CMC was the actual MVP in that upset. Cam just gave us the feel good moment and stole the spotlight. In his 2 starts, the O has moved the ball. They moved it very well the other start vs the Lions. He just had 2 really dumb throws that game. But when prepped for a start the O has moved with PJ. He will make 2-3 dumb throws. It is what it is. and all my PJ Walker gimmick/fun aside…..I do believe he is relatively on par with Sam Darnold tier of QB. That’s not a compliment of PJ though. Anything we can pull off with Sam we can pull off with PJ.

Yep. If you look at Wilks last 3 NFL seasons in Clev, AZ and Car….his blitz % runs much higher than Snow in the NFL. Heavy blitz and heavy zone.

The plays largely all already exist. it’s just different philosophy. The calls change.

If you say there is little difference between Phil Snow being in control of a D vs someone like Wilks…..you can have that opinion I guess. You can all it knowing football too. I know enough about football to know 2 different coaches can use the same defensive playbook to call drastically different games though

I mean you can easily call a defensive game drastically different from one game to the next. heck, you can drastically call a defensive game different one half vs the 2nd. There are simply philosophy differences between Wilks and Snow

Culture has nothing to do with the fact Snow and Wilks view running and calling a defense different. so yeah, it will be interesting to see how Wilks opts to play the Rams.

It will be interesting to see what Steve’s vision is Sunday for the D. If he just comes out and plays cover 3 and let’s the Rams pick the DB for Kupp to target? It is going to be a long day for some of them.

I think when Ron gets fired he takes legit time off. He looks like he needs it. and when he is ready to return I think he will have a pretty easy time finding a DC job.

Let’s say we could add a QB to our roster this season that required no draft picks to acquire? 73% completion percentage as a starter with his current team 66% completion percentage with his prior pro team as starter 16 TDs to 7 INTs as pro starter? Would you be in favor of that? Yay? Trick question!!!! He is already here! Its PJ SZN!!!! But CRA PJ sucks and we are playing the Super Bowl champs and we just fired our HC and we are 100% going to lose yada yada yada listen I can’t explain PJ magic to you guys. It’s not worth trying. I'm okay with the largely being hired together too though. Almost a package deal. They need the same overall vision. And you can't force it. You can't make a guy think X if he believes Y in his heart in terms of football. That's the Matt Rhule approach of building a coaching staff. You need a GM/HC that value the same things. That also are working on the same timeline. Two that are willing to go through a legit rebuild together. That never seemed to be the case with Rhule + Hurney or Rhule + Fitt. Nothing about this team actually said we were really going to build this team from the ground up.

You got the warning for calling someone an “idiot” as you went about posting your position. you seem to have some pretty big blinders on why you got your hand slapped. No mods give a poo about you bashing Rhule/Tepper/McAdoo/anyone else. And you don’t bash all those guys as well or as often as many of the mods of this forum have been doing.

You weren’t a given a warning for disagreeing or thinking Fitt should get fired. Those things by themselves are perfectly fine. You can’t bluntly insult people while doing it. It’s not an overly complex concept.

I think Fitt needs to be shown the door. I want a new HC/GM. I can’t stand keeping one of the two. HC and GMs in large part should be married. Hurney should of gone with Ron. Fitt should go now. Rare examples when I am cool keeping the GM after you fire the HC. If a coach chooses to retire or something and you are promoting from within then I am cool with it. Fitt hasn’t been good here either. And he has no resume where you can excuse everything and put it all on Rhule. Maybe it is. But it’s not worth the gamble. He shouldn’t of taken the job if he has no actual power/role. He made horrible adds and managed our draft capital poorly. we need a real vision. And a new GM/HC should have that.

I think the end of the presser showed the real Tepper. Beginning of it was him playing the role he was prepped to display. Did he sound humbled and defeated at the end of the presser? Issue with Tepper is he isn't going to sell the team and he is the one person we are stuck with. So while he probably is problem #1 he is one problem we can't expect to change any time soon. We need a good HC/GM combo. Simple as that. A combo that can deal with a bad owner and mitigate it.

I mean, my position essentially remains the same. If you don't have a QB or OL.....you shouldn't spend a top 10 pick on a DB. saying that was never about Horn being a good DB prospect. Jags hit it out of the park with Ramsey too. Doesn't equate to wins.

Shaq isn’t a bust. He is a solid LB. Shaq is following in the footsteps of Luke, Davis, Beason and Morgan. Solid LB play isn’t what we are accustomed to and for the first time in a LONG time we don’t have an elite LB.
