  1. We don’t just have 1 problem Bryce is limited. Talent wise in the NFL. Frank runs a horrible offense and there are no studs on the roster that have the talent to overcome that marriage and just make something special happen out of nothing.
  2. It would be close. We have a roster of guys that ideally are #3 WRs. That’s LaFell. LaFell was flat out better overall WR than present day Mingo, TMJ, Shenault and Chark at WR. Old Thielen is still better. But it’s not that wild to say. It’s wrong because of Theilen but I’m not sure the gap is that massive. If you forced feed LaFell on easy routes he would have yards at this point too.
  3. it's always a mix. But I think overall, talent generally speaking is the most important. I mean, horrific coaching or horrific talent can torpedo anything. But would you rather have: A - Great talent, average coaching B - Great coaching, average talent. Because to me, with A you can get a 2015 season. Not consistent but you get the special. with B, you get the present day New England Patriots. Doesn't matter that much at the NFL level if you got great coaching and mid level talent. You will never really do anything with so many freaks in the NFL that get paired with middle tier coaching.
  4. meh. Just draft Caleb and Harrison Jr. The trading out of it is where Chicago would end up screwing it all up.
  5. He had 2 Pro Bowl RBs He had pro bowlers on the OL and he had an all world WR to throw to while the 2 TE scheme was emphasized it was a great setup for a high draft pick
  6. Nothing rose colored about it. People have always let how horrific Clausen was skew it. 2 Pro Bowl RBs 1 HOF WR 2 Pro Bowl TEs Pro Bowl LT Pro Bowl C Most underrated lineman in Panther history in Wharton that’s your entire blind side. All Cam had to do was worry about the RT. Which is basically a dream OL setup for a rookie. And Kalil could take care of the calls for him. that’s a flat out fantastic group around a high draft pick QB. Who always go to bad offensive scenarios. *Olsen was Olsen, Bears just weren’t taking advantage of the first round TE. Shockey while not in his prime was exactly the type great vet player you surround a rookie with.
  7. I think he can be a good QB But his size and arm flat out limit what he can do at this level vs others. He always had the lowest ceiling of any top QB in the draft for that reason. He can be an elite game manager on a good team. But there will always be limitation. Lack of extending plays and throws that simply aren’t on the table but would be for others
  8. Rookie/developing Cam was in a great spot. Cam’s rookie season was a dream scenario for a rookie QB.
  9. Frank was literally asked in his presser why the ball went deeper more vs Seattle. He is on video at his presser.
  10. Because he is a proven horrible actual WR that can’t run routes and despite the athletic ability can’t get open. so they scheme him up a couple screens or routes a game.
  11. Frank conceded he has to put new plays in for Dalton downfield per the vets request. Which certainly implied Frank intentionally kept it short weeks 1-2 at least vs Seattle
  12. Probably better to just check out a 6 minute clip each week to get up to speed on Young than wasting a couple hours on Sunday at this stage
  13. Big fan of these cut ups that show you all the snaps. It’s just TV footage but I like going back and watching. Just figured I’d share if anyone else likes them.
  14. Yep, this is the Frank issue. Frank is horrific and was begged to quit doing it in Indy. He refused. Now he is being called out here. He can’t turn it over because there really is nowhere to go but up. Then what does that make him?
  15. we brought back an entire OL that was what? Decent at archaic football? They aren't being asked to do that. That's not 2023 NFL football. Those are 2 different things. It's like old Cam Newton scoring some ugly TDs on the ground and then saying you don't understand why he also just sit back and pass. He scored TDs! I'm not sure Miles Sanders is a better RB than Foreman. What shows that? One season as an early down RB behind the Eagles OL? Foreman would abuse folks running behind that Philly OL. Because you couldn't play Foreman. The biggest problem is people buying into the Panther PR/fluff. It was talked about going in. -this wasn't an allstar staff - the backfield wasn't strong enough nor suited for the offense we would be running - the WRs didn't suit the offense we would be running - defense were going to come out and sit on the small ball pass attack and make life miserable for Bryce - OL leans toward run blocking that doesn't mesh well with what Frank + Bryce marriage in 2023 - Frank Reich is a horrific playcaller that will compound every issue and should never call plays here. People just didn't want to listen. All the above was said and predictable.
  16. probably fell between #6 and #13. That site only shows the 5 best and worst.
  17. offense scored 1 TD going into the 4th and it was on a busted coverage. I mean, credit to Dalton for seeing it but that performance is overhyped. OL was trash allowing a ton of pressure. We couldn't run for a single yard. And the Seahawks are a bad defense. Dalton handled it better than Bryce would have. And an ancient QB logged the most pass attempts in his long career to in order to generate that rather ordinary starting QB pass yardage.
  18. this remains an unfair assessment. The Carolina was just a QB away in 2022 narrative. We played in a horrific division and had an easy schedule. That's just a formula for a weak team to stumble into wins in a quirky season. Then you add in opponents weren't equipped to deal with archaic football. Carolina wasn't playing solid football last year. They were playing 1950s football. Which helped limit and show how bad we were as a 2022 NFL offense because we weren't playing like one....and it aided a OL that wasn't really good at pass pro.
  19. I wouldn't be shocked to see Burns traded. They couldn't agree on a deal. Now it's evident we are going to suck for some time. I think they slowly start to shift the language to full rebuild. Which is what we were setup to be doing. This braintrust just couldn't tell the difference between up and down. but it's Fitt. Mr. In On Every Deal that is bad for Carolina. So it will be a bad one. Probably trades Burns for Chosen Anderson and gives them a 4th on top of it.
  20. Lions currently leading the NFL in QB pressures with 49 through 4 weeks. When did Frank figure out that ankle was a problem last time? Wed?
  21. Offense 1. WR Laviska Shenault Jr.: 81.3 2. WR Adam Thielen: 73.5 3. WR Terrace Marshall Jr.: 71.4 4. LT Ikem Ekwonu: 70.4 5. RB Chuba Hubbard: 67.4 14. RB Miles Sanders: 55.2 15. WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette: 54.0 16. TE Giovanni Ricci: 52.3 17. TE Hayden Hurst: 44.0 18. LG Chandler Zavala: 37.0 Defense 1. S Jeremy Chinn: 85.0 2. CB Troy Hill: 76.7 3. S Sam Franklin Jr.: 75.5 4. OLB Amaré Barno: 69.7 5. OLB DJ Johnson: 67.2 16. OLB Brian Burns: 47.4 17. DE LaBryan Ray: 47.0 18. DT Nick Thurman: 44.9 19. DT DeShawn Williams: 40.6 20. CB D’Shawn Jamison: 38.7 Panthers PFF grades: Best and worst from Week 4 loss to Vikings (usatoday.com)
  22. So the two worst starts to date in Panther history are the 0-5 last year of Fox season and the 0-7 last year of Capers season. football is football, odds would say we should enter the bye at 0-6 (given we play the Dolphins and Lions next). Houston, Indy, and Chicago are the first 3 after the bye. Does Frank set new worst start opening mark and get to 0-8? I think Carolina (0-8) and Chicago (0-9) meet personally. Just seems fitting.
  23. Sanders got drug in Philly for running his mouth about the boos in Philly. Eagles Fans Chirp Miles Sanders After Asking Them To Stop Booing (brobible.com)
  24. Miles got boo'd in Philly. You get paid millions to play a dumb game. You are the entertainment. You get boo'd when you suck for 4 straight weeks.
