  1. yeah, I don't get conservative play for a bottom rung team that isn't actually going to do anything. Be aggressive and go for points. 4th and 1 should often be a no brainer. You got nothing to lose.
  2. DE, DT, LB, DB. Start there. I still like the Carter and then Carter draft mindset (but the 2nd Carter has been a little disappointing this year). Penn St and Clemson.
  3. the real test of where Bryce presently is remains Philly. Tampa has the 30th ranked pass D. KC had the 23rd ranked pass D. Philly has the #1 ranked pass D......and on top of that it will be real cold ( and per Cam Newton, real cold exposes weak NFL arms). Can Bryce be average in that scenario....that's the test.
  4. they said during the KC game he was hurt and it would limit what they could ask of him. I wonder if he is still just nursing something. Overall those were non-pressure easy kicks....which is what he built his resume on as being the most accurate kicker in NFL history doing.
  5. “Just a reaction, just a reaction”. which is probably true. Natural instinct for most isn’t to try to go one on one with that big fella in a random split second. I didn’t notice it live. Replay and the right angle shows Bryce thought about it and a window to try.
  6. Bryce being asked in his presser why he pulled a Cam and didn’t try to jump on the fumble….
  7. I don’t think he is a good play caller. and I never support meh playcallers calling the plays as HC. Be a HC. And that’s amplified when we are talking a green newb at both. that said, we should of won regardless of that. Hubbard can’t put the ball on the ground
  8. What I really wish happened in football in both college and pro….is after a game is over and the league/conference/refs “explain” what happened on a call…..that explanation was public info. Because you know sometimes the response is….well, we got that one wrong. I’d love to hear the explanation on the Mafah fumble. Clemson runs a play to the SC 20. They then blow the whistle after that play to go back to review the play before that. And they give SC the ball despite the fact that play was blown dead before SC “recovered” the ball. I mean you don’t even have to get into the was he down with possession argument/fumble/lateral part. No point arguing that component. How do you rewind the clock like that after a full play is off AND then how do you award possession for what happened after a play was blown dead.
  9. well, every fanbase can argue if it wasn’t for the refs they would have won a game they lost. But aside from that, I’m good either way. SC or Bama. I think that will be far down the list of complaints when the dust settles. frankly I’m rooting for chaos so the CFP has to really show their hands and set precedence year 1 of the 12 team format. Or outrage is generated so they fix the format/criteria
  10. Isn’t he hurt? Last week when he was kicking they said he had an injury that limited what he could kick out there I think
  11. I think they are the same tier teams. I think most of the top 25 really is. I’d probably let head to head settle the differences. That OU loss would make me think long and hard though. With no dog in that fight, I could understand it either way
  12. Well, coaches poll is out. It was pretty in-sync with the CFP poll last week. Think the top 12 was all the same outside of the Miami/UGA flip. Gamecocks 12. Bama at 11. that puts Gamecocks as first out as of right now. Lot of SEC fans pulling against Clemson and Iowa St this weekend. They would knock Bama out too
  13. When that arm locked up stiff after….you know the brain ain’t right. and somehow that defender still was talking poo and acting a fool after. I get bang bang and making a mistake. Fug dudes who actually give zero poos after. His PR forced apology will be meaningless after
  14. That unfairly punishes teams. Which I get a SEC fan having little sympathy or understanding. It’s a problem you are essentially uniquely immune to. Final poll was Michigan 1 and Washington 2 last year. Indiana had them both of them this year….they have no control of what they became. As a Clemson fan, every year when it was the final 4….everyone argued we didn’t belong because of SOS. Underdogs in every game, ever played in the CFP. 2nd most wins though and 2nd most nattys. I’m sure your model would have kept Clemson out almost every year. No control of what Auburn, A&M, SC, ND, UGA, etc would or wouldn’t be. Old model never guaranteed entry. New one should scrap it too. It will be silly for Clemson and Iowa St to make it in….way more so than Indiana IMO.
  15. How do you leave out an 11-1 BIG10 team in a 12 team format? Just this weekend, #2 and #6 just got beat by unranked teams. Took #4 8 OTs to beat an unranked ACC team. There just don’t to be any great teams this year. And non- great teams have bad weeks. 12 team format is just meh. I think the bigger argument is conference champs shouldn’t get an auto entry. I mean, imagine if Clemson and Iowa St win this weekend. Which both could happen. Coin flip games really. Spread think opened 1.5 or 2.5 on those. That would be 2 teams outside the top 15 in. If you can’t punish teams for losing, then you can’t really reward them either so they ain’t moving Columbia, SC going to have a stroke if Clemson gets in and they are on the outside and get sent to the Taco Bell Kmart Bowl vs Miami lol. Indiana won’t be talked about then really torn. I do want Clemson to win the ACC. That would be 8 of the last 10 and 2 of the last 3. That would feel good given the hate Dabo gets about the portal /NIL. I don’t care to see them in a CFP they don’t belong in though. Because they don’t. So Clemson would just get poo on for pulling off the ACC in the end. A win/lose.
  16. This whole season feels weird. There doesn’t seem to be the standard 2-3 stud teams. I think there I still a top tier but it’s weaker than in the past. the middle of the top 25 I feel has better odds vs the top 5 than in years past. I and dislike the feel the new playoff system. Imagine if Clemson wins. You got the ACC and Big12 making the whole system a joke. Because you would have 2 teams not in the top 15 taking up multiple spots.
  17. lot of post game flag planting fighting today…. UNC/ NC State going at it Michigan and OSU went at it
  18. Syracuse, GT, VT, Cal…..the comfort wasn’t seen by outsiders vs them. That’s half the ACC slate.
  19. No way to realistically make a run at a natty with that defense in Miami. They were on the ropes every week in the ACC because of it. I worry about Ward and Sanders at the NFL level given how they haven’t dealt with the repercussions of holding the ball like they have in college. Think it’s getting too much in their DNA…and NFL defenses will get home….
  20. Bruh. There is no ACC team that realistically had a chance this year at a natty. That’s been known for some time. Miami isn’t a good team. They have shown that all season in ACC play. They just got a crazy good QB on a bad team.
  21. a good day after all! if given the option of going to the ACC Championship or beating SC this am….I would have picked this option
  22. Yeah, Miami has to win to get in. Syracuse has a chance to win. Miami settled for a FG. 42-38 Syracuse’s. 3 left. TD here would win it for them I think
  23. Iowa kid post game had the killer line “Come to Iowa. Be a Hawk. See the difference.”
