Fitt sucks that’s why. Tepper’s first HC hire was really horrific because Tepper doesn’t know football. Same applies to his first GM hire….some are still just in denial about how bad Fitt is in on every deal. Stupidity praised as genius. Why would you ever want to be in on every deal.

Remember when folks were saying - it’s better not having a #1. This is one of the best WR corps we have ever had. No one will have a clue where the QB is going with the ball. It’s going to be such an advantage.

I admitted he got treatment after the game.....along with most starters. That's routine. His being, his ankle. They used that as the excuse to give him the breather. Because he frankly needed it. Seattle projected bad and would have gone bad for him. Carr literally went to the hospital after the game. Where they ran a bunch of test on the shoulder we saw him hurt in the game. The exact play. The coach in his very first presser could tell you the act type injury to the shoulder area. AC joint. They know that because they ran a bunch of stuff on it and thought it was going to be way worse. and Carr is out there practicing today, throwing on the injured shoulder, not ruled out, trying to get ready to play. LOL. You not having the grade of the AC sprain doesn't make these two things the same. That some weak kung fu to try to square that. Especially at this stage, with the way the Saints have been with Carr from Sunday to today.

yeah, that's generally how it has historically been justified. Well, maybe this one contract isn't smart but it's just one. When you consistently do it (which we do).....it flat out eventually impacts you. It's not about Sanders in a vacuum. It's about a franchise that consistently does it with players. Miles is an example. So when you overpay Sanders, Ian Thomas, Robbie Anderson and all sorts of role players.....it all starts adding up and taking up more and more pointless cap space. Because you can find guys that fill those roles for dirt cheap. Then, with great management of the roster.....you might can get away with being stupid on a Brian Burns.

I mean, you largely just acknowledged the soft benching while claiming it was conspiracy theory. and you are adding stuff like "because he didn't want Young", which isn't the soft benching argument. Yes and no on what aspect? that Miles' cap hit isn't way too big next year given what he has shown a half decade into his NFL career? or you think RBs hit some big improvement going into year 5 or 6? You could of put Hubbard in Philly and he would have had 1000 yards with the early down touches.

when a NFL defense knows what you are doing.....you aren't going to be successful. That's our story IMO. you need dominant talent for the you know what I am doing but try and stop me approach.

It's his 5th year in the NFL. 5 years in at the RB spot, you pretty much are what you are. At least that's how you should be paid. Could something change? Sure. But you shouldn't pay RBs going into year 5 off hopes and wishes. We did. I don't give a rip about how much any player takes home. I only care about the cap space game. And when you start adding up players like Miles, Robbie, etc taking up way more cap space than they should.....it eventually impacts what you can do with your roster.

Peyton rewrote the NFL rookie record book. There was a lot of really good mixed in with the really bad. Peyton at least showed the special side. Was just about getting rid of the bad.

Scenario 3. The Panthers OL continues to allow comical pressure. Minnesota blitzes like crazy and plays the short routes. Frank runs up the gut behind bad G play and everything continues to look as it has under predictable and slow change Frank. Bryce is put in bad spot after bad spot as the game goes on. The amount of pressure Seattle applied should of resulted in a turnover or two and we don't get lucky allowing that 2 weeks in a row. *the injury wasn't fake. But I don't think injury was likely significantly enough to keep him from playing or even practicing. Just mentioning it was sore gave them the excuse to give him a breather on a short week to a really rough environment. Every starter likely reports some bruise or bump. And it was the right call....we saw the noise and pressure that occurred. It would have been poor management of a developing player given how bad Frank's O around the QB presently is.

maybe it's 7th. maybe it ends up being 10th. I doubt it changes much because new deals that get signed will follow the same pattern of that first year being very friendly to their cap (like Miles was this year). regardless, it will be too much cap space dedicated to an early down committee RB. And those type runners are dirt cheap. See the Foreman rental the other year. Impact of the cap in a given year is all that matters to me. And we have a long history of bad contracts. Look at how much cap space Robbie Anderson is occupying this season in Carolina. Was always stupid. We consistently overpay role-players like they are better than are simply because we seemly wish for them to be better.

7th largest cap hit next year amongst all RBs. When you talk about a bad contract, it generally isn’t structured to show up in the first year.

This isn't a must win game. We were always going to have a losing season this year. Wins were never supposed to matter this year. Developing Bryce forward by year end is all that has ever mattered. People didn't want to listen to this prior to the year kicking off. It never mattered that Frank said he wanted to win. That is just standard coach bologna you say to a losing fanbase.

I’d much rather have someone with Carolina roots own the Panthers than someone from up north. That has nothing to do with hate or being scared of people. we have an older stadium. Tepper has no attachment to the area. End of the day, it’s just money and business to him. Even if low, he brings higher risk of a move down the road.

The Frank Reich’s Colts drafted him. Bryce Young always had a run game at Bama. we need to run. We got a rookie QB. The Seattle game being reenacted is a horrific idea for Dalton or Bryce. That’s why too much passing. We allow way too much pressure to be that out of whack with our pass/run ratio.

Hill, Diggs, McLaurin, St. Brown, Lockett, Godwin Aiyuk. All 3rd round or later WRs that posted 1000+ last year. And that's just WRs. Kelce, Andrews, at TE were also 3rd rounders. I'd rather play the 3rd round lotto for better than Jerry. You can just go to free agency and rent a Jerry.
