  1. Frank did it last year when everyone was blasting his playcalling in Indy. It didn’t buy him much time because it doesn’t alter the problem.
  2. Fire the OC who isn’t calling the plays and whose base offense isn’t what is installed here? Because this is Frank and Beans core offense we are running. yeah, sounds about right. That’s how the NFL goes
  3. We presently do not have a significantly more talented offense around the QB this year. Especially factoring the type offense we want to run this year. The Rhule window last year had way better skill talent. Like not even close. The Wilks window was at least supplied with talent to do what he wanted on O. We don’t have the skill talent to run what we are attempting. It’s basically exactly what you don’t want overall.
  4. I’m fairness, you can’t be a good QB with this skill talent and playcalling.
  5. Frank has been asked countless times about when he would turn over playcalling. I’ve never seen him ever put a time stamp on it. It’s always vague and that one day he would like to turn it over. Franks play calling is trash and has been trash for some time. It also highlights 2 bad traits. Stubborn and lacks self awareness. You would have thought post Indy he would have focused his efforts on being the HC if he was afforded a 2nd shot
  6. Biggest issue is we did go rebuild. the Panthers just didn’t want to use that language to the fanbase that hasn’t seen a winning season in a long time and coming off Rhule. They wanted excitement going into this season.
  7. Maybe… HC can’t tell you the play…which is ok But he also can’t tell you what type of injury. High ankle anything….which is okay. But he also had Bryce up on his ankle yesterday despite labeling him a DNP. And if you starting QB is hurt and you wanted to get him healthy to play that is odd….which is okay. And they had Bryce hoofing it all over BOA today, fat dudes and punters even take carts to the field. Bryce hoofing it. Injured QB? Doesn’t seem like they are treating it as a big deal. Or trying to get him off it. There was already an argument they were on a quick path to ruining his development after 2 weeks. Pumping the breaks with no injury was already the path they were looking down. The O to date hasn’t been enough to support developing a rookie QB. If you are legitimately a Bryce fan and want him to develop….you should take issue with what this team has done around him.
  8. You can ruin a QB early and derail his odds of success by putting them in a horrific spot. All reps aren’t equally nor are situations.
  9. Fitt/Frank are 100% tied to the success of Bryce Young. so yeah, not ruining him out the gate benefits them both. And the current trajectory was really bad through 2 games. Seattle was projecting to continue the bad trend. We don’t have the offense presently to support a rookie QB. It’s how you ruin a QB. So they pumped the breaks. It’s very easy to see why pumping the breaks is to everyone’s benefit….because everything hinges on him developing.
  10. all you got to do is turn on the film of them not being able to separate to quiet them down.
  11. I eagerly came to give pie for a well placed Lavar Ball gif. I now leave, giving no pie.
  12. Dalton's last start he had 170 yards and his team scored 7 points. That was being paired with a top 5 defense. Andy Dalton has been called up the last 5 years. He has never gotten above .500 in any of those seasons when asked to start. Andy Dalton is horrible at this stage. And if he lights it up.....good lord? This place will be insane.
  13. look at the bright side, the ticket affords you the ability to watch some good football instead.
  14. I mean, you knew Dalton was starting after the presser yesterday with Frank. He said it without saying it. - Bryce has a mystery ankle injury from an unknown play - Frank can't even tell you why type of sprain they think it might be - He then bragged about Bryce standing up on that bad ankle to watch Dalton all walkthrough. It's a short week to deafening Seattle....big injury, little injury, no injury......sitting young makes sense after what Frank has put him in to start the season. Get a functional offense up and running before throwing Bryce into it. Not sure that they have the talent to be that or Frank has any clue how to get it functional yet with this skill talent. Do that, then insert Young into it. No talented QB can grow in this current setup.
  15. again, it's more about the look of that 2010 offense. That's the similarity. How Carolina is getting to that type offense is different. 2010 was pathetic because of the QB. Which isn't why we are getting to this type offense in 2023. It's more about the failures around Bryce. Jimmy was the failed part in 2010. Jimmy brought the O down. Now it's the O limiting Bryce. Because Bryce can play at level out the gate Jimmy never could.
  16. Functional? Maybe after the bye. But this offense isn't going to be respectable with Frank Reich calling plays and this skill talent in 2023. Frank is what he is and the skill talent is what it is. Pending their isn't some miracle where someone tranforms quickly like a Mingo or TMJ into a vastly different player. But the rest is what it is. Hurst, Theilen, Chark, etc all are what they are. And there just aren't good odds that Mingo or TMJ can make massive enough jumps to really alter things. but I always thought pre bye it was going to be really rough. Hope would for Bryce over coming some of it and growing down the stretch. But that doesn't mean wins. or even good offense. Just good individual play in a meh spot.
  17. jump balls to average WRs that aren't open? I can probably guess what happens at fairly high percentage. And it results in people being mad at Bryce for throwing INTs.
  18. Dalton's last start, he generated 170 passing yards and his offense had 7 points. 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022. Dalton has been called upon the last 5 seasons to step in. Never able to get above .500 in with his opportunities. Dalton to an extent is a Bryce type QB. Just the opposite end of the spectrum. He needs the talent around him to do the work. Bryce because he is a rookie and Dalton because he now sucks.
  19. I wasn't talking about in the stands of BOA. I mean, outside BOA. So the media gets ramped on him. The talk shows. The online world. It's already frankly started. And it's super early for Frank to be dealing with all the stuff that got him ran out of Indy. Honeymoon window already over. Which was SUPER quick. I think Frank feels that.
  20. well, look, I get the comparison to a degree. Not so much as players.....but the Carolina offenses. It's basically operating similarly. Difference is, Jimmy was just bad and had talent he could of taken advantage. Bryce and Jimmy clearly aren't the same players. The offensive results are similar however. There was a big difference in what was around those 2 in terms of talent.
  21. I mean, we hired someone fired for his bland, predictable and boring offense. I mean, you can go read old Indy stuff and find mirrored complaints. A 60+ year old coach ain't changing his ways. Which is why the Brown hire doesn't really matter. Frank is calling the plays. It's Frank's core offense. and we got weak skill talent. that doesn't cater to what Bryce Young does well. and this is the predictable result.
  22. the Prime Vision with Next Gen Stats really cool for anyone that hasn't checked it out. It's not the normal Amazon broadcast. This years version highlights the player when they get open/separation and tracks all sorts of stuff. They also use the full view of field.
  23. Frank knew in that presser he is going to start Andy Dalton this week IMO. and Frank knows he has a mess on his hands in terms of dealing w/ those outside BOA coming. That folks are going to be coming at the fired Indy coach soon.....with the same complaints. and really early. Which is a bad start for the Frank era.
  24. Scott and Fitt are the ones who need the heat. This season has opened up just as predictably bad as the last 2 did. Folks just didn't want to hear it. Just like they didn't going into prior seasons. And that prediction of it going south early wasn't about Bryce. It was about Frank and what he was putting around a rookie. Nothing about it looked like this org was doing Young good. It's all setup for Bryce to have to play well above what a rookie QB should be expected of. It was easy to see this coming IMO. Cam was setup for success as a rookie Bryce was setup to have a rough life And that's not hindsight. People just didn't want to acknowledge that coming in.
  25. Marty, Dave, Fitt *Fitt can at least move potentially. Marty is the prettiest ugly girl simply because of his home runs. It’s a long list. People like to mention the success during Dave’s window….but it was off the backs of Marty’s super studs entering their primes IMO. Marty probably doesn’t get the credit he deserves for those home runs. Lots of franchise draft high. They don’t hit like that.
