 career catches over 4 years that’s not insurance for if CMC goes down. All it takes is one player getting hurt (CMC) and we are in a bad spot. And his history makes that an important issue.

Maybe you could supply a list of what we can and can’t talk about. so we shouldn’t talk about the roster and how we could improve in areas. Like this thread. can’t talk about our bad coaches and owner. what else?

With quality QB play. Is this roster ready to go?

Teddy largely was. He just refused to make the throws he needed to. O still has problems but Teddy not pulling the trigger on plays that existed was the primary problem that year on O. 2020 and 2021 IMO can't be lumped as the same messes/problems. -
this ranking has a similar feel to the one where Carolina earned greatest uniforms of all time.

and frankly their WRs too. Unless you just want depth and roleplayers. No one has really panned out post Keyshawn and I always thought he was overrated.

I mean they all are dirtbags. Jimbo was just accused a couple years back of sorts of stuff. Hard to rise to the ranks of the most elite college programs and not be a seedy dirtbag. Except for Dabo. And if you disagree, Dabo and I will pray for your lost soul. You're welcome. Think it actually is easier for a decent man to be NFL coach than at a top tier college program. -
the rule is often great players make bad coaches if you look at GOAT coaches that played....they normally weren't very good. If you look at GOAT players that coached...they normally sucked

QBs with weaker physical tools have gone to situations just as bad....and performed better. Sam is an athlete. Not a QB. Simple as that. Thinking you can make him one just isn't going to happen. Not when his physical tools would limit him to being a traditional pocket passer.

The college football playoff era also has gotten boring. Unless you are a fan of a handful of teams. put Bama, Clemson, OSU, ND, OU and the top 3 SEC schools in a hat. Draw names. Pull at random and you would be pretty good psychic for the final 4. -

I would think it would just help the major programs separate even further and not actually aid smaller programs. and the college football playoff era is already is coming down to just a handful of teams. I would think if the NIL doesn’t change….while the teams might change the top from what they are now, the couple teams that emerge will create even more separation. everyone hates Dabo and Saban. And a lot of it is just. But they have been making a lot of good points about NIL, the portal, etc. -

The richest school just secured the #1 recruiting class of all time….thanks to “NIL”. Yes, pay for play has always happened and yes the rich have always benefited from it in college sports. The introduction of NIL is just a new version on steroids. Therefore it gets even more extreme. Saban speaks the truth. There just happens to be some hypocrisy in it given Bama is saying it….and were one of the lead dogs of the older model. -
If Minshew isn’t better than Sam Darnold….then what measurement would someone use to make the case for Sam. statistically across the board Minshew is better and he did it with Jags.
