I mean anything is possible. But Clemson and UNC got strong odds of pretty easily taking care of business this week. Think folks are putting way too much stock in some games that were pretty flukey. USC isn’t actually good despite beating Tenn and UNC isn’t as bad as losing to to GA Tech suggests.

Wilks is just a variant of Rivera or Fox. I continue to prefer we go with an offensive minded HC. That’s just the way the league has moved.

if I was a power 5 school I would be making a hard run at Deion Sanders. Hard. Especially in a NIL world. Would be so easy to get recruits to flood into his school. I think Sanders probably is in a weird spot though. In his little time coaching he already has had a big impact with HBCUs. So there probably is some pressure to stay put for him.

It's hard in college to actually succeed that way though. Which is why Rhule really didn't do much of anything in college either. His college resume was wildly overblown. Still is. I think people are rethinking that. Because in reality, all he did was win 1 conference title at Temple. That's it. That's not a great college resume. .

I still find in interesting Rhule claimed his regret was not getting to know his players until year 3 in Carolina. Which you can follow back to odd comments about sitting down with Sam Darnold for the first time halfway through a season and stuff like that. I suspect that is what he always has really been. He wasn't an X and O guy. Not a good game manager. Not even a players coach and people manager. He was basically a generic slogan guy that liked to micromanage from his office.

the rise of Trey Lance and Zach Wilson post college career and the fall of Justin Fields in that draft continues to scramble my brain. Fields was always 1b with Trevor.

Jets have beaten 5 of their last 6 opponents with Wilson at QB. Including wins against the Bills and Phins. seems a bit odd the Jets HC is calling out the young QB. Bill Belichick got him. Happens to lots of guys. Jets RBs averaged 1 yard a carry on Sunday. I didn’t like him coming out. Don’t think he is good. But why not just let him play the year and let all the questions get answered on him. Joe Flacco isn’t leading you any where this season. Bench him and you still have Zach Wilson questions IMO.

Bowl games, just give me Clemson/Bama and OU/Gamecocks. That seems about right. The 2 "falling" programs and then the Rattler connection (and Venables history vs SC) of the OU/Gamecock game. Seems like decent TV.

all comes down to QB. Got to have it. Haven't had the play there 2 years running now. Really wish they would have just prepared and groomed the Cade kid all season. Dabo too focused on proving folks wrong on DJ. Football folks claimed Cade was a rare one coming out of HS. But we realistically have seen him once all season get actual work.

I wish Clemson could trade the Gamecocks in for a real SEC team to play each year. My kids have never even seen a Gamecock win over Clemson. We should just be playing SC State each year if we trying to throw a bone to a local school.

Dabo got a better record vs Bama and Ohio State than any coach in those 2 conferences. Big bad Georgia's toughest game last year was against a down Clemson team. SEC and the Big 10 got 2 teams each. And they are great programs. Then a bunch of slop teams in both conferences living off them and talking poo.

We could play 11 on 1 and Will Shipley would still beat yall.

|"hitting their stride" - they literally got their doors blown off the week prior by a weak Florida team lol. what happened was a very weak Tenn defense had a really bad day. Nothing more. the rosters aren't even close between Carolina/Clemson right now.

Hey man, Clemson and Clemson/Carolina is way more exciting to talk about than anything the Panthers got going on right now. Sorry I got a little excited to talk some football lol.

No one here is salty lol. Just talking basic football. The Gamecocks don't have a good offense. And they especially have proven not to be able to function against decent defenses. And Clemson has some of the best DL talent in the nation. There is a reason Rattler entered that game Saturday with more picks than TDs. Clemson's roster is just better. Top to bottom. Have better coaches. And the game is in Death Valley were they have won 40 straight. Gamecocks aren't winning that one. *and yes, DJU sucks. But given the massive talent differential they blew them out last year despite DJ 30-0 in Colulmbia. Clemson will play D and let college McCaffrey do his thing.
