DJ has more receptions, receiving yards, rushing yards, first downs over the last 3 years. McLaurin more TDs, better catch % probably both underrated given the bad QB play.

Cam, Williams, 89, King

shock jock sports talk. I'd give the Seahawks HC, Owner Caroliana division Expectations are a push

Did I write him off? I said you don’t tank for a HS QB prospects. And history shows why.
-
Last year Carolina ranks as a slightly better spot. This year? You would rather be part of the Jags from a big picture perspective IMO.

Doug Pederson/Lawerence Matt Rhule/Sam Darnold and Corral I think situations are largely defined by the HC/QB combo. Which rebuild HC/QB combo would you rather be joining. Doug is a Super Bowl HC w/ a winning record. Trevor is still a legit crazy talent....who played w/ no talent as a rookie and w/ a HC that made Rhule look ok.

Jimmy Clausen and Kyle Allen were both the #1 QB prospect coming into college. * Clausen drove a white limo hummer to the college football hall of fame to announce he would be playing at Notre Dame lol.
-
David Carr is going too far back. He came out of HS about 25ish years ago.

in the last 15 years, Carolina Panthers have started 2 of the #1 overall QBs going into college. Pie for any poster who can name both without cheating on the cheat machine you will be using to answer with lol. another fun fact, not a single QB who went into college as the #1 prospect went on to a successful career as a NFL starter over the last 15 years. Lawerence and Mills have a shot to break the current streak though. Last time one panned out was a 2006 Matt Stafford.

I mean, there is a long list of the #1 HS QB not even being a good college QBs.

like what does how much money HBCUs, county sports, etc get out of the bill…..have to do with if you are okay sports gambling. Bills are never about the bills.
-
NC already runs a gambling state run lottery, allows FanDuel/Draftkings, etc. It’s just politicians using a new bill to get money for filtered into things they want.

What went wrong? The Sam Darnold Experiment (Video)

I mean, Bo Jackson and CMC are doing autographs? Might have less to do with “hate” than simply Sam isn’t in that tier of athlete to be at the 3rd table. Hell, Ickey would have looked lonely if he showed up. did you feel bad enough to go get a Sam auto? I might of if my kid was younger….he would have been just as pumped at one time for PJ Walker as Bo Jackson lol -
Not trying to compliment Richardson but he simply did the right thing in terms of being willing to walk away once he got outed. I relate it to politicians. Scandals send some packing. Some simply dig in and stay. JR probably could go fought it and dug in. Think JR selling was more about JR simply being willing than Goodell forcing it. That’s just my take.

Watson could be ruled out for the entire season today. I don’t think that really alters anything with Baker. Browns went in knowing Watson likely wouldn’t play this year. The contract speaks to that. They got Jacoby to get through this one season. Baker is done in Clev.

Vegas odds on which head coach gets fired first this season
CRA replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
A good check is a good check. It’s just work for a huge percentage of the league. Rhule being a lameduck coach doesn’t make the money somehow worth less. Article has been shared countless times. Joe Person and The Athletic. It’s a paid article but you can google and find free snippets covered elsewhere. Same one that said Tepper was embarrassed and unhappy. Same one that said players were doubting his process. Rhule was criticized for micromanaging, playing favorites, weak staffing. People in house calling it a clusterfug. Same article where Joe also correctly said Rhule still would however not be fired and that would come down to this upcoming season. 2022 is just a predictable bad marriage. You have to try not to see the writing on the wall. Matt Rhule coming out and claiming Tepper assured him the talk he was already looking at the candidates he believed would be there for 2023 was totally false lol. Matt Rhule doesn’t even believe that lie. And again, it’s also been reported he won’t be sad when this failed marriage officially ends. But they all play the game to the public. The fans are the kids they are pretending the marriage is strong for… just because that is the only play. But there is just too much smoke that all comes together on it all IMO. -

yeah, I don't think the league nor the players probably have tons of respect for Rhule in terms of being good at what he actually does. I mean, we have seen reporting on that perception. About the clusterfug perception, the lameduck stigma, etc. and we started hearing some rumblings reported on in house last year too. -

who should have the best odds? or just merely arguing taking the field is always the safest bet over any one person? -

lol, no. My arguement is that the smoke we hear from multiple NFL sources is likely largely true. Tepper is embarrased about the mess he got into with Rhule. He isn't happy. Rhule isn't happy. Tepper is already looking ahead at the next chapter. All that has been reported on by various legit folks. and Tepper created a staff this offseason that allows him to walk away from Rhule in season. Which he did. He added 2 former NFL HCs. One on O and one D. He also added a ST coach that assumed HC duties. Make a list of the top 5 coaches in Carolina today.....and none of Rhule the Baylor folks "in charge" crack it. You going to tell me it isn't a problem for an org when the boss isn't looked at as the boss by the people? Writing is on the wall. Vegas sees it. The collective NFL community sees it (they call it a clusterfug). And most Panther fans see it. Matt Rhule is a dead man walking and this is a wasted season. It is what it is. -

Defense wasn’t untouched. They inserted a well liked former NFL HC/NFL DC into the Snow defense. let’s say you bring in a random player to Carolina or asked a current vet in Carolina who is the most league wide respected coach on the defensive side of the ball right now in Carolina? staff was constructed so the entire Baylor cast could walk together. Make a top 5 list of current coaches in Carolina…..it’s a problem the Baylor cast “in charge” can’t crack it. 2022 Panthers are dysfunctional. It will show pretty early. Wasted year written all over it and everyone in house is going to know it. -

Tepper seems like the type that sees shiney X object, wants X, and then just throws cash at it. That was Rhule. That was Watson. I do think that element probably is just in his DNA. -

I think Tepper has learned a lot. And Tepper is a billionare ego guy. Its about winning and maximzing profit. That's what he is here for. He has admitted he had a lot wrong about the NFL/Panthers. He just has only shared a couple of those. I firmly believe Person is right in reporting that he believes he screwed up w/ the Rhule contract. That reporting falls in line w/ Tepper admitting he had a lot wrong...that the thought he had right. I think he is smart enough now to wait until there is a legit good coach he wants at this point.....instead of rushing to fire Rhule and taking whatever is best of the bunch avaliable at the moment. Who is out there? Retread failures? Think that is why those reports on Sean Payton emerged. I think he didn't fire Rhule yet because there wasn't someone he wanted yet. But he is looking. Tepper isn't dumb. He might not know football like he needed to. Doesn't take a rocket scienteist to see Matt Rhule isn't working at the NFL level. Don't think he is eager to just fire Rhule and be thrust into be forced to hired the best of a lot that he also doesn't want.
