Didn't turn off Mike Tomlin. Who hasn't had a losing season. Ever. Going on year 17. He is a freakshow and the Steelers and their players have glowed about him. I put more on what guys do on the field and potential vs how good they might interview. I suspect a ton of guys interview poorly. Rookies to vets.

Dude is a 6'7 freakshow. That play was merely an example of what a freakshow can do. Which meant stepping on the field day 1 and smoking Mr. Everything Bosa with that block. Pretty sure we also had a turnover on 4th and 1 with the run. That's not all he can do. He wasn't a Tommy Tremble prospect. He would be a freakish big target to develop for Young going forward.....in the pass game. That's not hindsight. He was my pick when they went up to reach for DJ. Thought the priority should of been on weapons for Young. Which is still my position. DJ Johnson - 0 snaps week 1.

I mean, he got his foot stuck in the turf. That’s how turf tears ACLs all the time. Could be several different things. X ray isn’t going to show any of them
-
X-rays don’t show ACL injuries that MetLife turf always takes folks down
-
Tweets won’t embed on mobile anymore for me… but some NFL players are rightfully calling out the turf. Packers lineman noting how these stadiums are quick to all roll in some grass for top tier soccer teams to come into their stadium.

PFF’s highest graded player of the game. Mrs. Rhule’s pick Hubbard
-
I tried to tell people that a really good franchise deemed him inconsistent and unreliable over the last 3 years. Banged up fumbles, horrific routes, hands. It was always something each year with Sanders. They deemed him a committee back they could part with…..we deemed him worthy of lead RB pay.
-
Imagine signing that contract and being worse than Hubbard… and we had a rookie QB debuting on the road and asked him to pass 38 times. Imagine thinking it’s the QB’s fault.

still hate Fitt didn't grab the TE Washington and went with DJ Johnson. Washington man handles Nick Bosa

essentially we gave up CMC, DJ, a future 1st, two 2nds, two 4ths......just to move up a couple draft spots in round 1 and 3. That's a pretty big gamble. And the history of giving up a lot isn't a good one.

Bryce might need to learn....a punt sometimes is a good play. Otherwise it could lead to a bad day to have a bad day. I mean, oh wee mayne. It is what it is.
-
Oh, I got you. I was thinking it was a 2nd deep throw I somehow missed in the 2nd half like the TMJ one was based on what some said.
-
I didn't get to watch the full 2nd half. Where is the Mingo throw? I assume on the all Bryce throws video they accidently showed a run play in it's place?
-
he didn't think it was coming....and you can see why. That didn't look to be part of the gameplan.

and there were cameras all over the field pregame. Sanders son just selling nonsense about the disrespect on the field. and it's crazy how people just run with words. Matt Rhule doesn't need folks to make him look bad. He certainly doesn't need folks selling lies that might force someone to defend him. Because that sucks.
-
Yeah, this is just team Sanders manufacturing motivation out of nothing. Matt Rhule was literally fanboying out all week about Sanders. I think the real mental gymnastics was over an old quote by Rhule. About how a lot of coaches were looking forward to the portal window and he was just looking forward to coaching his guys. Which is a nothing comment for a coach at a new school doing his best to keep whatever he has. Unless you are an uber sensitive Deion. Team Sanders is full of bolgona. And it's the 2nd week in a row they were selling BS postgame.

True. A Kelce. A Tyreek Hill. But that's not DJ Chark. And those teams are loaded with speed that gets open. I mean Mahomes had a bad day...but it's not because his WRs couldn't get open. They were having different issues.

winning games in 2023 is not important for Carolina, Houstin or Indy. Developing the QB is what matters at those 3 locations. The season is going to be judged by how the QB looks at the end of the year......not what the w/l column is.
-
It's Brady-ish. I don't think coaches should worry about "fixing" stuff like that. You can ruin dudes tinkering with what got them to this level. It would be like trying to fix Phillip Rivers shotputting the ball. That's just what they are.
-
I mean, but he is a gadget roleplayer. You can only go to that well so much. Plus, if you leave him out there to try to make it less obvious it becomes just a WR that runs bad routes and can't get separation. 2-3 touches is about what that type guy is supposed to do. The problem is elsehwere IMO.
