  1. We can’t stop the run and we can’t rush the passer without blitzing.
  2. 54 total rushing yards - the fewest yards on the ground of the entire Matt Rhule era. *and we had a fully healthy roster/CMC #rockstarOC
  3. I mean seems like just getting clean snaps from C is to Baker would be where I would start. How many run plays did they go behind Icky? I mean that is his early strength. This staff just doesn’t seem to get stuff amateurs see. Yet they have a pass heavy game 1 plan against a team that can’t throw and leave Icky on an island. Garrett will embarrass a vet.
  4. Icky also faced his toughest task of the season week 1…with a weak gameplan for the task. I don’t think Icky is the problem. Think a good staff would have given him a full preseason of starter reps and then had a good plan for week 1.
  5. Prepared his team better going in. Had a better game plan overall. the team wasn’t ready and that is on Matt Rhule. and then at the end he gave them too much time and played it too safe. Yeah, we got screwed on that last drive but Rhule was perfectly cool creating that environment for it to happen. and there we sat at the end with a L…..and a pointless timeout in his pocket.
  6. I do. They still think it is an awesome program/job and that it is only a matter of time for them to be back. I think Rhule would be a decent hire. But he is a tough sell to an alumni base like Nebraska given how bad he has looked of late. It’s a tough sell to the alumni in a NIL world.
  7. You can’t sell the Nebraska fans/alumni on Matt Rhule. Rhule seems destined for like some mid tier ACC type school IMO.
  8. Only way to redeem bad coaching….would be with good coaching McAdoo sucks too. It’s why no one but Matt Rhule would hire him. McAdoo was decent under super micromanager and offensive minded Tom Coughlin. But when Ben McAdoo was allowed to show his true game calling he was basically blackballed from ever doing it again. No one redeemed themselves. Rhule nor McAdoo.
  9. That’s doesn’t = well coached. Browns blew coverage on the Robbie TD. That 1 play drive. That’s not an example of good coaching. Rhule went ultra conservative on the last FG because apparently he didn’t think a NFL can get in FG position with a minute (per him). That’s not an example of good coaching. It also featured another QB/C fumble. Something talked about here when the exchange issue showed in preseason when Rhule was having his QBs and C compete all season and miss out on working on that chemistry.
  10. He didn’t redeem himself lol. He has the entire 2021 season stamped with his name on it. And today was textbook horrible coaching and having his team unprepared. We deserved to lose to a not very good team and that is what happened. We are a poorly coached team and today is just one more log on that fire
  11. McAdoo was essentially run out of NY because his playcalling was horrible and no one would touch him after that.
  12. You seem to suggest it’s odd for fans to strongly dislike horrible coaching….
  13. The importance and lack of reps (specifically the QB/C exchange) was repeatedly brought in preseason when Rhule was having his pointless completions……and when we saw it was an issue in the preseason game Baker played. it’s a poorly coached/lead team
  14. This is Horn’s rookie year. He is a raw mauler. He just needs time. He didn’t get any experience last season. Two rookies making their NFL debut and a team with no coaches is all he saw. People made too much of the fact of him looking good against teams that couldn’t challenge and test him out IMO. I think he will be good in time.
  15. I’ll be back later today for the Matt Rhule threads. Y’all have “fun”.
  16. It like the Joe Brady playcalling….but way worse. AKA Matt Rhule going to do Matt Rhule things
